  1. Thanks for the link! I haven't seen anything Bond prior to License to Kill, but it was interesting to hear his take on it as someone fresh to the series.
  2. Montreal fans are stuffing the all-star fan voting ballot box. According to the current voting tally, Montreal would supply the entire starting lineup for the Eastern Conference team. Koivu, Kovalev, Tanguay, Markov, Komisarek and Price all have more than 125000 votes while the next highest is Luongo with 67000.
  3. Explain.
  4. Isn't that one of the features of Vista? No.
  5. Yeah, but I wasn't really expecting them to make the switch in the middle of the year while Burke is still under contract.
  6. Brian Burke out as GM in Anaheim?!
  7. You're probably right. Also, I find it interesting that a player who couldn't crack the lineup in Montreal has more goals than anyone else in Toronto and is only three points behind the team lead.
  8. Which makes this all the more odd that mkreku seems so down about the Leafs. They've been playing some damn good hockey and are far above expectations. Hell, they are tied with New Jersey for 8th place in the East! Also, it's nice to see Grabovski doing well. It's so hard to watch Leafs games because I want to see Grabovski do really well, but I hate the team he plays for.
  9. Woo! Chris Higgins just got his first career hat trick in a 4-0 shutout against the Senators!
  10. Just pulled the trigger on a new monitor. Will post more pictures when it get's here.
  11. I'd remove Kari Lehtinen from the list and put Thomas in there instead. Lehtinen hasn't done anything this year to be worthy of being on the ballot.
  12. Kha'ak if wikipedia is to be believed.
  13. No Doubting Thomas I think we should make Tim Thomas the write in candidate for the all star game this year, but only if he promises to go ballistic every time someone scores on him.
  14. Here you go.
  15. I finally found a mission that I couldn't beat on my first try. Made it through to the final Allied mission in RA3 which has a stupid time limit of only 20 minutes for you to build up a base, knock out 7 iron curtains and then take down a final building. My first time through I totally forgot about anti-air so I got mobbed by a group of soviet twinblades that came in and destroyed my con yard before I could kill them. I didn't have enough money to build a new MCV so I just restarted. The second time I tried I built up a force of 8 allied apollo fighters to take care of anti-air duties and a mob of mirage tanks. RA3 mirage tanks are like a combo mirage/prism tank from RA2. They can still hide, but they've got the prism (renamed spectrum) gun and don't seem to cause friendly fire. By far the best Allied damage dealer. Sent my huge mob forward and they got absolutely crushed by a bunch of V4's when they stopped moving for 2 seconds to take out one of the iron curtains. It would have taken me too long to rebuild so I started over again. Third time through I built a few base defences to keep enemy air units away and built up a force of 12 vindicator bombers. I went around the map sneaking my group of bombers into the enemy bases and blowing up the Iron Curtains but this time my ally did almost nothing so I had to take care of his side of the map as well. I took out the final iron curtain with only 36 seconds remaining on the clock and fired my superweapon at the final target, but it barely dented the stupid thing so I lost. My bombers arrived back after rearming just as the screen faded to black.
  16. I just failed my road test because apparently I was speeding in a school zone which is total bull****. I saw the sign. I also saw the one below it that said that it's only a 40km/h zone when the lights are flashing. The lights were not flashing, so I kept going. I also apparently didn't look left/right at every intersection/turn I went through which is utter garbage. At least the tester wasn't the old hag that I had last time so the trip was slightly more pleasant.
  17. I'm working through Red Alert 3 right now. It really needs to be played on hard to get much of a challenge out of it. I've only had one mission out of the first 5 soviet ones that posed much of a threat. My ally was getting his ass kicked and I had no money to build anything with. The Allies kept sending Aircraft carriers at us and I was just lucky that I had multiple support powers that I could stagger usage of to keep them (mostly) off us. I was taking a pounding from three sides. The AI still needs a couple tweaks to give it some killer instinct. If it had really wanted to, it could have probably taken me down at several points but it didn't.
  18. You know, you could have put that all in one post...
  19. As good as Lundqvist is, he's not the only reason that New York is 1st overall.
  20. Lol. Should have seen Don Cherry last night after the game. "I told you people the Leafs weren't crap! I told you people that the Leafs were going to be in the race for a playoff spot! Everyone else (Coach, GM) said they were crap, but not me!"
  21. You're probably right about it being a chunk of ice. I haven't gone over to check it out yet today, but it's now sitting in the middle of their lawn. From what I heard, they seemed to have a good laugh about it before the left this morning.
  22. I made a small snowman tonight. Our neighbours go down to Florida every winter to avoid the snow and they looked like they were getting all packed up to leave tomorrow morning. Went down to the hockey arena and grabbed a couple bucketfuls of snow and brought it back. Made a little snowman on our driveway and carried it over and set it down on their front porch so that they will see it first thing in the morning. Hopefully it makes in through the night intact. It has a carrot nose that I'm hoping won't disappear. Thankfully it's dropped below zero so it shouldn't melt too much.
  23. Shouldn't be. Just make sure you put them in the right slots to keep them in dual channel mode.
  24. 1. 4GB of DDR2 will be better than 2GB of DDR3. There just isn't enough of a speed difference between them to make up for the difference in capacity. 2. Exact dates are hard to pin down, but if you had a model number it would be easy enough to tell what it supports. 3. For the most part the only limit would be the number of slots. Some boards can be a little unstable when overclocking with 4 sticks, but under normal circumstances you shouldn't have much of a problem. You can't mix DDR2 with DDR3 though.
