Am I a fan of Obsidian's? Yup. Do I own a business? Sure do. Is Obsidian a business? You're damn right it is. As a business owner, would I like to have "fans" churning out innuendo posts about my company being "not honest", or potentially treating employees badly? No. Would I like to see my company lumped together in seemingly vague and general discussions about some corporate crisis? Nope. Would I appreciate if topics were made time and time again, where features of my latest game are strawmanned as potential upcoming failures in various ways. No, por favor! Mind you, I'm not advocating for censorship, here. But I'm saying enough is enough, the generic guise notwithstanding. and sadly, I hereby vote for this thread getting closed. I'm sorry for even taking the bait and thereby contributing to this whimsical slander dance, but I couldn't just stand by this time. I'm no longer amused.

It's lowercase lambda: λ or at least it looks like it.

Yeah. It'd be great if we'd suppress our inner doomsayers and fearmongers at least three notches. There's no reason to even discuss that something untoward has happened here. Here I was, hoping this thread would be used to say farewell to Katrina Garsten, instead it turned into something smearing Obsidian with doom and gloom and the end is nigh talk. Not. Fun. At. All.

Keyrock's dream game? And perhaps something for LadyCrimson as well? [Youtube]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awjLEF8Ljfg -
Yeah, I forgot to mention that those icons were something of the UI equivalents of phase beasts.

I love you! Points that I wish I'd made, served up as the tantalizing art of explaining something well. And doors! Back in the Poe1 beta, I complained about not even being able to hit the hit box for opening huge openings like caves, as it was just some tiny circle. Most of those area transition problems still remain today.

I'd love to see this fixed now, with them getting extra time and all. Having combat numbers and statistics is in a way a meta system, but one that we expect in this kind of CRPG. But having pop-up windows, shaped like any other window, giving us story info, etc, informing us that something is "above of our level" is one meta level too much for me. It breaks the CRPG illusion, and turns the game into some MMORPG or single-player MMORPG-wannabe, like Amalur. No, thanks.

Heh, the backer beta crawls up from the grave with a vengeance, it seems...

Rest in peace, backer beta, but soon we'll have the real deal, anyways.

Pictures of your Games Episode X - The Journey to Babel

Yeah, true respawning rarely happened. Rather, the same spaces I'd traversed like 5 times got refilled with new, but still same same stuff. And that nightmare was just tedious after a while (and I did reach the point where I got to turn it off, and even beyound that (my satellite charges ran out). I didn't use any PSI powers whatsoever, I was an engineer (like almost the entire tree), and then maxed out shot gun upgrades and ranged weapons. I didn't fill that monkey wrench branch, for instance. But, as I said, at my difficulty, and the corrupt (?) early save made my resources just dwindle, and I just couldn't keep up with the demand (that is, my needing to kill more and more stuff, since I didn't stealth at all. I faced everything, and sometimes I rand and kited baddies for a while, but the approach was openly aggressive, full-on human vs aliens, you might say.
