Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy - Ch26 (Mae'Var)

Oh! Oh! TrueNeutral is the only one that survived the fight! Right?! :D -
Pretty sure there were infinite Krogan at one point in Grunt's recruitment mission (? might have been Mordin's loyalty mission) too, though I guess there would be some justification there given the backstory. That's the only other case I'm reasonably sure of though. Yes, it was in grunt's recruitment. There is a section just after talking to the one krogan outside where you will fight a stupid amount of krogan. If you advance quickly you'll only get 2 or 3 extras though.

It's really annoying that it does that. I'm pretty sure that Moxxi does that as well. I think at least Robolution does not, but I can't remember about Knoxx. It is very poorly set up having to activate the DLC by alt tabbing out of the game and trying to find that window. I think Knoxx doesn't require activation like that as I don't have a key for it unlike Zombie Island and Moxxi.

Aren't you dead when you get sniped after nova? That's how things would work in PvP, I imagine. What PvP? That's why you upgrade Nova to only take half of your shields instead of all of them.
-
Bah. Boring. I expected two gold headshots medals. Headshots are for infiltrators. Charge -> headshot while enemy stunned -> nova -> charge new target.
-
Yeah, I'm sure. Phantoms also have one. There's a special animation. Phantoms will skewer you with their sword. The Atlas picked my Krogan up and crushed him. Yup, those are the only two things that can kill a Vanguard mid charge/nova as well.

The one bright spot for Montreal this season is the almost record setting penalty kill. Currently sitting at 89.1667%, just behind the league record 99-00 Dallas Stars at 89.25%. If only our power play wasn't sitting in 29th at 13.7%. :/

That hardly seems fair. :/ Swap him over to a normal druid or one of the other kits maybe? -

At least he's only playing on Core rules. I'm pretty sure that place is actually impossible on insanity. Those werewolves spawn in groups of six and it's not possible to pick them off one at a time. Maybe if I could run down to grab that Quiver of Plenty +1 from Watcher's Keep. >_> -

Watch your step. -
Times Square is on the list. Tig needs to go find this camera. We demand live Tig streaming!

They still wear the stupid breather masks instead of proper helmets? Dammit! Oh well, at least Garrus and Tali have/had proper helmets.

Gorth died to the mirror fiend on the last level in Durlag's. He joins Sorophx and Nepenthe on their last lives. Current Party Death Count: Gorth, Nepenthe, Sorophx: 2 deaths TrueNeutral: 1 death Walsingham: No deaths Tale: Innumerable Next up is Pidesco and then we start back at the beginning! Soon I'll be back! And with BG2 spells! AHAHAHA! Too bad evil clerics get the terrible rebuke undead instead of being able to destroy them outright. -
Considering the multiplayer portion of the game had been rumoured to be in development since 2010 I really don't think that this is a last minute addition to the game. It's been in the works for awhile and last I heard the team responsible for the multi was actually based out of Bioware Montreal rather than Bioware Edmonton which has always been responsible for the single player portion of the game. I'm curious since I've seen this comment thrown out a lot lately. What Bioware games would you say were about choice? Yeah, many of their games have a couple big choices you can make at the conclusion of major quest lines, but I don't think a couple "do I kill you, or let you go" choices are enough to make the game about choice.

Where did you get these numbers? I've only heard that it sold a bout a million fewer copies. Everything I've been able to find suggests that it initially outsold DAO, but dropped off pretty quickly in comparison. Working on a final save of ME2 for import. I've got about half the loyalty missions finished so far and I still need to go through some of the DLC. Playing the demo so much has made ME2 kinda painful to play. Shepard moves so slowly when you can't run for more than 3 seconds. :/
-
Of course not. I bought the Retail CE.

Haven't unlocked one myself, but a couple of the people I play with have them. Krogan can headbang with the best of them, but they still have to walk across the map to get to the enemy. I'll grant you their superiority against Atlases, but that's it! Walking is for losers!

I never got around to playing a Vanguard in ME2. I spent most of my time with Soldiers and Infiltrators lining up headshots, but I had a match where the other three people were Vanguards and seeing everyone bounce around like crazy convinced me to try it out. Sentinel has been nerfed in the demo at least. Tech Armour is almost useless. You only get 30-40% damage reduction at maximum levels, the explosion is manually triggered and it hurts the cooldown for your other powers! Engineer is another good one for cautious players. Very power based and the drone is a good decoy. Linking it in to get the best ending could end up backfiring ? Either there really aren't that many people playing the game or there might be an issue with the match making. Searching for a game with any settings I have never once been placed in a game in progress. It's been pretty 50/50 between full lobbies and leader only lobbies where I'm pretty sure the other person has gone idle. I don't think linking the best ending to multi is going to backfire on them as they have repeatedly said it is possible to get the best ending without going online and from what I've seen the multi has been pretty well received even among those that were skeptical of the concept to begin with.

Just play Vanguard. Level charge to max and spam it. If at any point there is an enemy on screen and you aren't using charge, you are doing it wrong.

Best part of trade deadline day is Jay Onrait's tradecenter blog. I think Nash is going to stay where he is for now. I don't see many teams being willing to deal what Columbus will want right now. Maybe during the summer though.

I've been enjoying it quite a bit. I've got a group of about 5 or 6 people together that seem pretty interested in playing the full thing once the game is actually released so I'll probably be playing it for a little while at least. Can't say that I was really all the interested in it before the demo, but it's managed to be a lot of fun. Especially with Vanguards. I've been thinking about putting it off now so that I don't burn myself out on it before release but Majek still has a higher N7 rating than me dammit. >_>

I quite liked the story-related mako missions (and Bring Down the Sky). It was certainly better than that abortion, Hammerhead. In fact, just writing "hammerhead" makes me wince. Again. The only problem with the Hammerhead was that claiming it had paper thin armour is insulting to paper. I wasn't a huge fan of the homing missles either, but it was the only way to make sure you didn't get blown up when piloting the thing. Controls were pretty good though. The story missions for the mako were fine because those were the ones that didn't have any weird 90 degree cliffs that you had to climb inch by agonizing inch.

Hey guys look! The mako is back! :D
