  1. I can't speak for English blood sausage, but I LOVE kaszanka (Polish/German blood sausage).
  2. I finished the second investigation. I was really torn up over the decision on who to accuse. Then...
  3. Are you a disenfranchised Dead Space fan? Do you miss cutting off limbs? Are you looking for a spooky atmospheric game filled with tension that's IN SPAAAAAACE? Striking Distance has you covered.
  4. I think the NFC wildcard teams will be Boys, Giants, C-Hox/Niners (whichever one doesn't win the division).
  5. At least this year Rodgers went Kali Ma Shakti De on us in the regular season rather than the playoffs. I guess I can't completely count the Packers out of making the playoffs yet. It would be just like Rodgers to somehow sneak into the playoffs and turn into MVP Rodgers one last time to rip our hearts out in the playoffs yet again.
  6. Is that similar to a pâté or is it more solid than that?
  7. Agreed. Pentiment is exactly the type of game I was hoping for from Microsoft's acquisition spree. Ironically, I think Pentiment looks better than a fair number of AAA games with 20X the budget. Obsidian took the Nintendo approach of looking great via strong and consistent aesthetic, rather than just more shiny.
  8. Muh Boys are 7-3 and I'm feeling good about our playoff chances. The way I see it, 10-7 will get you into the playoffs in the NFC, so muh Boys need to go 3-4 or better the rest of the way. 9-8 could conceivably get you in, but I'd be feeling really nervous if my team picked up their 8th loss. Our schedule the rest of the way: Giants on Turkey Day Colts Texans @Jaguars Eagles @Titans @Commanders
  9. @BokishiRTX On?
  10. That was quite possibly the best half of football muh Boys have played all season. Quiz Time! How will the Cowboys blow a 20 point halftime lead? A) Interceptions B) Fumbles C) Prevent Defense D) Mike McCarthy E) Mystery Potluck Option Edit: Absolutely bush league ***hole move by the zebras. CeeDee Lamb makes a fantastic catch on the sideline to set up a 60 yard FG to end the half. The zebras have all the time in the world to look at it and stop play to review it, muh Boys even take a timeout to give them more time. Brett Maher hits the 60 yarder except it turns out the zebras blew the play dead to review the previous play at the last instant before the snap, effectively icing the kicker and taking 3 points off the board. Thankfully, Brett Maher is such a GIGACHAD that he just hit the 60 yarder again. Edit 2: Tony Mother****ing Pollard! Edit 3: Okay, muh Boys are up 34, even they can't blow a lead this big in a quarter and a half. I'd take the starters out of the game at this point, let the 2nd stringers get the snaps for the rest of the game.
  11. The upside to the GPU is that you can hide it inside your case where no one has to see it. The case, on the other hand, is always on display for everyone to see your shame.
  12. In Polish gasoline is benzyna. Diesel is diesel.
  13. Fuel is the catch-all term. Gas, short for gasoline, is different than diesel. Alternatively, gas, the state of matter that occurs when you raise a liquid to a high enough temperature, is also different than diesel. Anyway, I was just being pedantic. /checks "pedantic" off vocab checklist
  14. The Gas DLC doesn't work with my rig, I need the Diesel DLC.
  15. I have the most advanced rig for American Truck Simulator ever. The force feedback is amazing.
  16. Oatmeal is geat, but I prefer rolled oats to instant oats. It takes slightly longer to cook rolled oats, but I like the texture much better. I usually just add butter, salt, and pepper, I don't generally go the sweet route.
  17. Yeah, I'm still thinking about the first investigation. I'm deep into the second investigation and... It's complicated. I got into a crazy adventure involving an ancient cistern and learned some very interesting things. I love that the game doesn't hold your hand and doesn't spell out for you what you did wrong or right. That's life, you don't always know if you made the right decision. Pentiment reminds me a bit of Paradise Killer in how it doesn't hold your hand, it's up to you to decide what's a real lead and what's a red herring, and you can potentially condemn innocents at the end. I'll take that over most "investigation" games where it's find all the things and then maybe you have a mind map mechanic where you have to connect things, but there's no penalty for making wrong choices, you can just keep trying until the game says "you did it, good job".
  18. I'm conducting my second investigation and applying what I learned in the first one.
  19. I have encountered a bug during the dinner scene with the Abbott. When greeted by the Abbott I chose the cordial response. Then the Abbott said a prayer and the scene shifted to show the food on the table. When asked about what I had done since leaving Tassing I told him that I worked in Poland. The abbott expressed displeasure about protestant uprisings and I talked about a great artist working at the king's court. The abbott said it was no excuse for the violence and I remained silent. At this point I asked the abbott why he really asked me to dinner and this is where the game breaks. Instead of more dialogue, it's just the table with the food, no dialogue bubbles. If I move the thumbstick I can hear footsteps, as if I was back on the Abbott's House screen. Pushing face buttons does nothing. I exited out to main menu and reloaded the last save and tried again with the same dialogue choices. Same problem. I then reloaded again and was able to get past the bug by chosing different dialogue options. This is on Xbox Series X.
  20. It's too bad because the RTX 4XXX cards seem like good GPUs, the performance uplift over 3XXX is impressive. However the melting connector issue, granted it's affecting a very small percentage of users, and the astronomical prices leave a bad taste in my mouth. Also, I'm not going to feel bad for Jensen & Co., they're not exactly struggling to put food on their tables.
  21. I don't mind card battle mechanics, for me the bigger turn off is the Marvel license. Superhero themed isn't a hard pass for me, but I'm so burned out on superheroes, and Marvel in particular, that it's a negative for me, and that goes for movies, shows, and vidya games. I used to get excited for superhero media because I grew up on comic books. If movie studios and game developers could just give it a rest for 5 or 6 years and let it breathe I'd likely be back into superheroes, but they're going to milk that cow so ****ing hard until it drops dead. Anyway, the Marvel license isn't going to prevent me from giving a game a try, but it's going to have to be a really hood game.
  22. I'm playing my character as the mischievous kind. He's very talented and smart, but he doesn't apply himself. Things have always come easy to him and rather than maximize his own potential, he'd rather go out and get drunk, womanize, break into places he shouldn't be and look at things considered taboo. He's curious and bright, but he has a poor work ethic. This fits in perfectly with Andreas having dropped out of university. Edit: Finished Act I.
  23. I got into all sorts of deliciously scandalous tomfoolery. Things are going shockingly well for me so far, but I've been on the edge of disaster several times.
