  1. FFVII deserves a spot in the top of many lists. I just dislike Squeenix, so I have trouble saying nice thing about a title of theirs.
  2. Planescape Torment Alpha Protocol Arcanum of Steamwork and Magik Obscura Also Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri - I play it like an RPG... Vampire Bloodlines was good but it showed where things were cut. Kotor was fun and we'll written for a BioWare game. Dragon Age Origins had so much potential that it hurts how whiny the npcs were. Swtor could have been a great series of single player RPGs. Same goes for Secret World.
  3. Just another day in Mordheim: The Mordheim Inquisition were scattered across the ruins, making them easy targets for Daemons and Undead. They fought back bravely. And luckily the Undead cared not what they attacked, though the Daemonette made short work of the zombie. In the end, of the three fighters who had to be carried back to camp, one made a full recovery, while the other two would not fight for the warband again, their injuries too debilitating: (one armed archer?) And while all that was happening, the leader was gathering shiny green rocks:
  4. I'll post some Driftlands screenshots then: Moving a floating island to my kingdom and connecting it with bridges: Also, some heroes doing hero stuff:
  5. Visual Novel RPG. It has turn based combat and you level your characters. Loren the Amazon Princess by Winter Wolves Games. They do these kind of VN RPGs. I played Loren and both Planet Stronghold games of theirs. I mean to get Seasons of the Wolves and Cursed Lands, since those are in the same setting as Loren.
  6. Chambara always feels like a copy of Morrigan. Not romancing Loren then?
  7. The boss battle in Outer Worlds was tedious.
  8. The board hates me. I refused to do a mission for someone, so she drew a gun on me. I shot her in the head, the door burst open and guards rushed in.
  9. I got bored. I need to head to the Hope and you know what for you know who and not side with you know who else. Am I almost done?
  10. Mordheim screenshots!
  11. Re-started CK2 again. I am going for the most difficult thing I could find: A Lunatic Lady Chieftain in a one island norse kingdom. She is good at killing people and little else. Surviving a pregnancy is the biggest problem. Also finding a man to marry. Smaller annoyances was C'thulu emerging from the waves near my island, but I rammed him with a longboat and killed him.
  12. The other interesting thing is that half the pop up window is above the menu I was looking at, half of it is underneath it, as if they coded the screen in two separate halves and the layers are in different order.
  13. At least my norse raiders have Federation transporter technology. Was raiding in western Ireland when I got attacked by a far larger army. My raiders retreated into Scottland, where they were again attacked by a far larger army. My character dueled the enemy commander, beat him but let him live (they are now pen pals). This gave my raiders the opportunity to retreat. So they appeared on Orkney, and apparently laid siege to the village and captured one of the courtiers. All the time my ships where still anchored back in Ireland.
  14. Trying to give Crusader Kings 2 another chance. This seriously is the worst tutorial ever made. I pause the game to read the tooltip and keep getting interrupted with pop up messages. Which then pop up to stop me from reading the previous messages. I think the devs mistook the malware advertisement spam for a great idea to bring information across.
  15. You place flags that tell your heroes to do stuff so they get paid. But it doesn't have the humour and charm. The heroes in majesty talking so much gave them a personality that is lacking in other games.
  16. Talking of Majesty. Been playing just a bit of Driftlands. I like the flying island thing as a gimmick. But like Majesty 2, the game doesn't have the same soul Majesty had. Unlike Majesty 2 though, it is trying to do something new and interesting, so I'll give it a chance and move around floating islands.
  17. Don't bits always come in multiples of 8?
  18. Or alternatively, have you tried playing Majesty instead?
  19. Pretty bright light dead...
  20. Speaking of Soviet Russia, I enjoyed playing Republic: The Revolution. Never finished it, but it was like Gangsters, just with political parties.
  21. I liked how different classes interacted. Rangers backing up Barbarians. Healers following Paladins and Monks around. Cultists of Fervus... doing whatever the mushroom induced hallucinations and 4th wall breaking told them.
  22. Which basically means the three of us will sit down together and make Majesty.
  23. One day I'll make my own game. Then, instead of the player gaining reputation with factions, the factions will gain reputation with the player.
  24. I think I am pretty far along in Outer Worlds. At least it feels that way - all companion quests done, no other side quests available in any of the areas I have visited so far.
