  1. How could they make the camera worse? As long as I can still snap it back behind me with a quick button press I'll be satisfied.
  2. Ikaruga. I spotted a copy for the Gamecube today when I was out checking my usual second hand store so I picked it up. This game is better than me.
  3. Steve is the current CEO of Microsoft.
  4. I think Duthie is on to something here. Also, thanks for nothing Dallas! Because of you I went 0-2 in that round!
  5. I'm less annoyed with Kovalchuk than I am with the Canadian team. That was one craptacular third period.
  6. Kovalchuk was awesome GG Russia Yes but why did he have to wait till the finals to be awesome? Why couldn't he have been awesome earlier in the tournament and then not showed up for the final?
  7. Yeah, those who buy/bought the C&C3 expansion Kane's Wrath got a key to enter the beta whenever it starts up.
  8. Damn straight. Can't wait till the beta starts.
  9. Bah! Damn you Kovalchuk!
  10. Winning 4-0 now. :D
  11. Had all 4 wisdom teeth out this morning. The freezing they used finally wore off about 6 hours later. The bleeding seems to have stopped and I have yet to experience any pain. Haven't taken any of the Tylenol 3's they prescribed for that yet, but I have taken one of the ibuprofen that's supposed to help with any inflammation. Just sitting here right now with an ice pack to limit any swelling that might occur.
  12. &$#^#*(^% Damn you Philly and Dallas! Even in defeat you screw my predictions!
  13. Okay, I see why you're getting stuck now. They've really beefed up the AI and seriously downgraded the mammoth from when I last played. Nod actually uses all the units at their disposal this time including venoms and their bombers (which for the life of me I can't remember the name of right now). Defence certainly seems to require a more active hand now than it did before. I screwed up massively during my run through, but it gave me enough insight as to what could be done. As soon as you can, build a third Pitbull and run them on a suicide mission towards the nod base. Two of them should be wiped out right away by the Nod Obelisks, but the third should make it through to the ramp and unlock the Juggernauts for you. They'll allow you to take out the Obelisks without taking any casualties. Your next objective should be the Tiberium field to the north. Grab some APCs and load them up with a commando and some snipers and/or rifle infantry. Use these to take out the infantry that come from the northern paths while you use the Juggernauts to take out the Obelisks. Once the obelisks are gone you'll need to stake something at each of the two northern paths. Anything that kills infantry fast will do. With the northern Tiberium field secured move in a build a new refinery up there to reduce wait times. The new influx of cash should let you build up a force of mammoths to secure the bottom two paths to your base. Once you've got those you should be able to relax a little, just keep an eye on your blockades and replace troops/buildings as necessary. From there you just build up your Firehawks and use the Stratofighter upgrade to bypass the AA in the Nod Base. Drop them in near, but not on the Ion Cannon shield things and immediately tell them to bomb the structure. Once that's done you should be able to use the Ion Cannon and your artillery to take out enemy Power Plants to knock out the defences leaving you free to waltz with the mammoths you built earlier to hold the southern ramps. Hopefully that helps you out somewhat. Of course it'll still take some patience to get through this though.
  14. Was that the Temple Prime mission? Yeah, Temple Prime as GDI. I do fine till Nod techs up to mass shadow teams and black hands. Then it becomes an exercise in tedium. I got as far as to the first ion protection field last time, but my forces were too spread(basically a long queue of Mammoths) and I was swarmed by beam cannons and a couple of avatars. I don't feel like doing it all over again, but I want to see the missions in chronological order and am trying to hold up playing further as Nod(in Sarajevo as well). It's too bad because I thought the previous Eastern Europe missions were superb as GDI goes. What difficulty were you playing on? It's been awhile since I've played that mission, but IIRC I just used suicide firehawks to kill all the important buildings. The stratofighter upgrade that lets them drop straight down into the enemy base worked wonders. 3-4 mammoths at each ramp entrance to the Nod base kept them penned in while I harvested the rest of the map to constantly replace my firehawks. You seem to be having a lot more trouble with it than I did. What version are you running? I seem to recall a lot of balancing changes that may have caused this jump in difficulty. I'll go through that mission later tonight with a fully patched game and see what happens.
  15. Just beat Metroid Prime 1 a couple hours ago. Took me awhile to recognize the pattern, but after that it was easy. Only managed a 69% completion though. Need to find a copy of Prime 2 now.
  16. Was that the Temple Prime mission?
  17. Heh, best mission for salvage frigates is late game with the hyperspace inhibitor thing that is protected by a huge sphere of ion cannon frigates. If you work it right you should be able to walk away from that mission with 50+ ion cannon frigates.
  18. Either that was worded poorly, or you don't buy many games.
  19. I finally found the gravity suit in Metroid Prime! Woo! Although now I feel like an idiot for missing that door when I checked the map. I really should keep a log for all these areas that I can't reach "_____ Door in ______ Area: Requires ______ and _____ to reach"
  20. Do you know if there any other content left to add beyond journal entries?
  21. Everything in the news about him since the trade deadline has been about how he isn't really happy in a back up role. As for teams where he would be able to get a starter role, how about LA? They went through what 5 goalies this year?
  22. Huh? Hoping for a release before...well..the next decade 27 discovered bugs remaining. 19 undiscovered bugs from 1000 total bugs. I'm almost positive that they'll get this out in the next 18 months.
  23. I was going to yell at whoever brought this thread back from the dead, but because your post was so full of awesome I shall restrain myself.
  24. Okay, that makes much more sense. Thank you for clearing that up. And I'd have to agree with you about the author of that comment. Attitudes like that certainly won't help his cause.
  25. I'd say the likely hood of that is pretty high considering it was mentioned over at Bioware that the Auth servers will be hosted by EA and they are using the same system for Spore. You're right, it isn't the first time that Bioware has used Securom. It is the first time that that they are requiring repeated (online) authentication checks for a retail purchased single player game. From what I've seen, Securom isn't what everyone is really objecting to. It's the phoning home every ten days that people are really against. And if boycotts are for cowards, how else is one to express their displeasure to a corporate entity like Bioware?
