  1. Sure, but nowhere near as good as the original free Windows version (you can't get much more indie than that,) since they sadly had to casualize it for Wii audiences. Lost a lot of charm and all the mystery in the process (tell you the story in the intro that you couldn't piece together until near the end of the original game.) I really wish someone would fix the original game to work properly on versions of Windows newer than XP. Right, but it's the only version I can play right now. I was never able to finish the original (refuse to use a guide), maybe I'll actually be able to beat the nerfed version.
  2. Maxed out my Acolyte of Kelemvor companion. She's now a full fledged Doomguide
  3. Well, whatever it cost them, it's clearly worth it, as the hype machine is in full effect, to the tune of a billion+ in revenue.
  4. Serious case of gamer ADD right now. Splitting time between Might & Magic X, Card Hunter, Grim Dawn, La Mulana, and Neverwinter. I'll likely focus mostly on La Mulana, because that game is hard enough with undivided attention, I don't need to make it harder by splitting my focus.
  5. La Mulana 2 is being developed by Nigoro. Squee!
  6. I'm in favor of any title that ends in "An Urquhart Joint". Also, I like that the head of a pollaxe is at the bottom of that page, not to mention, what looks like a nuclear explosion.
  7. I always thought hacking was rather easy... /hides
  8. Rush ~ Natural Science http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7W0Nm8iHwk To this day, I think Permanent Waves is Rush's best album, just ahead of A Farewell To Kings, Moving Pictures, and Hemispheres. Here's another track off that album, Jacob's Ladder: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xnkwhHOjv-4
  9. Moving around the map is never lengthy once you get super speed, which is to say, right at the beginning of the game. Some people dislike superpowers in that it makes vehicles obsolete. I like it in that it makes any part of Cyber Steelport accessible within 20 seconds or so.
  10. Enjoy. It's a great game. Which reminds me. I need to do my pure d-bag Michael Thorton playthrough eventually.
  11. Ouch. $25 entry point to get the game, that's not going to help them get backers.
  12. Better than 98% of AAA games:

As an aside, if Left 4 Dead 3 doesn't wind up being called Left 3 Dead, I'll be very disappointed.
  14. And now, here's the chinchilla dustbath gif you didn't know you wanted:

I fully expect this. I expect it to be a SteamBox exclusive for, I'm guessing, 6 months. If you're going to launch a console-like-thingy, you need an exclusive killer title to sell it. It doesn't get much more killer than Half-Life 3.
  16. Wow, I've seen some thread necromancy in my day, but 9 1/2 years takes the cake. /pats Sargallath on the back Project Eternity is what brought me here. I stayed because the community is mostly non-a-holes, which is nice.

La Mulana is 80% off on Steam. Looks like I'm in for some punishment this weekend.
  18. I used a 360 pad for everything except shooting. As soon as a firefight would break out (which didn't happen very often), I would drop the controller and use m&kb. The nice thing is that the game would recognize the switch and even change on-screen prompts accordingly.
  19. Yep. It's a browser game so there's nothing to buy (up front) and nothing to download. It even runs fine on my ancient Pentium 4 at work.
  20. Sorta kinda There are these checkpoint-ish spots called "bonfires" that give you 5 healing items, heal you, and respawn all the enemies whenever you rest at them. If you want to increase the amount of healing items they'll give upon resting, you need to turn into your human form. Same thing when you want some co-op help "What does human form do?" It makes you vulnerable to invasions, which is forced kind of PvP. The only way to end an invasion is either killing the enemy, die, or go through a boss door. So in order to make the game easier through healing items or proper help, you must also make it riskier. You can make it so that you only spend around 0-5% of your time in human form, or play offline if you really dislike PvP. You'll however lose the JOLLY CO-OPERATION though As long as it's not one of those deals where pvp can happen any time and you have high level d-bags camping people in low level areas and just killing them over and over again, I'm fine with that. Also, if someone goes into "human form" do you have to invade and fight someone? Can you instead come up to them, give them a hug, and say "let's be friends"?

    Jesus' return confirmed!
  22. Man, the NFC East is awful. 6-10 might just win the division.
