Movies you have seen recently
Bah. The only movie that's likely to get money from me before Christmas is Ironman, and even that's only so I can partake in the steelbook case goodness.

Fear this milk
You people are nuts. Milk is awesome. Except for that lactose free crap. That stuff almost always has a really awful taste. Stupid rest of my family being lactose intolerant...

Trying to get some of my Audiosurf high scores back from friends who stole them when my computer was down.

Baldur's Gate 3 rumor
Why can't people just let it die already?

Pictures of your games
I'm currently playing Crysis now that I have a video card that can run it on high (with very high tweaks), and I often stop just to admire the scenery. And yes, the water is nice. Agreed. Screenshots don't do it justice. You really need to be able to see it in motion to get the full effect.

I just finished my run of Crysis that I started before I had to RMA my video card. Not a single hiccup in the tank battle this time. Only bad things that happened was my tank getting repeatedly shot to pieces until I learned not to stay still when enemy tanks have me in their sights. I actually enjoyed the zero-g segment. The only thing I didn't like was the stupid OHK attack that the stupid little aliens have. EDIT: Forgot something else I didn't like. The ending.

EA Sticking With SecuROM
Not counting Dragon Age, which has been in the works for quite some time, what was the last PC game that Bioware made? The cheeky answer is of course Mass Effect. Jade Empire had a PC version afterwards as well. The last time I remember being hyped for a PC version of a game was KOTOR, which came out shortly after it did for the console, and I believe for the most part was built as much in parallel as it could. Yes, but how much work did Bioware actually do on the PC versions of Jade Empire and Mass Effect? Jade Empire PC was farmed out to Grey Matter and Mass Effect PC was farmed out to Demiurge. One could make an argument that except for Dragon Age, which I can't seem to find when it was first leaked/announced, Bioware has already stopped making PC games.

Raid Arrays
I'm curious. Since disk 3 and 4 are being used as a backup, would it be possible to have the +1 portion covered by a single drive of equivalent capacity to disk 1 + disk 2? Say you have two 320GB drives in RAID 0, could you use a single 640GB drive to bring that to RAID 0+1?

Speaking of weird errors, my keyboard thought it was French earlier today. Vista said it was english, but the question mark was instead outputting

I recall hearing that at least in some areas it's a "pay us" line. Something about $2.50 a minute for those in Australia.

Score! How much did you have to pay for that?

Movies you have seen recently
I watched that movie just to spot all the scenes that were filmed here in town. Didn't really care enough about the movie to watch it for any other reason.

How many games are installed on your PC?
Maybe we just have bigger hard drives than you have. I currently only have three games installed. Crysis, SupCom and the Red Alert 3 Beta.

I used to hate fighting all those Vampire ambushes. Most of the time I ended up walking around during the day just so that I could avoid them.

What you did today
I'm half way to getting my wednesday afternoons cleared of University classes again. Some spots opened up on tuesday (right after a class I already had) and I was able to switch over without any trouble. Still need to hear back on the second seminar.

POST YOUR SPECS
Even if I had the money I think that would be just a little bit overkill.

POST YOUR SPECS
I just got my graphics card and RAM back from the RMA. RAM now passes memtest86 with no errors and I'm not getting any graphical artifacts in games anymore! Awesome! Just one small problem. Inside the box for the graphics card was a scratch and win card. I won 30% off any Diamond product. You would not believe how incredibly tempting a 4870 X2 is at $400. Unfortunately I don't have the money for that and I'd have to grab a beefier PSU to support it.

Spore is out, and cracked, on the internets.
How badly install limits will effect you depends on your playing habits. I have a large number of games that I've installed more than five times. Install limits are just not something I'm willing to put up with.

That was not really what I needed to hear I'm sorry to be the one to tell you... ... Maybe Akella will do unexpectedly good and manage to develop a series of fun Disciples games. Unexpectedly good? Akella was behind Heroes of Might and Magic V, and that was very well received. Akella behind HoMMV? Wikipedia says Nival Interactive developed and published by Ubisoft. My game box and manual confirms this.

What you did today
I still have that little project ahead of me. The walls in my new flat are baby blue and I have this strange urge gurgling in the darkest pits of my soul to rectify that. Only I don't particularly look forward to the actual project. Heh, it's only taken us 10 years to get this started. We moved here back in 1998 and the walls in all the bedrooms were pink, the bathroom had pink tile/tub/toilet, several rooms had pink carpets as well. You'd never have guessed that it was a little old lady that lived here before us.
-
What you did today
I managed to finish (for now) painting one of the rooms in the house today. It's so nice not having pink walls anymore. We still need to replace the pink carpet though.

The Gamer's Bill of Rights
You have some good examples of games that have worse 3D sequels than the previous 2D incarnations, but at least in the case of MoO3, HoMM4 (and 5 I assume, although I liked that one) and Jagged Alliance 3 their alleged crappiness had nothing to do with them being 3D.

What you did today
Ive been wondering the same thing. My cable internet provider (Comcast) is instituting a 250GB per month cap before you have to pay extra. I play WoW quite a bit and am curious how much juice that game sucks. I looked at my bill last night and it doesnt detail my monthy usage, which makes sense seeing as how there has never been a limit before, but still. Quick search shows that it's probably around 10-20mb/hour of play. Not enough that I think you should really be worried about with a 250GB cap.
