I'm severely disappointed in the people in my riding. We re-elected a complete idiot. The guy takes credit for things that he has no say in what so ever. He's claimed that he is the only one that could have gotten certain things accomplished, despite the fact that nothing has actually happened yet and whether or not it gets funding is all down to the federal government. He's gone out and contacted several companies to plan out a new hotel/convention centre for the city without talking to city council or anyone in the area. He constantly bombards us with stupid flyers telling us how great he is and somehow he got back in and did so with even more votes than he got last time when the Liberals were running a really crappy candidate.

Had the same thing happen to me on both counts. I just hit Chapter III in MotB last night with my nearly invincible Fighter/Barb/Rogue. I've bumped the difficulty up to Hardcore and I still rarely get damaged. 48 AC keeps most things from hitting me except for criticals. If they do manage to hit me I now have DR 12/- and 25% slashing immunity from a shield I bought from the Ironfists back in the NWN2 OC which seems to apply before my DR does. If I manage to get hurt after that I regenerate 6 HP per round and have over 600 hit points currently. Next time I will have to try something that isn't quite so strong. I also just realized that you can talk to your companions and what they say actually changes depending on various factors!

Right. Like Jade Empire. Oh, wait, no huge organization of elite warriors or ancient race. BG2? I don't recall a huge organization of elite warriors and I wouldn't call Irenicus an 'ancient race.' NWN, it has the ancient race, but no HOEW. How huge would an organization have to be to be considered for HOEW status? With all the party members you could have leveled to the cap, you certainly had the elite warrior part down. Irenicus wasn't an ancient race by himself, but I suppose you could technically call him a member of one, not to mention all his evil drow henchmen! Jade Empire had the spirit monks as their (ex-)HOEW but I can't think of any ancient race there. It was all pretty present day.

Five minutes of doing nothing in combat. Sounds like fun. Epic level mages and disabling spells ftl. I always seem to roll ones on will saves. I try to never go into combat without Mind Blank on, but occasionally they will dispell it, or'll I'll forget and then I get hit with the will saves like crazy and be forced to stand around and do nothing while the rest of my party is slaughtered.

I finally finished my run of the NWN2 OC and moved on to MotB. It's SO nice being able to run this at more than half a frame per second. It also seems much easier although that might have something to do with my imported character have totally awesome (some might call it cheating...) equipment. Being able to add enchantments to Wondrous items (go, go crafting mods!) is really overpowered. A ring that gives +5 regen, +5 to AC and +5 to all saves is just ridiculous. Also, tossing +8 CON on a pair of Boots of the Sun Soul +5 and using them on my Ftr/Brb/Rog with Use Magic Item is just obscene. I've got 450 hitpoints and an AC of 48 with room to improve on that with epic level enchantments. Damage dealt could be much better, but what my character lacks in attack strength is more than made up in staying power. Regenerates 5HP per round. Can't be hit by anything short of a critical by 99% of all enemies. Ignores the first 6 points of damage from every hit. (From epic feat and barbarian DR) There have been several fights where I have literally stood around for nearly 5 minutes of real time in the middle of a swarm of enemies and done nothing (Thank you stupid mind affecting spells...) yet still come out unharmed when my character finally snapped out of it.

I just realized that I did something incredibly stupid two months ago. I scheduled a 3 hour lecture at 7pm on wednesdays. For the next two and a half months I'll have to record the early games on TSN if I want to watch them. I don't want to miss Montreal's home opener.

Considering its still 40 bucks for Burning Crusade, a year old expansion pack, I wouldn't doubt it either. The comments about each subsequent product bringing multiplayer improvements is another sore point. That just screams "If you want to keep playing online, you'll have to fork over more money for singleplayer campaigns that you may or may not have any interest in."

I'm not impressed with having to fork over money three times for this. No doubt each package will be the full $50. Personally, I'd rather wait and get it all at once. I've waited 10 years already, whats another couple years?

Vancouver has a pretty good top 4 group of d-men. They got hit hard with injuries to all four for significant amounts of time last year. If they can stay healthy this year they should be in good shape on the back end. Ohlund was out for 30 games with Back Spasms (19 games) and had surgery on his left knee (last 11 games) Bieksa was out for 47 games with a Calf Laceration Salo was out for 19 games with Left Wrist injury (9 games), a broken nose (8 games) and a sore groin (2 games) Mitchell was out 10 games with a sore back Up front is where they have some problems. They have three players that put up more than 35 points last year in the Sedin's and Pavol Demitra. Bernier should do much better this year with the Sedin's, but I'm not so sure about the rest of their offence. They looked really good last night though.

I don't have that benefit, but UPS around here isn't currently hiring drivers or driver helpers. They are however hiring in the warehouse.

I got a call this morning from a prospective employer and I think I blew it. Trying to go over your application in a semi-awake state immediately after crawling out of bed does tend to make the whole thing a little harder. Hopefully the fact that they are hiring about a billion people for the holiday season lets me squeeze through.

A few days?! It was leaked five-to-seven days before the street date, about a week. However, you are correct that it was most likely gold before it was cracked. Five to Seven days before the NA release maybe. AUS release date was September 4th according to Wikipedia. Only a day after the torrents popped up.
