  1. Not perhaps Expansion but stuff that could be improved on and that an expansion could benefit from too: - A toggleable Stash: Like, a "Turn OFF" button, completely. Grey it out. Put an "X" on top of it. This is not a new suggestion/input, from me. I've said it for a very long time. It doesn't work. No way am I going to go back and forth with that feeling of a "sense of urgency" that exists already, and the loading screens gets tiresome (also the in-game time it takes to walk back and forth). Dropped loot could disappear after a while too. Tons of solutions, but the Unlimited Stash feels like a "Cheat code". You don't need a console cheat command for gold, because by Act 2 you're going to have all the gold in the world! - Better balancing: Up to Level 8 I thought combat was fun, intruiging, varied, and I used different tactics, abilities, spells, against different enemies and I had to fight a bit against the encounters, and I had several "epic" moments (I Grimoire Slammed an enemy into a Chanter pushback shout :D). After Level 8 it became rinse-repeat. It might've been just me finding a golden combo at that point, and then it became just... easy. I didn't have to use any Scrolls or Potions, and my party was hardly min-maxed or optimally built. I hardly even used any Enchanting and I think I had some 100 of most ingredients in my Stash (and of every type of weapon, armor, shield, etc.). - Better General Store+Resting @Stronghold: Outside Brighthollow or Main Keep that deals with: 1) Adventurers (Where the hell do I hire adventurers in the Stronghold? I ran through the entire thing and couldn't find anybody. I had the right building too) 2) General Goods 3) Rest (Because now it is. "Go inside. Load screen. Up the stairs. Load screen. Go to bed. Load screen. Down the stairs. Load screen. Outside. Loadscreen). If you add the General Store Merchant to that as well, it'd be 2 extra pointless load screens. Takes unnecessary time. I spend 10-15 seconds resting+shopping (I only need to buy camp supplies 9 out of 9 times), 40-50 seconds waiting for the game to load (Yep, one loading screen takes about 13-15 seconds for me. I have a sub-par laptop though*). - Better Rest/Camping Innovate, or return to Olden days. Honestly, I really like the limited Rest mechanic on Hard (having only 2/2 makes planning so much more important, and being down at 0/2 and all your guys are down at red can get a bit intense, and then by a stroke of "luck" you find 1 camp supply and you can press on a little bit further yet. But if your'e not like me and give in to weakness, you're going to be running back and forth a lot), but still, maybe there's something more to it that could be done, I don't know. It should be investigated more, I think, because it adds a lot of flavor (at least on Hard). The usual Expansion stuff: - More areas/plot/quest - More spells/abilities/levels - More companion (Narrative, relations, banters, or maybe even introduction of new companions) - More technical stability (I'll look into bug reporting & taking notes on my second playthrough, wanted to stay focused on the narrative and gameplay experience on my first run). I've got tons more thoughts on this, but saving it for later. * Game doesn't lag unless I do like 6 heavy VFX spells on the screen while the enemy does 6 heavy VFX spells at the same time (exaggerated~)
  2. EDIT: Nevermind. I've been gone from the internet, I need to do some catching up. Sorry for adding posts to this thread, dropping it now.
  3. Look look! Whoever is offended by the material of Firedorn Lightbringer. Fix it yourself.
  4. Because Obsidian is facing serius trolling group ^That's my feeling too. And my analysis is simple: This person got triggered and offended by the Memorials, of all things. Consider this, if you've played the game and read any of the memorials. There are a TON OF THEM. You're going to have to scroll through list upon list upon list if you're going to even find this one Memorial gravestone (as far as I can tell, they don't have the same ones). And given this entire outrage about the whole ordeal, it is almost as if this person was looking for something to get triggered by. I can almost see it in front of me. Searching through the Memorials, one by one, and then exclamating "HALLELUJAH! I found something I can USE! Mwaha! Taste my outburst of social media rage!!!". EDIT: Although, I have to be honest when we're talking about the subject of the Memorials anyways, and that's the ones that don't fit into the world of Eora. "gamebanshee.com" for instance (No ill intended to Gamebanshee), these types of Memorials, in my opinion, don't do the game or the world of Eora any justice whatsoever. They don't fit into the narrative. My suggestions (one or the other or a combination of them): 1) Re-write them. I.E. "Gameru Banshen", and keep the sentiment of the description text, but change it to become thematic. IIRC, this specific one was thanking Obsidian and Kickstarter~ use that and make it make sense in Eora. "Gameru Banshen thanked the rock he had found, of pure obsidian. He thanked it so much that his fellow villagers started to kick him. And that was that". See what I'm saying? 2) Re-arrange them. Toss the ones that break the world of Eora (such as gamebanshee.com) into one single Memorial, but keep the rest. There are more of them that are written in a way that makes no sense on a gravestone, or are written about a person who lives today in the modern world. Lots of them are not past-tense. 3) Change the name from "Memorial" to "Backer Tributes" because that's what they are. 4) Don't remove them ffs! That's the last thing to even consider, it's the lowest priority, even if a troll group comes after you Obsidian. People paid to have them in the game, and you promised this to them. Here comes a person who tells you that YOUR promise to someone else should cater to her. Hypocritical of me to say that, seeing that I've written out 3 points about why I don't like them and how I think they should be fixed, but there it is. But I'm not calling for them to be removed, I'm calling for them to be changed (Those that don't fit. EMPHASIS: "Firedorn Lightbringer" FITS. "Gamebanshee.com" DOES NOT). EDIT EDIT: 5) A toggle would be a good idea as well (saw others suggest it too) and might be the simplest solution (rather than spend tons of hours to re-write them, which, I might take look at because I want some of those Memorials to be different, and fit into the world better). 6) In light of #5: Instruct this person that has so much attention on her at the moment, show her where the files are, where the text is. Let her go at it and let her fix what she thinks is bad about the Memorials. She can remove it altogether, then she can publish it as a mod and then she can market it and publish it to people in her circle that she thinks would enjoy her mod most.
  5. Pushing on, of course. Level 8 and a half, 30-ish hours. Hopping in now. Cya again
  6. Out of everything to be offended by in this amazing game and story (which Obsidian has had their free hands to go at). Don't want to say more than that, still working on actually finishing the game (About 30 hours in, just got to the Dyrford :D deja vu and Backer Beta nostalgia on top of all the Infinity Engine nostalgia lol).
  7. Vir o haliti hi ver

  8. I forgot about Something Awful too! And now I can't edit! But they go in there with the communities as well. I am enjoying myself a ton! LOTS of lovely reading ;D
  9. ... say thank you, to all of you Josh Sawyer. Adam Brennecke. Brandon Adler. Rose Gomez. Tim Cain. Bobby Null. Jorge Salgado. Steve Weatherly. Roby Atedero. Brian Macintosh. Robert Nesler. Polina Hristova. Kazunori Aruga. Hector Espinoza. Sean Dunny. Dimitri Berman. James Chea. Eric Fenstermaker. Chris Avellone. Carrie Patel. Matt McLean. George Ziets. Justin Bells. Nick Carver. Feargus Urquhart. Darren Monahan. Matt Sheets. Mikey Dowling. Obsidian Entertainment, Paradox Interactive, Johan Andersson, David Martinez, and many more. Kickstarter, the invention of crowdfunding, and the communities (As far as I know, RPG Codex, NeoGAF, Reddit, Badgame and, of course, Obsidian Forums). It's been awesome. It IS awesome :D Good Game Well Played Good Job EDIT: *poof* I shall return, after I've delved further :D
  10. Anyone doing or prepping a Twitch stream for the final countdown? "10, 9, 7" etc. xD
  11. Congratulations Obsidian on raving reviews from the critics I am a bit dumb-founded by Metacritic allowing User Score before the game is released (I find it great that almost all of the User Scores are positive, of course, but What are they rating?). Though, that's on Metacritic, not on Obsidian... just venting~
  12. I will do my best :D naming conventions will also get easier and easier to remember and correctly phrase with time, I think.
  13. Upgrade to Champion or Royal Edition maybe? It's for Obsidian to decide what they can cook up, I suppose. I personally wouldn't mind if there was a tribute character, event or NPC or whatnot in the game paying tribute to you or anyone else from the community in the game, Gromnir. "Immersion" breaking, HAH, only if it'd be poorly implemented. Ya'll rock hot socks!
  14. I tried to write a reply to the title question "How excited?" but the comment box started lagging because of the size of the content in the comment. I think that speaks for itself
  15. I checked my Steam after I saw this thread, and it lagged a bit and I was disconnected and then re-connected. Traffic jams+rush hour?
