Playersexual characters (for example DA2) always bothered me. Sexuality isn't important to me, but having it player dependent reduces the npcs to ... not sure what to, but something.

Do you have companions in TOW? I hate having those in first person games.

I was waiting for them to address the issue were quite a few people could only run it in win2000 compatibility. All the other issues were just icing on the cake for me. So I never bought it. Months later someone necroed a post of mine with speculations about the expansion and told me I had been right in every point and didn't need to buy it 😛

One of these days they'll make it work without Windows 2000 compatibility mode

Thinking of starting attempt number three to finish Pillars. Should I get the DLC first or, seeing as how I am struggling to even finish the game, just ignore it?

Let's see if they go all the way and take their own servers down, the way Sqeenix did, so people can't use the installer anymore.

Let's hope they don't pull a Square Enix and leave people without their games when they swap over to Steam, then say "No, we won't give you a copy of the game on the new platform, but here is a limited time discount voucher to buy it 20% off". Say what you want about all the evil companies in gaming, but squeenix is the proven thief.

Heresy is a weird word. That you have a strange view of XCOM is a given though. Firaxis are the latest studio to work on the franchise, and what they brought to the table was simplified gameplay and better graphics. We'll see if Phoenix Point is truly fun. But it does try things, while taking some things from Firaxcom that made it more accessible.

I need to send in my soldier name and callsign. The devs said for name to just use my real name obviously. But callsign is a pain.
