  1. After all the punching in the beginning, the video disappointed. I kept waiting for you to jump in and take on the sharks with your bare hands.
  2. Just make sure that red plate contacting the Ram etc. is not removed. Said to prevent a lot of hassles... Thanks for the heads up. Will do!
  3. Shark Hunting? Sold!
  4. That has a familiar ring to it Congratulations with your new computer I'm just glad I didn't have to back up my music collection as well! Had to do that recently already when my MP3 player crapped out on me and I had to restore to wipe it clean. It's so nice being able to run more than one thing at a time. I can actually run SupCom without it slowing down to -10 speed and still only getting 2FPS. I still need to get some new games to really try out the new graphics card. Maybe I'll finally buy CoD4. Also have an Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev2 for the 4850. I'm going to run with the stock cooler for a couple weeks before I void the warranty on the most expensive component in the system. Oddly enough, the new rig with 6 120MM fans is actually quieter than my old rig. The PSU on that thing was pretty loud. My little brother is getting the old computer as his first system once we grab a new monitor for it.
  5. Pictures! I really need to get a new DVD drive. Preferably a black SATA one so I can remove the stupid IDE cable and it won't stand out so much on the outside. It's so nice having USB 2.0 finally. Took nearly 14 hours backup all my stuff from the old computer to an external drive and on 30 minutes to put it back on the new one.
  6. New computer is up an running. CPU idles around 28C and hasn't gone above 36C after half an hour of Orthos. Seems to be running just fine so far. Still need to install all my software.
  7. We'll take that. Will you accept payment in pennies?
  8. Maybe for you people who are lucky enough to live outside of Leaf nation. I'm stuck right on the edge of TSN's Leafs territory so I'll probably still get stuck with a Leafs game every week.
  9. How could you not have finished this? It's like 6 hours long! Before TotSC was released, I only beat Saervoc because I summoned some kobolds, that use normal missiles (not magic) and one of them killed him. heh How humiliating. Kobold Commando's yeah, but normal Kobolds? Hah!
  10. I woke up this morning to the sound of my cellphone ringing. I apparently have a job interview tomorrow with Purolator for a warehouse job that involves heavy lifting, sorting of mail and ungodly hours.
  11. Most of the parts for my budget rig are here. I got some pretty awesome deals on the Mobo+CPU otherwise I wouldn't have been able to afford this much after I paid off (my contribution towards) my tuition for this year. Will post pictures after I get it all set up on the weekend. Asus M2A-VM AMD 5000+ Black Edition Xigmatek HDT-S1283 Heatsink 4GB OCZ PC-6400 RAM Diamond Radeon 4850 Corsair 450VX PSU WD 320GB Hard Drive (Arrives thursday) Coolermaster CM 690 (picking up on saturday)
  12. Ruins? You mean like Firewine Bridge?
  13. Just curious if you can remember what the problem you had with this game was. I quite enjoyed Mechwarrior 3, certainly moreso than I did 4. Only glitch I ever ran into was the "invisible cannon" on the second level. Blowing off a mech's legs from beyond visual range with a bank of ER PPC's was great fun for me.
  14. That I own? Command and Conquer: Tiberian Dawn - Played and beat the rest of the series but never beat the original. Command and Conquer: Renegade - I almost made it through this one. Made it to the last level before I got sidetracked. Silent Storm - Interest comes and goes in this one. I play a few missions at a time, then lose interest for a few months. Thief 1, 2 & 3 - In 1 I made it to Return to the Haunted Cathedral before stopping because it scared the crap outta me. I was killed by the doors! In 2, I quit after the robots showed up. I wasn't fond of the robots, but I really should try it again. In 3 I had it on release when it was full of bugs. I repeatedly played the first level for several weeks until I could 100% ghost the level with the enemies sight and sound 3x normal sensitivity. Starscape - I made it to Zone 5, but my ship was pretty crappy and couldn't handle the enemies there. I got bored of mining for more minerals, so I quit. Homeworld - Made it to the mission with the hyperspace interdictor thing that was in the middle of the huge sphere of ion cannon ships. Got bored and quit. Baldur's Gate 1 - I've never gotten past chapter six. I kept hitting some major bug that prevented me from going any farther. Need to try this one again. Myst (Entire Series) - Own, but haven't played 1, 3, 4 and 5. Got the the very end of Riven, but couldn't figure out the stupid sound code to unlock the prison. Vampire:TM:B - Got past the first hub, but then lost interest in the game. Heroes of Might and Magic V - Made it to the last campaign. Took me forever. Then someone deleted the game... *glares at little brother* Commander Keen Episode One and Four - I played these when I was six. Managed to beat about half of the levels in each episode, but that was it. The others required jumps and timing that I just couldn't pull off at the time. Contra 4 - I did manage to beat it on easy before the game called me a baby and to try again on a real difficulty level if I wanted to beat the whole game instead of just the first six levels. That's about all I can think of off the top of my head. I'm not counting games that I'm still on my first playthrough of (NOLF2, Etrian Odyssey II, a couple others), but I'm pretty sure that there is probably another game or two I'm missing...
  15. Trust me, this gets old pretty quick. I don't think it's rained once since I moved down here in April. I like a little rain now and again. This past July we've had triple the usual amount of rain. The only year where we have had more rain was 2004 when we were hit by a pretty major storm that dropped 200mm overnight and flooded a big chunk of the city. We've been lucky to get more than one day in a row without rain this summer.
  16. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/38046.html That was really creepy...
  17. Yes, Nehalem will have a quad core solution. Each core will also be hyper-threaded, so it's like virtual 8 cores And then you go dual socket for 8 real or 16 virtual cores!
  18. Those jerks! They have the current weather advertised on the "Life in Orange County" page under the Jobs section. 80F and sunny while it's 71 and rainy here. Damn you Obsidian!
  19. Yes, Nehalem will have a quad core solution.
  20. I just finished Sin Episodes Emergence. I only have one thing to say. Why [insert whoever is responsible for there being no more episodes here], why?!
  21. 1. PC 2. Whatever the default was. 3. I think we played Backlot, Overgrown, Pipeline, Showdown and Vacant. I can't remember which one I did best at... 4. I don't actually own the game. I was playing with several friends at a LAN center and they all quit to play something else after two hours.
  22. In my entire 2 hour CoD4 career, my best match had me at 28-29. Stupid jerks hiding just around corners.
  23. I'm running through Sin Episodes right now. I really hate it when the peons discover that their guns have an alternate fire mode.
  24. Other than those and Act of War, everything else in the bin was utter crap. Can't remember any other specific titles unfortunately.
  25. I picked up Sin Episodes: Emergence and NOLF2 the other day. Saw them both in the bargain bin for $2.50 each and I seemed to recall people enjoying them so I grabbed them. For $5 total, I don't see how I can be disappointed.
