Easter Eggs!
Aedelric replied to NateOwns's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I want, a new Vegas (Wild Wasteland) option to turn Easter eggs off. Even though I always have my playthrough with it on I know some people feel an over indulgence of Easter eggs spoil the game for them. As for what could be in, I like to be surprised, but at least one reference each of Obsidians previous games would be a nice addition to the game. -
The whole point of the mega dungeon is to be long, it would not be much of a mega dungeon if we could complete it after three levels now would it? I will say, fifteen levels is essentially a game unto itself, the first Diablo was that deep was it not? I can not wait to see how it looks, hope it has the giant statue, fifteen levels should let us get down to the feet.

NEW STRETCH GOAL!
Aedelric replied to Loranc's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
The reason many of us do not grasp `enhance the whole game´ is because we know very little of what is actually planned to be included in the game. You say greater variety in animations, well how would you know how many animations are in the game to being with? More quests/NPC's we do not know how many we have for that either. Fact is, it is really ambiguous and their is absolutely no way to know what is going to be enhanced until we are told. Obsidian will no doubt use as much of the money as they can to improve the game, but it would be nice to get details. -
Armand the Bard has some great talent in writting and singing I love his songs. You have some very nice pieces Casey, it must have taken quite a while to compose them all. I quite liked the Celestial Terrain, I had a feeling while listening to each track they represented a race human/elven/dwarf. You should team up with the bard, what a song that would create! :D

Well, the forums have been busy lately, so I missed your topic Armand. Sounds like you are trying a slightly different style for this song, I will admit I do prefer the simple guitar and singing more, much more bard like. But still a very impressive piece, your songs always conjure great visuals with their stories. Great work!

Countdown to Eternity.

Beard guy is cool, everyone is going mad around him and he is calmly standing there drinking a cup of tea. Also he has an epic beard. -
NEW STRETCH GOAL!
Aedelric replied to Loranc's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
It is a little vague, the only details I can read is live instrumentation and developer commentary, not knowing what the other enhancements are is a little annoying. But I can wait for the details, right now we should be celebrating! -
Romance and friendship?

Strangely Bioware are the people you can use as an example of how to do it right and how to do it very wrong. -

To me it is not well deserved and now without a publisher to force deadlines Obsidian do have a chance to prove themselves, as you imply. -
In-Game Advertising
Aedelric replied to Aedelric's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
The Tardis is not a corporation or was it even a show on TV at the time nor did the BBC back Fallout with actual money, so I think the comparison is not exactly a decent one. You see the Kerfuffle thing as a gag, yet I see it as a blatant advertisement, but I guess part of our inability to see eye to eye is that we have different perspectives on the matter. Just because you see it as not being an legitimate advert, does that make it right for others? If Kerfuffle did not back Obsidian, with the intention of adding a Kerfuffle NPC, would I still have problem then? Probably not, because then Obsidian would not have the influence from the company any more and their decision would seem to be their own. -

Also This! Well, to be fair, Obsidian does have a reputation. -
In-Game Advertising
Aedelric replied to Aedelric's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
If that is their stance as you say, then we can rest easy that we will never meet the Kerfuffle monster then or an NPC with said name? I have my fingers crossed they do not have double standards. -
In-Game Advertising
Aedelric replied to Aedelric's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
So you two are saying advertising is fine, so long as it is unintentional or from a large corporation? Personally I see it from the perspective of one is as bad as another, no matter the meme or intention behind the advertising. I wonder if any supporters have back with the intention of abusing a generous high level backer reward for their own purposes, really that is not something we can find out till release or unless Obsidian tell us they have a process to avoid such issues. I have a feeling things will be fine and we do have the ability to mod the game which is a cause for relief. -
The End of The Beginning
Aedelric replied to Sordel's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
One person, who in general I had no dealings with no longer backing a project I quite like. Why should I care about that? Do not let the door hit you on the way out. Personally once the Kickstarter is over I will likely frequent the forums less, partly because their will be less happening in regards to development news and secondly due to my desire to avoid spoilers for when the game is finally released. -
Spend the extra money on QA
Aedelric replied to aVENGER's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I voted no, just do the regular QA, with early beta access for several thousand people already purchased spending excess money of QA would be a waste. More issues and bugs will be found by regular people through beta access, contrary to some peoples belief that is what beta access is for.
