Started All Walls Must Fall. First impressions are positive. The combat is funny where you "log" it in the timeline once you are happy and watch the speeded up version. Reminds me of Frozen Synapse there. In the dialogue you have to do some guessing and rewinding. And it is pure guessing "Who send you?" and you give random names a few times to see if one would get a reaction "Bogdan." "Get out of here." rewind "Who send you?" "Evgeny" "****, I hate that guy." rewind "Who send you?" "Mirko." "I don't want any trouble!" walk through door.

Yeah, all the shooting through walls reviews have me wary of the game.

Lucky. Autosave didn't work for me at all on the final mission, so had to replay the whole thing

I found the original game box last week while unpacking stuff in the new apartment

I played BG 1 and enjoyed it for one 80 hour playthrough. My pc at the time couldn't cope with BG 2, so never played it and don't have the patience anymore to try now.

Not much to remember. Vahlen was the science lady who did your research. Old man Shen was your engineering guy who built your toys. Bradford was the same annoying sidekick who talks too much. That's all there is to remember. Anything else didn't happen as humanity lost too fast.

They had fixed it to a large degree in the old game. The new one is really laggy again. The good thing is that you can more easily get the EGO Pursuits for reviving other players, as they'll die to lag and you get a chance to revive them before they notice and thus before they self-rez (I uninstalled)

Tried yet again to play and like Endless Legend. Failed miserably.

Is it much different from how it was before? I played it a bit after launch but I never felt I was making any progress so I eventually dropped it They broke the free skill tree into four dedicated classes. That is basically all they did. The lag is very bad. Unplayably bad. And they didn't fix any bugs. They didn't fix any graphic problems, even though the re-launch was supposed to be due to an overhaul to make the game compatible with modern consoles. So it includes some telltale minor issues such as cosmetic items in the cash shop overwriting your character's hair colour. Yes, it has no gameplay effect, but if you take real cash for cosmetic vanity items, and those then don't work, you took money for a defect product and don't get to say that for 5 years that has not been deemed important enough to fix. It means as a company you aren't trustworthy.

The Defiance re-launch is crap. Stay away.

Phoenix Point has limited ammo, destructible equipment, and body parts with their own hp. As a result it also has loot caches so you can grab whatever you find if a lucky shot has wrecked your machine gun or disabled one arm and you can now only shoot a pistol with your off hand. That's all nice. But if the random map has a lot of loot between yourself and the opponents, it makes you wonder if the Firaxis Mission Timer might not be a good idea. Last mission I looted 6 caches before moving on after the initial firefight.
