DS powers should be the ones that are harming living beings, while LS powers should be those that heal or defend living beings. Those that just enhance a creature or have effect on none living things (like droids) should be neutral. That said I think they could add some better defencive powers to LS.

Revan could have reprogramed him to seak you out in case something happened to Revan. Droids can be modified after all, and if Revan was in danger he could have made some contiguences just in case.

What Country Are All You KOTOR 2 Fans From?

Sweden Gothenburg -
True, but quantity and quality rules over just quality.

He could have been frozen after that star forge was destroyed or Revan retook his place as the Master of the Sith. Not that this is the case since dev said so.

What Are You Looking Forward To Most In TSL?
Spook replied to Xcalibers_Apprentice's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Might be because there was nothing to like about the minigame. <_< -
DS Star Forge robe did give more then 3 pt AC, I think. The True Sith items from the graves though was not that good, and you could get better items elsewhere (most definitly at the space station).

A new SW CRPG. -
I think I will look up this tread next year when I have played the game (though it is very probably going to be KotOR2).

Do You Prefer The Dark Side Or Light Side?
Spook replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I always end up lightside first time I play this type of games, then I make a really evil fellow (with some effort) to see what the game placed in the game for evil characters. Since neutral is not really an option in SW as Jedi I dont try that out. I think, despite my comments on other threads, that I prefere LS, especialy when DS is so silly (read cartone evil). -
Which Saber Style is better and Why?
Spook replied to Soriath's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Just think in D&D setting single doesnt shine to much if point system made getting 17-18 in stats more easy it might be worth more since you could then choose to put less in str and more in wisdom or Charisma and still get high atr, with single hand feat that way it would shine alot out for casterbased since it would give higher DC. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> When main villian is almost immune to force power in KotOR (noticed that with my first scoundrel/councilor that used a single lightsabre) you then tend to go for just doing a great amount of damage instead. So if you have more trouble defeating Malek with single lightsabre taking up two seams to be the solution. I don't know how Obsidian intend to handle this, but I hope they will make councilor and sentinel as good for the end fights as guardians dualwielding. -
Agreed. Last time I checked though, this topic was named 'Ooh Unarmed Combat Viable'. If you want to discuss melee vs ranged, start a new topic, I'll be sure to read it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was just a way to show that maybe unarmed should be viable, even if you in real world need to be really good to use it. It might not always be realistic, but it might make game more fun.
-
Highly speculative, but interesting nontheless. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I definitly hope that was only speculations. With Obsidian using an old engine I expected that the game should be at least as long as KotOR, especialy when the movie sequence that was made early indicated bigger areas.

Fifth Element fan, are we?? <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Of course, it was a very entertaining movie.

What extra feature should the PC version have?
Spook replied to Craftsman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Nah, since xbox comes out first it is better to add 10$ to that and reduce PC game with 10$. -
Do you think it will be similar to the robes in K1? Like you only get one special robe before the very end of the game. So in K2 we will get fairly decent parts and possible the some of the best ones, but at the end we will get the rest of the best upgrades. Either that or they will cost so much that it will take most of the game to earn the money. Unless of course you are unlike me and good at playing Pazaak. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hopefully there will be no requirement to play pazaack to get things done. It was not a hard game, just a bloody booring game.

If you can't say any thing nice parph dioak, dont say any thing at all.Im sure people are aware they aren't real.:angry::angry::angry: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Obviously, you don't know that they are NOT real. If you knew they are fictional characters then why the hell would you make this poll? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Probably same reason all meaningless, but sometimes, fun polls get made...... Sounded like a good idea at the time.

Hope you realize they will just move on to another pointless speculation now. -
Shatter pistols and lightning guns. Sounds like a fun weapons for a nice BH. Yummie, weapons designed for Jedi killing.
-
It is funny how some people have astrong opinion about using MA against melee weapon, when the real point should be melee vs ranged weapon. Soldier 1 draw sword Soldier 2 draw blaster BAM! BAM! BAM! Soldier 1 dead. Realistic? Oh yes. But is it all that fun? Probably not. Jedi draw light sabre Soldier draw large shotgun like blaster with cone attack KABAM!!! Supprised Jedi: Eh, maybe I really can't move faster then light. Darn. (Jedi fall dead down) Realistic? Hell yes. But is it fun? Definitly not. <_< Let see if some people learn the lesson from this.
-
I think it probably is better then swords. Get in close so the fellow can't use the weapon properly and stay close while hitting him, and blocking by stoping the arms (not the lightsabre blade).

Which Saber Style is better and Why?
Spook replied to Soriath's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Either you go dualwielding a lightsabre and a short Lightsabre together with Improved critical feat, or you use a double lightsabre with best possible chrystals and power attack for maximum normal damage all the time. Single lightsabre is only for whimps and my first character that was a scoundrel/councilor. -
Revan had almost defeated entire Old Republec when he chooked to death on a cherry while trying to laughe like a true maniac while eating. After his death a big fight for power among the Sith allowed the Old Republic to regain some fighting forces in what little territory it still controled. And there is where we are now. Laughing like a maniac while eating is the ulimate skill of a true madman Sith..... Bwahahahahahahahahaha!
