With Troll 2 I win every time.

It's been decades since I saw Singing in the Rain and I don't remember a damn thing about it, other than, well, the singing in the rain. I rematched Troll 2. It absolutely holds up and lives up to its legendary status. So many memorable scenes with bizarre dialogue clearly written by someone for whom English is not their first language. My favorite thing about the movie is the performance of Deborah Reed as... I don't know if she's supposed to be a witch or the goblin queen or what. Any time she's on the screen it's magic. To say that she's overacting would be the understatement of the century. It may be my favorite acting performance ever. It's MAGNIFICENT!

English schadenfreude is delicious but it's soured a bit by the terrible feeling that the French are going to win the cup again.

Agreed. I remember playing my Necromancer and thinking D2 is okay but it's missing something. If only I could fork over some of my hard earned money to put a Santa hat on my Necromancer.

Yes, but not appreciably so. It would help tremendously with an iGPU but with a discrete GPU you are going to get very little bang for your buck.

Good day at the range today. I had this 15 shot grouping at 25 yards that I'm quite happy with: 1 nasty outlier low but the other 14 shots are quite solid for 25 yards.

It's almost as if the goal of a company is to make as much money as possible by any means that won't raise the ire of <name of pertinent governing body>.

I was hoping that Rogue Trader would be a game about trading rogues.

Now I want to play Arcanum again. Last time I did, I remember that it had major issues running on a modern OS. I did get it working enough to play it eventually, but it was a major PITA. That's one game that desperately needs a remaster. Not even to spiffy up the graphics or anything, just make it run on modern OSs without having to jump through 14 hoops of fire and add support for modern resolutions. Conversely, they could follow the trend of adding ray tracing to old games so that you will need a RTX 4090 to run it at 25 FPS at 1080p.

Wait, was that really Activision? Well, they did buy my beloved Sierra On-Line, so I guess so. I miss Sierra On-Line, and Troika, for that matter.

Of course Microsoft is planning to make Activision/Blizzard titles exclusive to their ecosystem, they'd be stupid not to. I hate exclusives, I wish every game was available on every platform. However, exclusives sell systems, that's just how it is. Sony knows that better than anyone, that's how they've beaten Microsoft 3 straight generations and counting. I don't personally care one bit whether this sale goes through or not. I haven't cared about a Blizzard game since Diablo 2 and I haven't cared about an Activision game since... ... ... /scratches head ... Interstate '76(?) I mean, I know CoD is a big deal, but I don't play CoD, nor do I have any plans on starting, so whatever.

Yeah. Muh Boys are fine at wide receiver. CeeDee Lamb is an alien, Michael Gallup is a solid #2, and Noah Brown isn't exactly chopped liver either. Would I like to see a fully healthy OBJ on the Cowboys? Of course, but at what cost?
