  3. I hope you fix the Korgrak bug in the final version of the patch: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/82397-a-farmers-plight-quest-bugged/
  4. Singh? https://www.linkedin.com/in/matthew-singh-a7bbab5 EDIT: This is fun though!
  5. It better not be Matt Stone.
  6. All ranged weapons are two-handed, and I think the primary reason for that is technical rather than balance-related. If the designers decide it's worth making the effort of enabling one-handed ranged weapons, they can find a way to balance them too.
  7. Oh good lord! Well the cat is out of the bag! We had this cool system where you can level up your car with new software and find new parts similar to Borderlands and guns. Everyone's car looked different. The Hoff started at level 100 of course. In case it is not obvious and I get quoted somewhere and fired, I'm kidding. Still a CarPG would be a very cool thing if done right.... Wat!
  8. You seem pretty clueless about budgets and sequel development. And you're also contradicting yourself. If they "cut stuff" then how can they make the game "long AND reactive"? Cutting by definition makes the game shorter. Sequels aren't developed from scratch. They always have "+budget in the discuddion" because they build on top of the budget already invested in the first game.
  9. In one of Eder's epilogues it's said that his belief in Eothas was not weakened but strengthened by the revelation that Eothas was artificial, and this is presented as a good thing. You're off your meds son
  10. The more narratively coherent RPGs become, the less Baldur's Gate-style moustache-twirling punch clock villain companions like Edwin or Korgan make sense. Obsidian might design a dark companion in the future, but I'm pretty sure they'll never make something like that.
  11. If there were actually absolutely zero births the entire country would probably have been abandoned by the time the game started.
  12. Please fix this. Other threads: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/82397-a-farmers-plight-quest-bugged/ http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/82528-cannot-talk-to-korgrak-for-farmers-plight/
  13. Haha, see, this is why I can't take you all that seriously. You're against the Codex for being a den of "racist *ssholes" when your entire schtick is based around being kind of an *sshole here. You just like hanging around in a place where you can dish it out but don't have to take it. Lazy. Great, but but that doesn't really change my point, does it? Josh talks about one kind of narrative but not the kind I wanted to know more about, so I interviewed Eric. I fail to see the problem here.
  14. Josh has remarked on broad strokes setting-related queries (not the same thing as "narrative"). I've read all of his Something Awful posts and he's had little to remark on the game's story, despite the story being heavily discussed there. It's very noticeable how he only chimes up when mechanics or setting stuff comes up. And no, it's not just about pointing fingers about Chris Avellone. Keep your assumptions about the Codex in check, please.
  15. I still don't fully get this. Why couldn't they get Avellone to do the writing on South Park or something? Is it possible he was asked to but refused? I'm pretty sure he also didn't want to be the lead on an Obsidian-developed Torment successor back when they were deciding on what Kickstarter to do. Everything about Avellone and why he decided to transform himself from a creator of games into a dilettante is a bit of a mystery

  17. I've listened to it and there is such a question. I think two, even. There's not much of an answer, however.
  18. Baldur's Gate was notorious for the phenomenon where you'd give your entire party an order to go from one end of the map to another, only to have two party members somehow get stuck along the way, and another two inexplicably split off from the herd to take a longer path.
  19. Go take a look at your typical Infinity Engine game Let's Play video for the answer to that. I could take the criticisms of supplies-haters more seriously if they didn't insist on being willfully obtuse
