I laughed. First ZP to get me to do more than smile in quite some time. Loved the hoover sidekick. I've never actually used the code before, but it's somehow drilled itself into my brain.

You fool! It's not up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, a, b, start! It's up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A! Start isn't part of the code.

Snow is supposed to be all light and fluffy. This snow was not all light and fluffy. This several inches of snow was followed by an hour of light rain. I should have gone out before it stopped snowing... So tired now...

Molotov bearing humans are bad enough. I really, really don't want bots tossing molotovs. Grenades wouldn't be too bad though. You can't have your teammates take point, but if you stick close enough to them, you can always retreat through them as the zombies rush forwards. In singleplayer matches I tend to kill the most zombies, usually doubling up on the next highest bot, but I still manage to be near the bottom in damage taken because I use the bots as the meatshields that they are when hordes rush me. Also bots will take point if there are alerted zombies in sight. Shoot some zombies in the distance and your bots will go after them, possibly drawing out more zombies for them to shoot.

What the hell? You live like next door to me! SCARY. And if you didn't notice, he also joined the day after you did. I think mkreku has a stalker.

Sounds like the multiplayer match I was in last night. Tried three times to get through the subway in No Mercy on Expert each time we died horribly, twice to a tank that killed either three or all four of us. Fourth time through the other people stopped caring about friendly fire. Then there is the warning shots into the head that says, "Don't heal me, heal yourself."

I just had the wonderful experience of attempting to get Fallout 3 working on a couple different computers. This is by far the most crash prone game I have ever had the misfortune of attempting to play. I managed to get through the vault section on both systems only to then experience the damn thing CTD'ing on me once every 20 minutes on average. Fast traveling somewhere? Crash on arrival. Leave a building? Crash just after loading the new area. Just wandering the wilderness? Crash for no reason. Standing still shooting it out with some raiders? Crash again! The patch and official forums were no help at all. There were several things suggested, running in windowed mode, something about creative sound which I don't have, turning off AA, none of them worked. How did this pass QA?

Heh. Single-player only = easy mode if you are playing on anything below advanced. Advanced is still moderately easy, but expert is killer. Come to think of it, expert is killer even when you have four humans together. I just finished a couple rounds with a group that thought advanced was too easy. They were nuts. The only level where we didn't limp through to the end with half the group either dead or all of us with less than 10 health was the last stand on Dead Air. There were 8 deaths among the other three group members and I hit 1 health more times than I care to remember. They started over on expert and we actually made it to the hospital on No Mercy, but all four of us died just after exiting the sewers. The next time we somehow triggered the tank before getting to the gas station so it came through the building and murdered three of us. We decided to quit while we were ahead...

That must be a pretty small pay out, they've yet to lose at home and Columbus isn't a powerhouse. That said, they are probably going to lose because we have voiced our expectation. It's like talking to a goalie about a shutout before the game is over. You just don't do it. Nope, the Sharks are saving their loss for Edmonton:) And 2 points for you!

Just played a couple rounds of Left 4 Dead with Pop. Managed to pick up the Akimbo Assassin, Do Not Disturb, Stand Tall and Toll Collector achievements.

Interestingly enough the Star's AHL affiliate doesn't want him.

Quick question for you guys. What's the difference between having the princess save you and loading a checkpoint 30 seconds back?

That's really the key right there. Stupid school zone...

His suspension is only indefinite until he meets with Bettman. He'll miss tonight and tomorrow's game at a minimum, but after that it's a little unclear.

Just finished watching Montreal-Atlanta on TSN. That game was a lot closer than it should have been. Habs had their fourth goal disallowed because Lapierre was "interfering" with Johan Hedburg, but there was no penalty call, it looked more like Hedburg was holding Lapierre and Hedburg still got up and almost managed to make the save anyway. Later in the third period Atlanta was given a goal that IMO never crossed the line. It was damn close, but you couldn't see it across the line on any of the replays that TSN showed. Still doesn't excuse some of the sloppy play tonight.

Hah! Next time those jerks leave me behind like that I'm gonna shoot them and then run for the escape vehicle myself.

Gah! I just died on the run to the helicopter in No Mercy on easy! I died on Llyranor mode! The helicopter arrived and all four of us were at 90% health or better so we run from the landing pad. Just as we get there the zombies start to swarm around us. I stop to get rid of the worst of them so that the stupid AI will get on the copter instead of shooting and it worked quite well. They all jump on the copter and I'm literally in the air as I make the jump into the copter when a smoker grabs me and drags me off. What do my stupid AI teammates do? Do they jump out and come get me when the only thing out there is a smoker? No! The idiots just sit there in the helicopter while I'm dangling at the end of a smoker's tongue yelling at the damn screen as my health slowly ticks away. I lose all my health and the damn smoker drops me. This is the point where one of my team decides "Oh crap! Zoey is incapped! Maybe I should help?" and tries to come get me. By this time however the next wave of zombies has showed up and I'm doing my best to hold them off while Bill pulls me up, but I can only do so much from the ground. After the 5th time Bill gets me to 50% a tank rounds the corner, throws Bill off the edge of the building and them stomps me into the ground. Being knocked off the roof by a tank is one thing, but sitting there being constricted by a smoker for 30 seconds while he takes your health from 85 down to 0 and none of your AI team bothers to help you until after you're incapped? Augh!

I was paying attention. I was paying attention when the conservatives pulled those issues off the table, only after the opposition said they were forming a coalition. It wasn't about working with the other parties, it was about backpedaling on a stupid move, that they should have known would get the opposition up in arms, as fast as they possibly could.
-
Too many humans, not enough robots. If you want to have a large human cast, I better be able to see half of them get squished by the giant robots. Also, why the hell was Starscream loyal to Megatron?
-
Your vote did count. The Conservatives were given a minority government. That means they have to work with the other parties. When was the last time that the Harper government attempted to find solutions to the oppositions objections rather than declare the bill a confidence vote and play legislative chicken? Harper has failed in this vital aspect of governing a minority government and thus IMO no longer deserves to lead this country. EDIT: And it's only been the last three governments that were minorities. 2 conservative and a liberal before that. That only goes back to October 2004.

Jade Empire didn't receive much better support than Mass Effect has. IIRC it had one patch and if your problem wasn't fixed by that you were SOL. Two games doesn't really constitute a pattern, but I sure hope they do more with Dragon Age.
-
Could have sworn that I had already mentioned this, but I guess that was somewhere else. If the Harper government falls this time, there won't be another election right away. The Governor General will ask the Liberal/NDP coalition if they can form a government, they'll say yes and we'll have a new minority government.

I bumped it up to advanced. Health packs are definitely needed now. I was working my way through Death Toll before I decided to take a break. It's hard to quantify just how much more resilient the zombies are. On easy they would sometimes go down to one pistol hit, but never took more than two. Now they take at least two, sometimes as many as four before they drop for good. Hunters and Smokers are still really easy. I've never had a hunter pin me for more than half a second thanks to my team. Smokers have been more annoying, usually because they appear out of nowhere right after a fight. I still haven't played online with anyone else yet, mainly because everyone else has been playing on Advanced or Expert and I didn't feel I was quite ready for that. It's one thing to suck with a bunch of AI teammates. It's another thing to suck with a team of real people. Witches are a lot scarier now although I've managed to avoid have any of my team hurt by one so far. The first one must have hit some sort of AI glitch in the sewer. In the second level with the big cylindrical room with an ammo pile and the catwalk that circles the upper portion. We came in on the upper level and the witch was down below. I figured the witch was safely down below so I opened fire. Then it started climbing the ladder and I was all "OH CRAP!" It got to the top of the ladder ran about a quarter of the way around the catwalk and them jumped back to the lower level. I figured that one of my team must have hit it with a shotgun blast as it jumped and knocked it over the edge. Until it climbed the ladder and did it again. And again. The second witch was on the road in the church level. It was just before the house that you go through before getting to the church itself. I set it on fire with a molotov and just ran backwards while pumping lead into it until it died. Speaking of that house right before the church, I ran into a tank just after I left that house. I came out the back and was just about to start clearing out the mob of zombies that were just milling about when in comes the tank. That was the first time I had to fight a tank and zombies at the same time. My team mostly took care of the tank while I ran around trying to keep the zombies occupied and was doing quite a good job of it until the took me down. I finished off the last couple zombies from the ground just in time to see Zoey take down the tank. That's when I realized that Bill was dead, while Francis and I were both incapacitated. Zoey revived us both but none of us had any med kits left. Francis and I both popped some pain meds, but we didn't have any real health left while Zoey had about 30 real health and about 30 more temporary health. I figured we were totally screwed because the only thing left was the church fight. Bill showed up again in the graveyard thankfully and we just barely managed to survive the last fight after Bill got dragged through a huge mob of zombies by a smoker in the middle of the fight. None of us had more than 20 health, real or temporary, when we finally made it inside. EDIT: Also, I seem to be the only one in the thread that hasn't been infected with the Outbreak achievement yet. Take that losers!
