  1. Restarted Diablo in the vain attempt at getting some better gear than what I have already. I've hit level 8 and the only thing I've swapped out was Lapis Amulet for a Blue Amulet of Might. Less Lightning resist (still max) but it gives me an extra 9 Strength.
  2. Looks like Jagr is playing in Russia this year.
  3. Slept for 14 hours. Slightly more than average for me, but I still envy you. Of course my body did have to repair all the cuts and bruises I scored whilst drunk. I slept for 6 hours instead of 10 because I didn't realize that my dad had most of the day off and that I therefore didn't need to get up early if I want the vehicle this afternoon.
  4. I just reached Diablo. Was moving slowly through the level trying to kill as many enemies as I could before hitting the big guy. Cleared most of the level and then got just a little ****y running into a room to lure out all the melee guys and ended up getting half a dozen acolytes, half a dozen blood knights and the big guy come after me. Glad I opened a portal before exploring that section. Just made it back before I died. Current Gear The same stupid Fine Claymore I've been using since I hit the catacombs because no one has dropped/sold anything better for use in one hand. Bow of the Heavens (+13 to all stats) Shield of the Tiger (+18 Armour, +49 HP) Ring of the Heavens (+12 to all stats) Ring of Precision (+29 to Dex) Jade Plate (+54 armour, +21% resist all) Veil of Steel (+15 Str/Vit, -30 Mana, +50% resist all, -20% Light) Lapis Amulet (+33% Resist Lightning) Much better than last time. If only I could find another decent sword.
  5. You realize you're making me want to play D1 again, don't you? And yeah, when they're near the stairs and you haven't cleared any areas so you have no where to back up to, it's really hard. That was the great thing about D1, imo ... you never had that kind of feeling of potential "doom" in D2 - or at least never so harsh. Managed to clear out that area. Had to jump in and out three times to get rid of the melee enemies in the room first. Then I popped in and and spammed firebolt a billion times. Cost me a fair bit for all the health and mana potions that took. One of them dropped a book of golem which I can never use (thanks to warrior mana cap) so I sold that to cover my potions. The rest of the level Consisted of my sitting just around the corner while the idiot succubi would stand right on the corner and have all their shots hit the wall while mine somehow hit them instead.
  6. 19 you can justify as long as you're 4th level or higher, but no 20s.
  7. TSN says he signed for 7.4 million. Still too much?
  8. BBQ
  9. Damn Force Unleashed. I really dislike Lucasarts for that one. There are many reason I can understand for not bringing it to the PC, but don't BS me and say "If we did bring it to PC there would be so few people that could actually see what we want to do with it, because their computers suck" only to launch the stupid game on every other platform in existence. "We don't want to dumb it down for slow computers" rings hollow when it's coming out for Wii, DS, PSP, PS2 and the freakin' N-gage!
  10. Yeah, that was kinda surprising. Although at 5.6 or so, Huet is over paid. I can see 4 million, but not much more.
  11. Aw damnit. The Islanders signed Mark Streit.
  12. I found a bow that'll put me up to max resist magic, but the stupid things killed me pretty quick anyway especially since my magic is pretty crap and the bow does so little damage. This could be an expensive start to hell. Pop in and kill one, pop out to heal, pop back in and kill another. It wouldn't be so bad if they weren't all swarming the stairs.
  13. Question 79 doesn't make any sense. " I would rather spend two hours... ...camping with my friends. ...drinking with my friends." Doesn't A include B? True Neutral Human Sorcerer (2nd Level) Ability Scores: Strength- 12 Dexterity- 13 Constitution- 12 Intelligence- 15 Wisdom- 16 Charisma- 12 Alignment: True Neutral- A true neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. He doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most true neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil after all, he would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, he's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some true neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. True neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion. However, true neutral can be a dangerous alignment because it represents apathy, indifference, and a lack of conviction. Race: Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like. Class: Sorcerers- Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters who manipulate magic energy with imagination and talent rather than studious discipline. They have no books, no mentors, no theories just raw power that they direct at will. Sorcerers know fewer spells than wizards do and acquire them more slowly, but they can cast individual spells more often and have no need to prepare their incantations ahead of time. Also unlike wizards, sorcerers cannot specialize in a school of magic. Since sorcerers gain their powers without undergoing the years of rigorous study that wizards go through, they have more time to learn fighting skills and are proficient with simple weapons. Charisma is very important for sorcerers; the higher their value in this ability, the higher the spell level they can cast. 14. a what? He had a BBQ with some friends to celebrate Canada Day. I haven't done much today. Gonna go see some fireworks later tonight and we're going out for dinner in half an hour.
  15. I just hit Hell with my warrior and look to be entirely screwed. I came down the stairs and immediately ran into a group of 20 snow witches which shoot faster than any other ranged attack I've come across so far and for some reason they don't like to melee with me. I think I'm around level 22-23ish, give or take a couple levels. My gear is pretty crappy though. Normal plate mail, helm of absorbtion, a couple of crappy rings that give +5 to certain skills, a shield that gives +45HP and a fine claymore. I've been getting really crappy drops and the shops haven't really had anything that good either.
  16. I seem to die once every four levels in Diablo. I died on the fourth level and I died on the eight. Those damned invisible bastards are tricky. You can wander around and not see anything, then one appears so you whack him down, but then two more appear and when you try to strike them down 4 more appear and bam your surrounded after which death follows pretty soon. Found some pretty nice armour, but the stuff I have right now has a +40% light radius which lets me actually see more than 2 feet around my character.
  17. Wall-Rs? What's the R stand for? I thought they were WALL-A, not R. As in "Axiom-Class" in place of WALL-E's "Earth-Class." Yeah. That's what I thought as well. Made sense to me. It did make me wonder why they had so many little ones on Earth. Why not toss a couple of the big ones down there as well. Surely it would have helped clean up the place faster.
  18. Wall-Rs? What's the R stand for?
  19. And Malone signed a 7 year, $31.5 million deal with the Lightning.
  20. Because reciting sound effects and acting out the on-screen action to people who have yet to see the movie just doesn't have the same effect. I agree with you completely that the lack of dialogue in no way hurt the film. It was impressive just how much they got the characters to express with just a few simple motions and just four words. I just wish it was longer. 90 minutes seems so short. I really liked the movie. So much so that I've already seen it multiple times just looking for things that I missed in prior showings.
  21. I'm tempted to load up my old copy. I don't think I ever got farther than the 6th floor. Someone invited me to play online and gave me a whole crap load of awesome gear that I couldn't use cause my stats were too low.
  22. I went to see Wall-E this afternoon. My only regret is that because there is so little dialogue they aren't really any memorable quotes that you can recite. Just about everything is visual. Received a set of free movie passes as well since the projector went out half way through. Score one for free movies!
  23. Your CPU was still better than what I'm using now.
  24. Same here! I had a 9600 Pro that I picked up the summer before. Still using it too.
