  1. Why couldn't you just leave some excess stuff in the Bunker that starts the DLC, and come back for it later? I wasn't counting any of the stuff that you lose at the start of the DLC. Going back to check my save, I did leave some stuff behind when I looted the vault, but all I checked was weapons and armour. I kept one of each weapon, although in hindsight I really didn't need to. Also kept the Assassin Suit and a couple helmets. I could have picked up another 2 gold bars if I had thought to check my aid and ammo supplies. I had almost 50lbs of drinks and another 20 lbs of ammo that I wasn't going to use that could easily have been dropped. 45 hours into the game and I still hadn't started checking ammo and food weight.
  2. Should have taken the perk that allows you to fast travel even when over the weight limit. I only walked out with 3 gold bars. That was all that I could carry on my person without dropping anything else. Two to sell and one to keep as a souvenir.
  3. Nice! I remember watching that show with my dad when it first aired on TV. Only got through the first half dozen episodes before I stopped. Didn't get the rest of the series until I marathoned it over the summer thanks to Netflix. Awesome show.
  4. Went to see Montreal at Ottawa last night. Lots of Habs fans in attendance, mostly drowned out the Sens fans. The only thing both sides put aside their differences to cheer together for was when the out of town scores came up showing Toronto losing to Florida. Also, finally a Habs win! Anderson was playing terrible though. 4 goals on 7 shots.
  5. Still working on my second run of New Vegas. I've gone from 70 hours in the past 2 weeks according to steam. Currently level 47 and have just started on Lonesome Road. I've been working through the DLC and they've all been pretty good. Loved Joshua Graham in Honest Hearts, Dead Money was a tough one with the lack of ammo, Old World Blues had some amazing dialogue and Lonesome Road is starting well with ED-E and the Ulysses interactions. I've explored a lot more of the main map than I did in my first run. I think I completed the game on release at around level 23 in 46 hours. Missed a huge chunk of the game world including all of the vaults, 90% of the surrounding areas in Vegas, anywhere that had deathclaws and more. After finishing up the DLC I'll probably clear our Jacobstown and help out Rex before moving on to the end game. I know there is still stuff that I've missed, but I expect I'll hit the level cap before the end of the DLC and it'll be nice to get some sleep again. Having finished my exams made it far too easy to stay up all night playing.
  6. I had to go look up your stats because of this.
  7. You're on! I may not be able to touch your single game time, but I'll hold you off with the combined might of my games list!
  8. I have just under 180 hours more of total play time than just your TF2 stats. Here is the link for anyone else interested. Wasted on Steam
  9. Thanks Tig. It just that this group seems so much worse in comparison to the group I was in for my other class where everyone showed up to all the meetings, work was done on time and without complaint, and there was no insulting the capabilities of other group members. Why couldn't I have had that group in both classes? All 8 of us were taking both classes anyway.
  10. Fire the project manager I don't know what the project was about, but it sounds like a number of team members failed the "real life" test. Can't fire my fellow students as much as I may want to at times. "No offence, but I don't trust anyone else to work on my projects, so I just did all the work. If we could have chosen our groups I would have worked with person A, B and C." Explain to me why I'm not supposed to be offended when you've just stated that I can't be trusted to participate in my own project? The project is for my Training and Development class. Create a training program for one of the assigned topics and make a 30 minute presentation to the rest of the class to sell them on our service.
  11. Had a group meeting for one of my projects today. Only had half the group show up, another 3 were accounted for as having mentioned that they couldn't make it. Last three were nowhere to be found and as far as we know have done nothing to contribute to the project this far. However, to be fair most of the people that showed up today contributed nothing because two members of the group decided to get together yesterday without informing anyone and complete 90% of the project by themselves. I'm not sure how I feel about this. The project is almost done, but most of the group was completely cut out of the loop when it came time to actually do anything for the project. Not cool.
  12. Can you just buy Dungeon Siege (the first one)? That would be fantastic for when playing Lazarus or the Ultima 6 project (because the originals have problems in Win 7 when installing and some other problems). You can't buy them separately. EDIT: I swear that last post wasn't there when I was reading this thread, but the timestamp says it should have been.
  13. Try moving the mouse around. I seem to recall you needing to find the sweet spot for each of the rings before it would actually do anything.
  14. EA has had the same thing come up before so I wouldn't be surprised.
  15. What exactly is it (spoilerfree if possible) you think makes this one inferior to U2? It's all small stuff really, but they've done something to the aiming so it doesn't feel as responsive. I can't think of any big set piece areas that are comparable to what was shown off for UC2. Drake needs to have some sense slapped into him more than usual. Nothing big, but they are issues that I didn't have with 2.
  16. I've finally entered vault 22. Talk about "green house" effect As I see more folks talking about New Vegas, I'm more excited about the upcoming 'ultimate edition' or whatever they're calling it. I only purchased the one DLC and then didn't have time to play it, but now I intend to get the larger version and just plan a whole weekend to forgo sleep, sex, and society in order to play. Even with the amount of stuff that I missed on my first run of the game, I've been putting off my next run until I have all the DLC. I picked up the first three in Steam sales so hopefully there will be a nice black friday DLC sale where I can pick up Lonesome Road to complete my set so I can finally get to it. In games that I have been playing I've been getting a little bit of time in on Battlefield 3 although it's limited as I discovered that my computer just isn't fast enough. I'm only getting about 15-25FPS with the average closer to the lower end of that on my system with everything turned as low as it can go. Thankfully my brother has a computer that is completely unoccupied after 10pm and runs it flawlessly at 1680x1050 with everything on high. Also working my way through Uncharted 3. I'm only on chapter 12 or 13 so far, but if the game continues at it's current level I think Uncharted 2 keeps the top spot for best game in the series.
  17. That's a good idea not just to prevent anyone from stealing it, but because it makes it harder to be tempted by sales when it's not one click purchasing.
  18. No. I was going to try out Nitronic Rush for a little bit, but unfortunately something is going on with my gamepad. It seems like the batteries aren't making proper contact so I'm going to have to take it apart again and fiddle with it a little bit. Good excuse to give it a thorough cleaning too. Spilled some coke on it the other day and a couple of the buttons are sticking again. EDIT: Nitronic Rush is a FREE racing game. I'd like to stress once again that it is FREE
  19. Please forgive me, but this made me laugh out loud. It sucks, I know. I get you, but it's still funny. Hey, I live in town so it's a 10 minute drive up to class for me. Not a problem on my end, but I know several people in the class that commute from out of town that were pretty angry when they heard that the prof was out of town all week. Lots of grumbling about waste of gas on the way out of class.
  20. I discovered today that one of my professors doesn't think that it's worth informing her students that she will be away for a week and so none of her classes will be running. I'd have been royally pissed off if I was one of the people that commutes two hours to school for classes.
  21. Glad to hear some good news about Tarna! Had some issues with my internet connection over the past few days. Finally got fed up with the constant disconnects as they were getting to be more and more frequent so we called it in. Turns out their system was regularly trying to bump up our speed profile beyond what the line could handle which resulted in the whole connection dropping while it reset. They had someone cap our line at a lower speed so it wouldn't do that anymore, but somehow in the process they managed to completely kill our line so we went without internet yesterday. After another call to support internet was back up and running first thing this morning so yay! Also had a mid term for my Recruitment and Selection course today which actually wasn't as bad as I was predicting based on my past experiences with this professor. I'm cautiously optimistic about it for now. That and I've finally got a contact number for one of my group members. Only took me 2 weeks to get that. :/
  22. I've been working on my own over the past week or so as well as part of an assignment for my recruitment and selection class. Completely different format than what I'm used to which is impossible to keep to one page.
  23. One that targets all gaming websites. I bet it blocks all the fun parts of the internet.
  24. Damn.
  25. Augh! Must convince prof to stream Leafs v Habs during test tonight... Also, Price's new mask for tonight.
