  1. I have to suspect that, with the best S. American players being contracted to play for teams in Europe, other nation's players have adapted to their skill set. It isn't that they are less talented than before; just that other players have grown better.
  2. It depends a lot on how difficult it is to break into that arena. The investment bar is high and not every game gets widely accepted, so for a smaller game company it's potentially a huge risk. They may need outside investment to make a go of it.
  3. Valve is supposedly working on a replacement for Steam Spy, so we'll find out at some point. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2018/07/valve-working-on-more-accurate-replacement-for-steam-spys-sales-data/
  4. Go England!!!
  5. Thanks for the SPOILER in the NO SPOILERS forum. People can't read.
  6. I love the unpredictability of this crazy World Cup.
  7. So probably cipher/rogue then for added sneaky solutions to role-playing quests?
  8. Personally I'd prefer something in between. Let the player have a limited set of selected spells that they can cast per encounter, then add in a magical focus that provides additional spell themes -- say up to 1 additional spell/level, depending on the power level. (The focus would be an equip-able item like an amulet, diadem, tome, or ring.) If the player doesn't like a focus, they can find a new one and become attuned to that. At least then you'd have some additional tactical variety and advanced planning.
  9. Ignoring any desire to be king of the battlefield, which class would you say has the best role-playing experience in this game?
  10. http://www.businessinsider.com/brain-stimulation-could-zap-out-violent-and-criminal-thoughts-2018-7 Ya know, if you simultaneously zap them in the groin area, you'd get even better results.
  11. Well it's tied into beliefs about fair play and cheating, which at some level is a fairly universal human trait. There's likely some cultural variation in tolerance though. https://www.npr.org/2018/07/01/625079032/the-art-of-flopping-in-soccer
  12. Neymar flops are being turned into a KFC commercial, subtitled "Make a meal of it". Apparently they tracked the amount of time he has spent on the ground at the World Cup: 14 minutes.
  13. ^ Well at least they're not vuvuzela's...
  14. Russia: "Serbian comrades, you owe us."
  15. There was plenty of flopology on both sides of that game, but the death agony roll from the slightest touch seems to be a particular specialty of Latin American teams. As the chant goes, "Let. Him. Die. Let. Him. Die."
  16. Maybe Obsidian should license their conversation toolset via Unity and make a little extra dough.
  17. Did hell suddenly get air conditioning? England won in PK's. That can't be right.
  18. Meanwhile, in Alaska...
