  1. Starcraft Immortal. You all have phones, don't you?
  2. Jagged Alliance 3 I decided to start with Dr. Q, Vicki, and Blood: A fairly expensive team to begin with, hopefully that doesn't bite me in the ass. I wanted high agility stats on everyone so that I could be stealthy. First impression is positive, definitely captures the JA vibe. I like Blood, I'm glad I hired him. With the burn on her face, she's got secretly a villain written all over her, the only bigger giveaway would have been a pinky ring. That may seem too trope-y, but if there's one thing JA has always been, it's trope-y. I guess I'll find out eventually if she turns out to be a secret villain.
  3. I meant no disrespect. That is a fabulous pompadour. As a balding man, I'm jealous. If I still had the hair on my head to pull off an anime pompadour, I'd probably go for something like this:
  4. It should be a 4K powerhouse. Hopefully it delivers for your needs.
  5. While I would summarize this review for the tl;dw crowd as "mixed bag", I do like what I see and hear here. The fact that the game is hard and unforgiving is a plus in my book, Jagged Alliance is supposed to be hard and unforgiving. I can see how a nigh overwhelming amount of systems can be daunting to newcomers, but I'm not a newcomer, I want maximum tactical control, even if that amount of control comes at the price of not being newbie friendly and cluttered UI. Releases tomorrow.
  6. Is that a movie poster or a hair product ad?
  7. Were they Amazon they would have delivered the weapons by drone. Come to think of it, maybe that's what that Kremlin drone "attack" was, an errant Amazon delivery drone
  8. Civilians are mostly the ones that get hurt by cluster munitions one way or the other, hence why they're banned by a lot of nations. Cluster munitions are virtually useless against anything decently armored and a percentage of the bomblets don't go off on impact creating a very unpleasant surprise for some unlucky family to drive over with their minivan.
  9. Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch
  10. If it's Tom Cruise flying it then a F-14 would dominate the skies today.
  11. Yes, I am aware that the US did not sign the treaty outlawing cluster munitions. My point was that the Biden Administration themselves condemned the use of cluster munitions earlier and are now shipping them to Ukraine. Though, to be fair, after fact checking myself, the exact language was potentially a war crime. So I will amend my previous statement to the Biden Administration is by its own definition complicit in potentially a war crime. Here's the quote, by the way, from last year. First the question a reporter asked: And here's the reply from White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki:
  12. I'm going to wait for Beamdog's enhanced edition remaster with (even more) poorly written additional content in 10 years.
  13. Biden Administration: "The use of cluster munitions is reprehensible and a war crime." Also Biden Administration: /sends cluster munitions to Ukraine So, by the Biden Administration's own definition, the Biden Administration is now complicit in a war crime. And yes I'm aware the Russians have used them too, that also makes them war criminals, by the Biden Administration's definition, but in no way absolves the Biden Administration of, by their own definition, being complicit in a war crime.
  14. Project director describes Clockwork Revolution as love child of Arcanum and VtM: Bloodlines
  15. Interesting timing for a movie that will undoubtedly feature the French Revolution prominently, given what's happening in France right now.
  16. In fairness, her mother Ungoliant was a spirit that just happened to take the form of a spider and could, presumably, assume a different form. It's not that much of a stretch to think Shelob could do the same... Okay, it's a bit of a stretch.
  17. Meh, Middle Earth beat Pathfinder to sexy spider:
  18. Wait, when did @BruceVCstart working for Larian?
  19. I lean libertarian so naturally my first inclination is to be in favor of less regulation. However, it's not that simple. In a perfect world we wouldn't need any mandates. In a perfect world a sort of honor system would suffice and people would take breaks as necessary throughout the day. Everybody has their good days and bad days and there are days when people get a bit lazy and maybe take more breaks than they really need, but as long as they don't abuse the honor system too much, it's fine. In my experiences that is mostly how it worked. In the past, so long as I wasn't clearly being lazy, my boss would just let me take a break whenever. Here in Cackalacky the law is 2 10 minute breaks and a 1/2 hour lunch in an 8 hour work day, or at least that's what it was before I became a truck driver (whole different bunch of rules and regulations for truck drivers). We would wind up taking more than those 2 breaks and the lunch during a work day, a couple of minutes here a couple of minutes there, and no one would say anything as long as we were getting our work done because I didn't work for COMPLETE ***HOLES. However, complete ***holes do exist, so some level of regulation needs to exist because otherwise scumbag employers WILL abuse their workforce, we have hundreds of years of evidence for that. There are scumbags on the other side too that will exploit and abuse regulations to do as little work as possible, forcing everyone else to pick up their slack, I've witnessed these people with my own eyes. So where do we draw the line? Again, as a libertarian I lean toward less regulation, but I realize it's not that cut and dry. There needs to be some regulation to protect employees from abusive employers.
  20. I played the Broken Roads demo recently and, if nothing else, the alignment system in that game is potentially superior to the D&D Brady Bunch grid. It has a moral compass with 4 quadrants: Humanist, Utilitarian, Nihilist, and Machiavellian. You have an arc, like a view cone, that represents your alignment and it's not confined to any single quadrant. If you make a decision that deviates from your current alignment then the cone will rotate. If you keep making choices that align with your current alignment then the cone narrows but grows longer. Those circles are dialogue abilities you can use if they are fully within your alignment cone. Jury is out on how well it will work over the course of a full game, but it seems to better represent how people think and act than the law chaos good evil Brady Bunch grid.
  21. False. They didn't outlaw water breaks, they outlawed the government mandate for water breaks. There's a big difference between the two. Morally, I feel people should be able to take a water break whenever they feel the need to. Whether that should be government mandated is another story. I'm not going to argue either side of it. I'm just pointing out that there's a difference between outlawing a water break and outlawing a mandate for a water break.
  22. I finished the story mode and what a way to cap it off: To put the cherry plum on top, I made Chris Jericho tap out to a stretch plum to win the world championship. Doesn't get much better than making one of the greatest of all time submit. The story was corny as ****, but it was really fun. I got to the point near the end where I had enough mastery with the controls that rather than just trying to win the match I was showing off, taunting the opponent, throwing in a couple extra flashy moves even when I had my opponent dead to rights just to pop the crowd. Gotta give the paying fans their money's worth. I'll definitely play through the story again. There are different things that can happen and I'm 95% sure the story begins differently if you are a male wrestler. Also there's an upcoming free DLC that's going to add the Stadium Stampede match, which will be glorious pandemonium.
