Yeah, it's a 12-speed automatic. Peterbilts have good engines, I'm not a fan of everything else. Kenworths are just worse Peterbilts. Volvos are great, I don't care what anyone says. I'm pretty sure Mack is owned by Volvo, so they share some DNA.

I got put in a new truck today, a 2022 Mack Anthem. The 2019 Freightliner Cascadia I had previously was fine, but this truck is a definite upgrade. I'd still take a Volvo as my top choice, but a Mack is a dang nice consolation prize.

The NFC South is the saddest division. The Bucs lost again, fell to 6 - 8 AND YET they still lead the division. It's entirely possible that a 7 - 10 team is going to be hosting a playoff game come January. That's just wrong. The only thing muh Boys have left to play for in the regular season is the right to play whatever dog$#!+ pee wee football team emerges from the NFC South. The most depressing part is that we'll lose that game, because the Cowboys always lose in the playoffs.

Damn, the situation abroad is rough. Here in Murica you can get a 7900 XT or a RTX 4080 at retail price easily if you have the slightest bit of patience. When those cards drop at retail they stay in stock for quite a while, giving you ample time to buy one, if you so choose. The 7900 XTX and RTX 4090 disappear quickly, on the other hand.

I played Encased a good while back and I remember enjoying it, then I stopped playing it for some reason I can't recall and never got back to it. I should remedy that eventually.

Well, I said muh Boys would have a stupid loss in this stretch of easy games, and here it is. I'm not bothered because it was inevitable. At least it happened after we already secured a playoff spot. Wins and losses don't matter that much for the rest of the regular season. What matters is that Dak needs to figure out how to stop throwing interceptions.

Huh. Well, I guess it makes sense that Epic themselves would be the first ones to get a game out into the wild with their extra shiny new engine. Despite it being f2p, I'm not about to try it out because I'm afraid that if I play it for any length of time my hair (what's left of it) would turn blue and I would start adding pre-roll ads for Raid Shadow Legends to my posts. I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer to see what all the fuss was about.

I'm waiting for these fabled Unreal Engine 5 games to some day release. I remember the big reveal like 3 years ago and people losing their $#!+ about Unreal Engine 5. Oh my God, it's so unreal and it's like the 5th engine or whatever. Look at these graphics, they're so graphics, I've never seen graphics that were so graphics. We got that Matrix tech demo, which was cool and all, but it was just a tech demo. Anyway, fast forward to today and... I realize games take time to make, but we are going to get some of these UE5 games that will blow our minds eventually, right?

New best 25 yard grouping: A sub-7" 15 shot grouping at 25 yards is pretty good for firing a pistol with no stock, brace, or anything else to help steady aim. This is the level of accuracy that has been my goal to achieve, it's good practical accuracy for a pistol. Now, the goal is to get to the point where I get groupings like this consistently.

Remember playing a game and a prompt would come up: Aah, those were the days.

I like The Northman well enough, not nearly as much as The Lighthouse or The VVitch, but still a quality picture. Besides, who doesn't want to see vikings shouting at each other?
