I've decided to get a new modem and router. They both still function relatively well, I only have to reboot one of them once a month on average, but my Motorola SB6121 modem is quite outdated and my Linksys WRT54G router is positively ANCIENT. Seriously, I think the Byzantine Empire was still around when that router was made. I went with the Arris SB8200 modem and Archer AX55 router. That future proofs me up to Gigabit internet, though I doubt I'll get internet quite that fast when I get faster internet in the very near future (read: right after I receive the new modem and router).

In a horror movie or game when the army rolls in there's a 99.5% chance that they are bankrolled by <name of evil corporation> and are there to cover up <experiment gone horribly wrong> by killing everything and everyone.

First very brief look at high-end Sapphire RDNA3 cards: Vapor chamber, three 8-pin connectors, and a 20 phase VRM will likely mean substantially higher clocks. The rumor is that RDNA3 is capable of hitting 3000 MHz clocks on air cooling. If that's true then AMD left quite a bit of overclocking headroom for partner cards. Of course, said partner cards will undoubtedly also feature a significantly higher price tag.

Any tips for making money fast? I want to buy a sweet AF motorcycle, but it's like 60K eddies. The fastest way I've found so far is assaults for NCPD. Between the 920 for getting the evidence and selling off the loot off the corpses it's 2K+ eddies a pop, but that will still take a really long time to get the 35K eddies or so I still need.

Most likely that's exactly what's going to happen. I guess my only hope is Lewandowski pulling some magic out of his ass.

Bad move by the protagonist. If you have a gun with only 1 bullet in a horror scenario, you save the 1 bullet to off yourself when you're about to get eaten by monsters.

I'm really glad I waited to jump in. Instead of living through the $#!+storm that was Cyberpunk's less than stellar launch, I got to watch it from afar and enjoy the schadenfreude and chaos. I jumped in after the 1.61 update and I have to say that the game is quite fun. I'm already planning out some things I'm going to do differently on a second playthrough. For one, I think I'll go heavy into strength and get gorilla arms and just run up to people and punch them. Exploding heads with my sniper rifle is pretty great, though. I'll probably also make my second character male so that I can hook up with Panam. As an aside, I thoroughly enjoy the driving physics in the game. For a non-racing game, I think the driving is really well done. It's way better than Watch_Dogs and Saints Row and at least as good as GTA driving. I particularly like motorcycles. I keep it in 1st person view when on a bike and powerslide around corners. Good times! I very rarely use fast travel to get around, which is a hallmark of a game with fun traversal mechanics. The game does feel too easy on standard difficulty, I'll probably go up a notch on my second playthrough.

Those are too far into The Asylum territory for my taste. -

I don't know about risers, but I believe that there are adapters that will allow you to mount the GPU turned different ways. The problem is that GPUs are so gargantuan these days that they're going to cover up otherwise usable space no matter which way you turn them.

I got transitions lenses too and it's close enough to completely clear that I don't notice the difference unless I'm specifically looking for it. My only complaint is that it takes a good 45 seconds for the lenses to go from tinted to clear when you walk inside from being outside on a sunny day. Still, it's a small price to pay for having built-in auto-sunglasses. I love transitions lenses overall.

I'm rooting for Poland.

If you were tanking you'd still be starting Zach Wilson.

Yesterday my sister and her fiancé hosted a Friendsgiving. They cooked the turkey and everybody else brought a side or dessert (I brought green bean casserole). The food was delicious, the beer was cold and I think I gained about 20 lbs. Today I finished my X-Mas shopping with some Cyber Monday deals, I also scooped up some Samsonite luggage on the cheap for myself. It feels good to have the holiday shopping burden lifted, now I can relax and look forward to X-Mas on the beach.

@BartimaeusIf you're the Packers you start Jordan Love the rest of the season, right? I mean, I guess I can't mathematically eliminate the Packers yet, but let's be real, y'all ain't making the playoffs. Side-note: The NFC East is a collective 32-13 The NFC South doesn't have a single team with a winning record.

I've been asking this question for half a decade, why don't muh Boys run the option more? I'm not saying run it all the time, I'm saying like 3 times a game, rather than the 3 times a season that we run it now. It's very effective nearly every time we run it. Dak is so well suited to run the option. He doesn't run a lot, when he scrambles he's almost always looking to throw it, rather than take off running. However, when he does run, he's quite effective, so you have to honor him potentially keeping the ball on the option. Plus, he's a big guy and can give the runner (probably Pollard) a halfway decent block just by putting his body in the defender's way.

I picked up the GuliKit King Kong 2 Pro controller: It's absolutely better than the Switch Pro Controller and LIGHTYEARS better than joycons. The main selling point is that the thumbsticks use the Hall Effect for positioning, rather than the potentiometers of traditional analog thumbsticks. The problem with traditional analog thumbsticks is that they use parts that physically roll against each other to measure distance from neutral. No matter how well built these parts are, eventually they will wear and that's when you get drift. It's inevitable. In Hall Effect thumbsticks, on the other hand, the parts that measure distance from neutral never touch, hence they should theoretically never drift*. They use electromagnets for the measurement. ****ING MAGNETS, HOW DO THEY WORK? The GuliKit King Kong 2 Pro is primarily made for Switch, but it also works on PC, iOS, and Android. Best of all, it's not expensive, it's roughly the same price as a regular first party controller for <insert name of current gen console>. Curiously, it doesn't currently work on Xbox out of the box, despite it being essentially a carbon copy of a Xbox controller. Top: King Kong 2 Pro Bottom: XXxBOxXx Controller. I believe that it's possible to get the King Kong 2 Pro to work on xXxBOxXx with a 3rd party USB dongle and GuliKit has said that Xbox support is eventually coming, probably with their own dongle, though just a firmware update would be ideal, if that's feasible. The build quality seems solid, it feels lighter than a xXxBOxXx Controller, but only slightly so; it doesn't feel like it's flimsy and mostly empty, like some cheap 3rd party controllers. It's not perfect, though, so let's tackle the negatives first. The knurling on the bottom of the grips is not as good as on the xXxBOxXx Controller. The pattern is identical, but the bumps aren't raised as high, so it feels a bit slippery in my hand. The D-Pad isn't as crisp and clicky as on the xXxBOxXx Controller. It's perfectly usable, but it has a longer travel distance and lacks that satisfying click sound. The springs on the triggers are weaker than on the xXxBOxXx Controller. Again, perfectly functional, but I prefer the stiffer resistance of the xXxBOxXx Controller triggers. Now for the positives. The bumpers are fantastic. They're super crisp and make a satisfying click sound when pressed. The thumbsticks feel terrific. They are slightly taller than on the xXxBOxXx Controller and they feel great moving around. The face buttons feel really nice. It seems like they wobble slightly less than on the xXxBOxXx Controller. The King Kong 2 Pro is very adjustable. You can change the strength of rumble, the sensitivity of the gyroscope and other things. So far I'm super happy with the King Kong 2 Pro. This is now my primary Switch and PC controller and will eventually become my primary xXxBOxXx Controller. Time will tell how durable it is and if the promise of no drift ever* holds up. * Eventually even electromagnetic parts will wear out, but that should be waaaay beyond the scope of a human lifetime

I'm still fairly new to Japanese whisky, this is the 3rd kind I've tried. I'd place it in the middle, above the Suntory Toki, but below the Nikka Whisky From the Barrel. It's slightly sweet and very smooth with not that much burn. It lacks character a bit, I'm not picking up any notes of fruit or nuts, maybe just the slightest hint of honey, but it is very easy drinking. It's not a whisky that's going to leave a lasting impression on me, but it's something I could drink on any occasion and be perfectly happy sipping on it.

Come on now, you know better than that. Muh Boys are good for AT LEAST 2 stupid losses a season. Our week 1 loss to Tampa doesn't count since it was week 1. Week 1 is chaos, nothing makes sense since teams are still sort of in preseason form.
-
Our superior talent took over in the 2nd half once we cleaned up the turnovers (still too many penalties). Also, who says white men can't jump? We're at 8-3 and sitting pretty. We have 3 games in a row against teams that have no business beating us. We'll probably have a stupid loss in there somewhere, that's what undisciplined teams do, but we only need 2 wins to get in.
-
So, of course muh Boys follow up their best game of the season with the worst half of football they've played all year. 3 turnovers, 2 interceptions and a turnover on downs, and several horrendous penalties that extended Giants drives and wiped away an interception. We're a very talented team that won't stop shooting itself in the foot playing a modestly talented team that doesn't make mistakes. Honestly, we're lucky to only be down 6 at half. Why can't we ever have a halfway decent coach that will instill discipline in the players?

Happy Thanksgiving to all our Murican forumites and anyone else who celebrates it.

It was mainly a console-centric update. It introduced FSR 2.1 on consoles, allowing for greater visual fidelity while hitting the 30 FPS target for ray tracing mode and 60 FPS for performance mode on PS5 and xXxBOxXx.

With the 1.61 patch out, I finally decided to jump in. The game STILL has some minor graphical bugs, are we absolutely sure this wasn't made by Bethesda? Beyond that, I'm really enjoying it so far. I went corpo, which helped immensely with The Heist and I'm stealthing as much of the game as possible, as I am wont to do. I racked up some good ninjutsu points during the escape as I used stealth takedown on everybody with the help of some save scumming. I'm going mainly cool and reflexes so far. Side note: Props to CDPR for having a wardrobe function so that you can change your outfit independent of gear stats. They absolutely didn't have to do that in a 1st person game, but they did. That should be in every single 3rd person game ever.
