Supposedly there is a much lower limit on RAM depending on what version of Vista you are using. 8GB for Basic, 16GB for Premium, 128GB for everything else. I dunno if that's accurate, mainly because I don't know anyone who has more than 7GB of ram in their system.

I'm testing out the new autopilot in Audiosurf. It's not bad, but too many blocks can screw with it and make it go nuts. Other times it ignores the easy path in favour of swerving like a madman between huge clusters of blocks. Also, setting the thing to fullscreen on a 24" and sitting a foot away from the screen is hard on the eyes. It's difficult to focus far enough down the track to see what is coming up and still see the blocks that you are dodging right now.

We were some newbies who decided to do No Mercy on expert.. and it took us almost 2 hours to get to the roof, where we decided to give up.. I need to pratice some more. No Mercy is by far the hardest campaign. Mainly because two of the levels are both claustrophobic and very long. Also the horde events can be pretty bad because the spots they put you in have very little cover. And they love spawning tanks in those corridors where you have nowhere to run to get away from him. Also, the horde at the gas station lift always seems to last forever. Without fail, the AI director seems to love spawning a horde right after you defeat the initial one for activating the lift.

Yeah I have almost 4k views but I'm pretty sure two thirds of that is mods pming me about my many, many out of line posts. The other quarter is probably just random riff raff that patrol the boards amused by how awesome I am and expect to find a treasure trove of wonder but luckily for me they were sadly disappointed and they deserve it becuase the slug can't be bought and sold like some kind of commodity. I've done nothing all week. My little brother picked up a bug of some kind that had him feeling ill for a day or two over the weekend and the little jerk managed to pass it on to me. Whatever it is, it decided to hit me full force on Monday morning and has been going strong ever since. It's just completely sapped all my energy and it hasn't helped that I haven't been able to get more than 2 consecutive hours of sleep all week which has me feeling even more tired than I would be otherwise. I also have a stats assignment due this morning and a really basic Visual Basic program that has had the due date pushed back to Friday.

There is a spot on the No Mercy finale that is similar if it hasn't been removed yet. On the back of the tower that has the machine gun there is a very tiny ledge that you really should be able to get on to. It's probably about 10 feet off the ground so the regular zombies will just run around right below you. Occasionally drop down from above, but when they do that the momentum carries them almost off the edge of the building. I had a game with some guy that kept going back there every time we tried the finale. He was always the last one left alive, but hunters apparently know how to find the ledge.

Ow. My poor little Vexor just got blowed up and then I got pod killed. I was mission running in low sec space when after jumping through one gate I was immediately targeted by a group of about a dozen battlecruisers compared to me one little cruiser. At least I haven't sold my Frigate or Destroyer yet so those are still around for me to continue mission running in while I try to rebuild my finances. My insurance only covered half the value of my ship, but none of it's cargo or other equipment. I need another 1.7 million ISK just to replace the ship and probably about that much again to outfit it with some decent gear.

And that damn fence in the third level of dead air. Second hit I take during the movie and it's a tank incapped me with 80 health.

I think I had 38% accuracy on one of them. Don't remember which one though. Had a mid 20% headshot percentage though. Only 5 friendly fire in Death Toll, but 17 Dead Air. Totally wasn't my fault though when Phoenixz kept running in front of me. I swear I incapped him more than the zombies did.

Don't worry about not being able to get through expert in single player. It's a lot harder by yourself than it is with a couple competent friends.

I wonder about some of the day zero stuff. Here in town, torrents have been up for some games more that two weeks before they actually showed up anywhere. PoP was a week late, as was Dead Space. I seem to have the only copy of Mirror's Edge in town (haven't seen it anywhere since I picked up the sole copy from an EB on release) and even Red Alert 3 (which now has 50 copies in every store) had almost 2 weeks before you'd find more than maybe a single copy on the shelf. There's really no excuse for this. It's not like I'm out in the middle of nowhere, this is southern Ontario damnit! Where the hell are all the games? You want to limit piracy? Make sure they actually hit the shelves on release day! Also, where did all these copies of Total Annihilation that are floating around Future Shop come from? I already had the game, but I bought it again anyway because my copy didn't come with a box. No more Steam damnit!

These are my first in about 5-6 years now. Before that I went through a period where I had several almost every time I went to the dentist so I've got a crap load of fillings. I've actually got one that is about 60/40 tooth to filling. I recall my current dentist being taken aback when he first saw it and making some comment about being surprised how well it's held together. Never had a problem with pain except for when the dentist pokes the cavity with his sharp metal tools to illustrate where it is. Honestly, having to get up at 7am again was the worst part of the whole thing.
