A couple friends have recently started playing Borderlands for the first time so I jumped in with a new character to go through with them. Never used Brick before, but I have to say I'm starting to like rocket launchers more than I used to. Brick has been an absolute monster so far. Just running into the middle of large groups of enemies, soaking all the damage and then getting 4-5 second winds whenever he goes down because of the insane damage a triple rocket launcher will put out.

It's been a pretty horrible off season as a whole for Hockey with Boogaard, Rypien, Belak and now this.

I have Portal 1+2 currently installed, but I haven't noticed them updating much, if at all. I had 5 other games update just yesterday though.

I do that all the time. I walked around the BG1 maps from side to side, one screen width at a time until all the shroud was gone. It's worse in RTS games where you usually have a minimap staring at your the whole time making it harder to ignore.

You missed the metro tunnels? I don't understand this comment. It almost sounds like you think the metro tunnels were a positive feature rather than a negative. I've been playing around with Borderlands again with some friends and a little bit of Rollercoaster Tycoon on the side.

See, I negated that entire thing and got him with the typhoon. I can't believe everyone didn't see the a mile off. You know, I saw it, but I decided to do it anyways. It still worked out, made for an interesting fight. Same here actually. It was one of those things that I knew was going to come back and bite me in the ass later, but I still did it just to see what would happen. Boss fight was trivial. I stunlocked the boss in his little corner with frag mines. Took about 4 or 5 before he went down for good.

I went into that section with no energy, 29 combat rifle shots, 8 pistol shots and 10 tranq rounds. I didn't manage to save her. I could never take down the heavies fast enough to save her. The copter always blew within about 20 seconds.

I can't confirm or deny your second point, but I was testing out the conversation at the police station with and without the social aug and I definitely had different response to the same tactic in different attempts. Some may have just been because I had used a different tactic in the first choice, but the same one in the second, while others I definitely picked the same options. From what I can remember, there were at least a couple different lines that all more or less said the same thing, but with different inflections. One was more defiant while another was more sad and beaten. After 15 hours I'm just leaving Detroit. Having a lot of fun so far. I've mostly upgraded my hacking skills with a few points in extra battery cells and the ability to punch through walls. Favourite part so far has to be sneaking through the last story mission in Detroit. "Ghost"ing that section was a lot of fun, although I dunno if it's really ghosting if I stopped to talk to the two non-hostile guys there.

Haven't seen anyone but Gifted1 really look at this yet, but I have three copies left over from the Christmas sale that I still need to give away if there are any more people out there that might be interested.

It's been a several months since I've managed to finish a game. I currently have 5 games that I can think of on the go right now. Baldur's Gate, Duke Nukem Forever, Frozen Synapse, Icewind Dale and I just started a run of Command and Conquer 3. I relly should finish some of these before I start new ones.

Sitting here in the lecture room, an hour away from the last class of semester. I still have my legacy project to finish, but other than that, I'm done for the semester. It's weird though. The two classes that I've taken over the summer are supposed to be the capstone course for my degree and even though I've got another year to go in order to get my specialization thanks to pre-req troubles, it feels weird to almost be done these courses. I think it's "I'm almost done my degree. What the hell do I do now?!" that is starting to kick in.

Well, I dunno about 4 days, but I'll definitely have my PC copy 3 days before some people here. It's good to be North American.

I can confirm that this is not a trend that is limited to just Toronto sadly. I've taken to biking everywhere this summer instead. Just need to make sure that I bring enough water with me. I've somehow avoided getting burnt this year even without sunscreen which is an amazing achievement as far as I'm concerned.

No, you aren't the only one. I hate it when they do that. I always try to get the same cover style for any series I buy. It doesn't help that I have this set of covers.

Yes, yes you do. Currently 4-1 online. Should probably be 3-1-1 but the enemy rifleman apparently ignored his ignore order and stood around to get shot at on the last turn to give me the tie breaking kill. Only played against three people so far and three of those matches were against one person. Always nice to get props for making a veteran work for every kill he makes (and for going 2-1 against him ).
