  1. How about background music for Durance and GM conversations? https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/81985-durance-and-gm-conversations-need-their-own-soundtracks/
  2. The one good thing about that fight having standard battle music is that you don't feel as bad hearing it repeat over and over every time you reload.
  3. Not sure I agree with that justification. The player can be smart and nimble enough to take advantage of shorter Graze status effect windows, effectively rendering them the same as Hits, but enemy AIs usually aren't. In general, it definitely feels different to me when I get hit with a disabling status effect for only 5 seconds vs 20 seconds. There might be specific cases where what you're saying is true, like if you're surrounded by enemies who keep Grazing you with disabling effects (think Xaurip Skirmishers). Even so, the shorter graze duration does allow you to escape more easily if you bring in reinforcements to help out.
  4. I'd like to see the new Prayer durations first before judging this change. re: half-duration Grazes being just as nasty as Hits, it depends on the player's skill level - whether you're nimble enough to ensure that your characters are in the right place at the right time to take advantage of the shorter windows. I guess you'd prefer a status effect graze mechanic that can't be so totally mitigated by the player's party movement skills. I wonder what the Sensuki-ite school of "tactical movement" would think of that.
  5. They'll probably do a Patch 3.0 video like they did for previous major patches.
  6. Story trailer: https://www.paradoxplaza.com/news/White-March-2-Trailer/

  8. You can discover that Fampyr's real name a few levels down, then come back and confront him about it (he pretends not to know what you're talking about). It's a nice little touch. His name is Cabiros, one of Od Nua's head wizards (or something like that).
  9. See here: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/82910-his-old-self-looks-unfinished/
  10. You could try posting this in Tech Support and asking them to fix it.
  11. He said couldn't have done it.
  12. ^Now that's inferring. The first thing he said in reply to the question was that there were projects that Obsidian couldn't or wouldn't do. That suggests that the primary reason for his departure was projects that were never made, not "design choices" in the games that were made.
  13. No, but he implied that he left because: 1) There was some project or projects he wanted to do but wasn't able to. 2) He was tired of fighting turf wars over his authority.
  14. Being fast is useful. Slowing somebody down, perhaps not quite as much, which may be why almost all slowing spells and afflictions apply additional penalties as well.
  15. It's official now: http://www.othersidetease.com/sss.php Be sure to fill out their survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DJMH7H6
  16. Well, inXile already trademarked Autoduel
  17. We know the new game is Project Vermont: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/83400-obsidian-project-list/ https://steamdb.info/sub/65186/
  18. The number of skills in the game is tuned to the number of skill points you get per level. Adding more skills willy nilly because "There should be a skill for that, IT MAEKS SENSE!!" would screw things up. In the end, the Infinity Engine games and PoE were not skill-based RPGs and it might even be better to take skills out entirely, replacing their functionality with equivalent talents (inb4 Fallout 4)
