Who might join your party...?
Spook replied to random evil guy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Bloody DS wannabies..... A true Darkside master first convince Zaalbar to help enslave the wookies, and then make him kill Mission. Then you keep him around so you can break aout a bottle of wine and some cheese while talking about your adventures together, like how he has a life dept to you and killed Mission because of it. His misirable look while you talk about it makes it worth having him around. -
You mean like that he was aboslutly the most worthless fighter to have along, since he could not use any armor? You could throw a pillow at him and manage to hurt him.

Care to tell me what sourcebook did you get that from? I'd really like to review a few things about unarmed combat, but I don't have the time to read ALL of them again. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The base book have Advanced MA, Improved MA, MA, Dodge and Defensive MA (+2 dodge bonus DEF). Heroes Guide then add 3 feats to each of the styles of Echani (used by Emperior Palpatine's royal guards),K'thri (an old MA style from old republic used in some part as sport), Stava (Noghri fighting style), Teras Kasi (ancient art of MA) and Wrruushi (wookie MA style that take advantage of the wookie strenght). The Heroes Guide also add the nice feats of Agile repose (if the one you use dodge miss you get an attack of oppertunity), Defencive Throw (if opponent you dodge miss you can immidiatly make an improved trip on him), Redirect Attack (if the opponent you dodge misses you can rederect it against another opponent within reach of you both), Stunning Strike (may attemp an stunning strike for each 4 lvls you have each day) and Unbalance Opponent (can during your action chose one opponent that is not allowed to use his STR-bonus on to hit vs you).

What extra feature should the PC version have?
Spook replied to Craftsman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Read though it as well, and it looked rather like Darth Taylor did not know if there was going to be any added areas for PC version. So there is still hope, and I dont mind if they borrow some graphic from the old game to give us the extra goodies if they need to save time. -
There is quite good MA feats in SW D20. The Teras Kasi Masters could get 4d4 damage unarmed together with a lot of neat MA/dodge feats. Though you need to be a soldier to be able to reach the MA prestige class at a lvl before lvl 12.

Wow! That could almost be an expansion pack <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Only if you are a xbox player. To us PC players it just make it a full game. -

Can't believe no one gave a comment on this (w00t) Actually, if you read Akari's final Weekend Programmer, he said that there will not be XBox Live! content for the game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah that sucks! Guess I'll have to try and play the pc version on my trusty laptop for the extras. Can -

PC version should have an extra area (not just a space station). There there should be some side quests (4 or 5 different quests, since we PC-gamers like longer games ) and some more items like in the spacestation they added in KotOR. The extra quests should include at least one Jedi quest, to get a unique light sabre chrystal, that is a mix of interaction and fighting in a rather big area like the old temple in KotOR (but with more meaningfull interaction). They could always let the spacestation in KotOR be in the game, but let us explore the moons and find artifact of our own this time, while fighting some space pirates and trashodian mercinaries on the moons. -
45 hrs! Yieks! Did you walk around on all 4, doing missions in slow motion or something? Oh, I get it. You consider the pazzack be part of game play. Nah that does not count since it is a bloody booring minigame that is just there to take up a lot of time without entertaing you.

I had no problem beating everything to blody heaps of served body parts with a Soldier7/Guardian. It was much esier then doing Scoundrel/Sentinel, Scoundrel/Councilor or Scout/Counsilor. And with pure Guardian I might get a few feats less, but I get more powers. The only bad part with this is saves, but with force resistance who cares. They need to put something in the game that is more of an effort for pure guardian then it is for sentinel and councilor. In KotOR last fight was a walkover with a Guardian but hard fight with councilor.

KOTOR II - Official Site Coming Soon!
Spook replied to envida's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You can never have to much info......... Well, in some cases you can, but that doesn't matter right now. -
I hope it is done in a fluid sort of way, rather than just a tedious effort where you have to "guess" when to return to planets, and thus might have to try and see if anything gets triggered whenever your PC goes up a level. In other words, I hope it's story related, sort of like in KOTOR when your NPC's sidequests were triggered and a cutscene sorta let you know it was available. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The quests should be like a tree, and you get quests depending on your choices. The quest should get to you a bit like in KotOR party meber-quests, but unlike them they should have different new quests appearing depending on if you chose DS, LS or took a more neutral stance.

Good idea, but

I would be upset if there was not enough good, well thought and entertaining sidequest to fill up my game time to something close to at least 30 hrs when main plot is done . KotOR was way to short and relied on stupid minigames to get gametime up beyond 25 hrs.

Why was it not an option in poll for: Bastilia returns for cameo, after which she dies horribly for a meaningless cause.
-
It would be kind of nice if they actually look like they were doing something. Big Z could sit and work with a gizmo, or polish that blade we got him on kashyyyk. Jolie could move around and work with medical equipment in medbay. Carth could sit in pilot chair and fiddle around with things there. Bastilia could be locked up in a container............ok maybe not. etc, etc. Well adapt that for whoever we have onboard in KotOR2.
-
Aww, why are you hating kashyyyk? We had a lot of fun there....... We got to help enslave wookies, I was always allowed to kill that runt of a bounty hunter there, you could help hunt a specie to extinction, encourage an hounorable man to kill in cold blood that smart fellow that tricked him into slavery and other fun stuff.
-
To much free time maybe..... What is your excuse for answearing all these pointless polls?
-
The more options in appearance the better.
-
Like fiberoptic cloth that change with the background and protect vs scaners? B)

I want a powerfull DS Guardian/Knight of Ni. I am still impressed of that darkside use of the word of Ni. And give me a ......shrubbery!
-
Just point out he is a cripple, that the lady was a DS Jedi and that the Empire could have killed her for the old man braking up the relationship.....Dont mention his military career any time during the questioning. Oh yeah and bribe the witnesses to make fake statements Canderous make a mean ranged figher in the end when you get one of the better heavy basters for him that do 5d6 or so. And he still can hack and slash with the best if you give him some dual wielding or power attack feats. B) Canderous was my main backup when I went in as DS with DS whimpy Bastilia. He raised hell like none with that nice added regeneration he had (and you could add some nice items and implants to make him immune to a lot of the Jedi attacks).

Thought it was put on halt when Lucas art fired a lot of people.
