There will be more voicesets on top of those already in the first game, including some new voicesets fashioned after the Critical Role Vox Machina characters as part of the Vox Machina DLC. There is a difference between voice sets and having a fully voiced player character. Going by the video and them announcing more voice sets, my impression was that the player character was not voiced outside the already existing voice sets for actions (aka the "get off my back").

GOG support these type of free promo DLCs, what they do not support is the off-website account logging the scavenger website is using to bind your Obsidian account to a Steam account (which I personally find super dodgy, I have no idea why people so readily accept that stuff). Obsidian could have used normal DLC keys for these promo or the system they used for the magazine pets.

Combusting wounds doesn't feel nearly as worthwhile as it did in the previous game -- the duration is very, very short compared to other spells. Do you mean the actual spell duration of Combusting Wounds or the DoT it applies on each hit? Good catch, I think I was reading the listed duration for the dot as the duration of the spell. What *is* the duration of the spell itself then? Combusting wounds is very good atm, dunno what you mention about. He thought it lasted 6 seconds...

The email they sent unfortunately states: Please note, this promotion is only available on Steam If that’s a case that really sucks. I will wait for official news before I start bugging Obs to figure out something or somehow move my order. I mean, it should be possible to generate keys for gog, no? Maybe a little bit more messy that steam integration, but come on! How could isometric RPG on GoG be the lesser edition? Eric responded on Reddit and said: Unfortunately, GOG isn't set up for promotions like this the way Steam is. However, we're looking into what we can do for GOG users and hope to have something soon! Hopefully they work something out for GOG users. While GOG might not allow linking user accounts from outside GOG the same way Steam does, they do support DLCs. Their answer is a bit weird, the system didn't have to require direct linking of the Steam account.

DruidShifter/monk - Roundkick while shifted is just awesome
morhilane replied to Farsha's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
It feels like it didn't get the damage/recovery/cast time polish other features got, but Golden Hulk is pretty awesome looking though. I kinda want to play that Arcane Knight setup now and smash puny things while covered in gold. -

I tried the Transmuter/Goldenpack...you do turn into a huge golden Ogre, lol. I'm not sure about the efficiency of that form though, recovery between smashing things was sloooooooooooooow (I didn't look at the stats). -
I assume not - at least, I think none of the women in Critical Role were in the first Pillars, and Pallegina would likely be voiced by the previous actress, right? And speaking of which, who voiced her in the first game? Jesus, why can't we get the damn cast list shown with their respective roles?! Pallegina actress is back, her name is Mela Lee.

Everything looks better in gold. -
I had no issues playing POE1 on release, so I'm going to do the same for Deadfire...as I do for every game I get on release. I played POE1 on release and again post 3.0 and I can't say I saw a big difference between the two. I think people have gotten way too hung up on bugs and balance these days that they fail to see that it barely affect them when they are playing.

I see, if I recall correctly it was rumored that each member would voice multiple characters but this is too far back and where I can not find so do not know, since it's not uncommon for a voice actor to do multiple roles. So naturally that was the encounter in my brain with all this but you're right, 7 is not enough for something like 600 Deadfire in-depth living/beifing npc's. Edit: Breathing They probably will voice multiple characters. In PoE Matt Mercer alone voiced 3 confirmed characters (Eder, Aloth, PC Sinister voiceset) and I am sure he did more - it sounded like he did Skaen priest under Dyrwood. I heard Pallegina actress do the voice for Crucible Knight representative at the animancy hearing. That's how it goes. If they are good actors it isn't even an issue. Voice actors for video games are usually giving one main role and then smaller stuff to fill in their recording session. That is because VO are paid in chunk of 4 hours even if they have less material than that, so their schedule usually include smaller stuff to fill in the rest of the time slot. Good VO are able to do more lines per recording session too. Critical Role team has a lots of range though...well outside of Liam who always sound like Liam because he has a very distinctive voice, but he can do good and bad guys with it. Laura also has a very distinctive voice too, but she can change it (well used to be able to, her recent stuff all sound the same..it's like she's type cast, lol...so his Travis for that matter).

Yes, but none of the classes covers all 6 categories (immunity is based on the afflictions/inspiration system) and I believe not all of the categories have a aoe affliction immunity spell. It's been a while since I looked at it and we don't know all the spells/abilities that will be in the final game. There is a lot more resistance to and inspirations abilities though, but dealing with afflictions won't be as simple as in POE1 where you just dropped the very large Priest's immunity AOE as needed.

Cipher's power require a soul as target, why would they work on summons?

Check the results, so many people picked this one! EDIT: https://www.surveymonkey.com/results/SM-83FTDGN58/ I picked that one...but I technically do not remember ever finishing that quest in 2 (finished) playthroughs, lol. I think quite a few people did like me: pick the answers you want (aka be a goodie-two-shoes going by the results).

He's just saying it's easier to step on your own toes if you multi-class, say, a Wizard and Druid and pick spells doing the same thing. In that case, you may as well be doing a single class. But, if you are picking complementary spells you'll potentially be doing very well, from a min/maxing point of view. That's probably true of almost any multi-class though, just more so with wizards because you are only picking spells, not really passives. ”I have a wizard fire spell and a druid fire spell and they both suck more than if I just had one” Actually it is: "I have a wizard fire spell and a druid fire spell and now they sucks unless fighting creatures weak to fire".

You forgot about the Steel Garotte... Those are the Woedica's nutjobs, right? They aren't nutjobs, they kill people who unlawfully break contracts on behalf of the wronged party. Some might be nutjobs that do it without being asked but saying they are all nutjobs is like saying all Bleak Walkers are psychopaths.
