  1. I'm over the whole voice acting kerfuffle. I wish Helena Taylor and Jennifer Hale luck in their future endeavors (endeavours for our British forumites) and I'm going to be playing Bayonetta 3 on Friday, assuming my copy gets delivered on time.
  2. From the legend himself: By "film festivals", I'm assuming Neil means Cannes, Sundance, Venice, etc. Once Neil creates a 1998-looking website for the new movie I will be ordering a copy, presumably on a DVD-R in a jewel case, immediately. Review incoming shortly thereafter.
  3. I have EARTH-SHATTERING news. I don't want anyone getting hurt, so you may want to sit down before continuing to read. Visionary film genius Neil Breen has completed his 6th professional feature film. It may be jumping the gun to call this his latest masterpiece, but come on, when has Breen ever not delivered?
  4. Yeah, the NFC East is a murderer's row right now, but the rest of the NFC looks rather weak. The Vikings are 5-1, but it's a rather suspect 5-1.
  5. How much of a step down is Brett Rypien from the moth-eaten corpse of Russell Wilson, anyway? @BartimaeusOn a scale of 1 to Aaron Rodgers makes an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, what is the level of panic in Cheese Curd Country?
  6. Dak was back this week. He looked good at times and rusty other times, which is to be expected, I guess, given he hasn't played in a month and a half. The game was uncomfortably close, though you wouldn't know it from the final score. Heck, the Lions led for most of the game, then muh Boys got their $#!+ together and scored a TD to go up. Once the Lions got behind Jared Goff did Jared Goff things and, well, you can see the final score (24-6). Not the most convincing win ever, but I'll take it. I'm pretty happy with 5-2.
  7. Pfft. If Peter Jackson's movies are anything to go by, you have like 4 more endings to go.
  8. I'm still waiting for RLM to make Mike Stoklasa's horror movie.
  9. Stay safe @Gorth I took my AR-10 to the range to break in the barrel. I still don't have my scope (it's backordered), but I do have a red dot on a 45⁰ offset mount. If you want to mount both a scope and a red dot, which is a good idea if it's a high magnification scope that's ill suited to short range firing, such as the 4-16X44 scope that's going on my rifle, there are 2 main options: 1) Mount the red dot on top of the scope 2) Mount the red dot 45⁰ offset. I went with option 2. I also have a bipod and a flashlight mounted. All I need now is my scope and some sling mounts. I'll post a picture once the rifle is in its full tacticool glory. Anyway, breaking in the barrel may have been unnecessary as I barely saw any copper on the cleaning patches after the first 2 shots and zero copper after shot 3. I probably could have stopped right there and just started shooting normally, but I went through with the full break in routine. It can't hurt, even if it was likely a waste of time. I also dialed in the red dot while I was at it. I fired the first 15 from the bipod and shoulder fired the last 5. I'm glad I went with a 20" barrel as opposed to 18". It makes the rifle heavier, but it also makes it more front heavy, which is a good thing as the recoil goes mostly straight into my shoulder, rather than having the barrel climb. I'm also glad I splurged for the 2 stage trigger. The trigger on the rifle is awesome, it's super crisp and takes barely any pressure to pull. It's an absolute dream after squeezing a Glock trigger (even if I did improve it a bit) for the last few months.
  10. Part of me wants to argue that sick burn, but as someone who drives Murican roads for a living, I have no retort.
  11. That will obviously be on a game by game basis, but for the most part, yes. Not only that, but I suspect that much like with the 7950X, which has only a little less absurd a power draw when going full bore, you could probably undervolt the 13900K and/or set a lower power limit and get 95% of the gaming performance at half the power draw, probably closer to 99% if you're running at 4K.
  12. I found Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator to be "cozy" games. I only stopped playing them because I now do that for a living, but they were super chill games.
  13. Intel with the brute force approach. Great gaming benchmarks via absurd power draw.
  14. Yeah... Yeah... *awkward laugh* That's, that's also how I know about Sasha Grey. I definitely had not seen any videos with her before she was just brought up. No siree Bob.
  15. So many questions. Why would a ghost need camping supplies? Also, how is an incorporeal ghost wearing a hat and a backpack? Is that a ghost backpack?
  16. I always played male Shepard on my first playthrough and did FemShep for my second... For the first two games, I never replayed ME3 because, Jesus Christ, why would I do that to myself? Once was painful enough.
  17. Her oral skills are exceptional, I'm sure she negotiated a good deal.
  18. Not for me, I already had no sympathy for her. The moment she threw Jennifer Hale under the bus that went out the window; not because it was Jennifer Hale in particular, any fellow voice actor would be the same.
  19. The bloom is off the Cooper Rush rose. As I've written before, he's a fine game manager, but he's not someone who can heroically lead you back from a big deficit. Even when muh Boys were making their comeback in the second half, it was on the strength of the run game, not on Cooper's arm.
  20. I don't know if it's feasible for a video game voice actor to make a good living without a second job, unless they're Nolan North, Troy Baker, Jennifer Hale, or Tara Strong. Whether that's right or wrong is up to you, but the reality of the business is the reality of the business. A company makes you an offer for a contract, you either accept or refuse the contract, and then if you refuse they find someone else. That's the reality in most industries. Going out and putting out a bleeding heart interview in IGN will get you some attention and mobilize the social media outrage squad... For about a week. Likely approximately 0.1% of said outrage squad will actually do anything to benefit you financially then they will all move on to the next outrage topic du jour and that will be that.
