Opinion on the game from an old BG2 fan
rjshae replied to kreso's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Agree that the level loading and ship combat need to improve. Ship combat though is mostly avoidable, so level loading should be the priority. Not sure whether they can fix it though without choosing a different build engine.

Needs a fast-travel mode
Once much of the map is explored, it gets a bit dull sailing back and forth. The pace would be much improved with a fast-travel mode for your ship.

Leveling up non-party members?
rjshae replied to rjshae's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Ugh, that kinda sucks. Thanks though.

During boarding actions, does it help any to maintain your non-party potential companions at their highest levels?- Might is botched the same way as in PoE1

Many Patriots players are already saying they won't be going to the White House, but would like to meet President Obama. Oof!- The Funny Stuff thread

Current shows of interest are Counterpoint, The Gifted, Mars, and The Passage. I quickly lost interest in Roswell, Charmed, Nightflyers, and God Friended Me. Legacies, Black Lightning, Van Helsing, and Manifest are borderline interesting, and I occasionally still catch Supernatural. Cleverman was descent, but I don't know if it was renewed. Looking forward to season two of Happy and American Gods, plus The Walking Dead of course. I sure miss The Expanse.- Priest weak?
rjshae replied to tedmann12's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I use Xoti as my third front-line party member, mainly performing like a shield against weaker flank foes and chucking in beneficial buffs and protections plus supplemental attack spells. In that role she doesn't go down much and she helps shield the back line. Plus she's also frequently useful in cleanup actions toward the end when the other front line types go down or have to pull back to recover.- The Funny Stuff thread

rjshae replied to juanval's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I'd rather see a "Fallout: Tactics"-style game with TB combat that is independent of the main series.- The Funny Stuff thread
- Turn based and success
rjshae replied to juanval's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)No, the only conclusion one might draw at this point is that RTwP and TB have somewhat different audiences for isometric RPGs. Yes, people exclusively in the latter group are jumping into the pool, but is it a large group or just a brief surge?- The Funny Stuff thread
- TURN BASED combat in Deadfire?!
rjshae replied to Silvaren's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)So that was their evil plan all along, was it? Mwahahahaha... Right.- Football (Soccer) 2018-19
Soccer popularity in the US is slowly climbing. It was listed as the most popular sport by 7% of the polled audience in 2017, with Baseball being 9%. American Football is steadily declining in popularity, but is still top. It peaked at 43% in 2007, but has declined to 37% in 2017. I know I don't watch it much any more -- just the local teams. https://news.gallup.com/poll/224864/football-americans-favorite-sport-watch.aspx U.S. soccer academies are just starting to make progress, but they have a ways to go.Account
