  1. it is all that. we all gave them the money so that they're able to create a game based on their own vision. they promised us an ie like experience which consists of a party based rtwp rpg with isometric pre-rendered backgrounds. obsidian never said that they want to mimic (a)dnd and its attribute allocation.
  2. to be fair zremesher is still way behind manual retopo, though it's very good and produces usable meshes. in today's world poly budget ain't that troublesome anymore and i can see where such automatically calculated retopo is pipeline ready. the downside is that zremesher can't handle tris and that there's no real precise control of the edgle flow, which is crucial for animation - at least in low poly modeling. retopo is a chore, but within topogun or modo it's also very fast if you know your tools.
  3. first we don't know if there will be such mundane recipes. second if you gain those recipes automatically after investing a few points into cooking skills it's like knowing them from the start. crafting will stand and fall with balance. the recipes for items on par with legendary loot should be very sparse and difficult to obtain. the majority of crafted items should be weaker than legendary gear, but still viable and more useful than the basic stuff. to all the ones yelling for the bg2 crafting quests: they will be in! at least that's what was communicated while the project was kickstarted.
  4. well, there're only two options: 1) quit whining and play with those altered files from gog. 2) quit playing mow. bonus option would be to use the gog installer and swap out those horrible files with the last official ones from the platinum edition. if it works that way there should be nothing left to complain about.
  5. what rjshae said. plus they already said that they're creating the rules with heavy cpu calculation and real time in mind. there's no simple dice rolling in the background where the mathematics is simple and fast for a pnp session. we're talking about percentage and a range of 1-100+ for almost everything. to transform this into a pnp compatible game you have to rewrite the whole rules system from the ground up. i heavily doubt that this'll ever happen. what you recieved as official response is just business talk. words without substance.
  6. i still don't fully understand your stress level. just install the files from gog.com and test your custom content. if there're no issues simply stay with the files. if all goes wrong swap them with the last official ones or install your platinum edition. to say that publishers ruined your game experience is going way overboard. just be happy that you're still able to buy nwn2+exp+mow as a package. your rant's totally arbitrary.
  7. i highly doubt that the changes of those files interfere with your custom scripts. if so there already would be tons of threads at gog.com mentioning such corrupt behaviour.
  8. pls do not ruin the forums with your stupid and highly intolerant babbling. how much do i have to pay to get you kicked outta here?
  9. http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?threads/gamepro-feature-the-26-best-rpgs.27585/page-5#post-630494 http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?threads/aliens-rpg-now-officially-canceled.33947/page-3#post-817166 you can blame alot of nwn2's issues on ferret's decisions and the status of the game when he left.
  10. well, you know... equipping your wizard with a crossbow should solve the problem. that's because nwn2's lead designer ferret baudouin left obsidian in a hasty act to work on da:o. what he left was a mess, to put it kindly. josh did his best to get nwn2 back on track in time, but there was only so much he could do. imo what the team achieved, even at the cost of lots of cut content, speaks for itself. despite its flaws the oc's an entertaining campaign.
  11. regarding the fact that unity's got a great pipeline obsidian simply should go with a "universal" format like fbx or collada. there're tons of free exporters and the majority of apps do support them right from the start. there's absolutely no need for third party plugins and licensing issues. hopefully obsidian's that smart... they should also release a sample scene setup for rendering (correct camera angle!) and all the needed supporting maps (light, height, walking zones, overlays, etc.), if there're any.
  12. i do wonder how many of your 600+ members claimed the additional 8 bucks while in fact they just pledged to get the addons :D
  13. bascially you, and all the other tards arguing about it, are too dumb to understand. stamina would be like health IF the stamina bar has to be at zero first before you're losing health. this ain't the case because you'll lose hp as soon as you got hit, with no chance of regenerating besides resting. stamina is just another resource for skills and the ability to defend against strikes.
  14. gratz to 4 f'ing million dorrars! btw, the stream was hilarious
  15. the thread indicates that the majority of customers like an objective based xp system. perhaps you should get over it? btw you never answered why you need exp to enjoy the combat while there's still loot to gain as a reward.
  16. there's still the loot to gain as a reward. why do you exactly need xp to enjoy combat?
  17. the question still stands: why do you kill? guess the answer is simple, else you wouldn't complain about the mentioned system.
  18. the point is that you can still kill everything on sight. or do you just kill for the xp as josh described?
  19. what's wrong with a hidden quest that only appears in your journal after killing the great evil providing xp? the journal entry explains the backstory of the monster and the amount and detail of info could also depend on your lore skill. btw even if there won't be xp for killing special encounters there probably will be loot serving as reward.
  20. is exhausting in? like if your pc/companion hasn't slept for several days or is sick/encumbered, do they regenerate stamina at a slower rate?
  21. Is the goal to spend more on goodies and less on the game? Just curious. i don't get all those selfish tards neither... kickstarter is about to support the developers and fund a game, not to get the most goodies for your pledge -.- kickstarter ain't no business - you're donating because of good will and you will recieve a reward. this reward is just a goodie and should not reflect the amount you pledged.
  22. considering that P:E is an isometric game, choosing between different body types (given that they're in), hair and skin color and a portrait should be enough. perhaps different faces could be in too if the camera supports close up zooms - personally i don't care about such stuff. a face gen would be way too much to ask. that's a third party tool and too expensive.
