But... the layout of the fortress is all wrong in that image. The keep should be just behind the gatehouse not way off to the side. BG in name only!

I find it interesting that if the average donation amounts held up, they were banking about $70 per backer which is more than a standard retail game. Probably due to a combination of having a lot of stuff to show off and the complete lack of anything comparable on the market. What else have space sim fans had recently? Black Prophecy? Meh.

Well of course you would say that considering everyone is an Eldar alt. >_>

What are you playing now - the plays the thing

Don't bother patching the game and play as an arcane warrior. Activate all the sustained spells you can and just wade into combat. That was so much more fun before they made all those defensive spells drain mana with every hit. -
Got back from Skyfall about an hour ago. Great movie. Opening sequence was pretty good, but Casino Royale is still the best. Dench was fantastic as was Bardem.

Would that be the original Zone of the Enders for the PS2 polished up for ps3 or something else? It's ZOE 1 and 2 for the PS3, yes. Sadly, ZOE 2 is reported to have FPS drops. Which version did you get? The Xbox one is supposed to be better than PS3. Still not perfect though. -
I've never had a problem with running out of weapon fragments for construction. It's those late game research projects than need 50-75 fragments each that rapidly deplete my stock. Also, I much prefer using supports for my stunning duties. They have an easier time closing with the enemy than assaults do thanks to the three space movement bonus from sprinter. And you aren't going to have a support pop up and accidentally blow the head off the enemy you are trying to capture because it moved just a little too close before you could stun it.

Hurray, Conner is now an Assassin! Here, have another 3 hours of new game concepts! It just drags on forever. -
The more satellites you have operational, the greater your monthly income. They also reduce panic levels, which is nice. They also prevent abduction missions in the territories that you have covered.

Try Sequence?

He should show up every time. I remember fighting him in my PT1.

And then someone decided to change the spell effect it gave off so that you couldn't see anything.

Chaotic Commands. Learn it. Use it. Love it. 1 turn/level of protection for one character from any and all mind affecting effects. Sure it'll suck up all your level 5 cleric spell slots, but it's worth it.

That doesn't count and you know it!

Plasma weapons are as much of a jump from laser, as laser is from the starter weapons.

Wow...ok that is just crazy. I find that when players are having "easy" fights with what are supposed to be monsters challenging for their current level, the DM is to blame for forgetting that these monsters aren't simply HP and AC sacks that swing wildly at the player now and again. Dragons should never be easy fights, ever. You can take this same concept and apply it to anything. Tucker's Kobolds anyone?

It wasn't just the distribution of the codes. Sure that might have been a problem, but the much bigger issue was that it wasn't limited in any way. The fact that it applied to everything in your cart, rather than a single item was the real issue.

I don't think that's what he's talking about in this case. There is another thing going on where sometimes enemies will suddenly appear in or near your group and then scamper as though they've just been detected. I think that is the issue that mrmud was referring to. Not that it really helps you deal with it, but I had someone give me a theory for why it might happen. Not all enemy groups move the same way. I think it has to do with proximity to your troopers, but some enemy patrols will teleport to their next location instead of walking there. Usually this only happens when they are under fog of war, but sometimes you can still see their outlines through the fog. The idea is that the groups that appear in your midst are one of these patrol groups that for whatever reason teleported to their next patrol point rather than walking.

Not until after I get Avellone's high school RPG!

I've been playing Xcom on ironman and having a lot of fun doing that, but in that instance, it's typically only a 5 hours or so that I lose when things go bad compared to a game like PE which I expect will be considerably longer. I'll play ironman at some point, but I'll likely stick with the Normal/Hard and Expert/PathoftheDamned to start with.

I believe someone mentioned on stream that a good example would be the "commentary nodes" that Valve uses in their game that trigger an audio log for a developer to talk about the reasons why they did something specific in that area, the challenges they faced, or just bring your attention to something that might not have been obvious at first glance, but was something they felt was important to the scene. And yes, it does break the 4th wall. It's not typically something that is on by default. It would be an additional setting that you could turn on or off at the start of a game.

2 snipers + Double Tap + plasma sniper rifle = I win mode. Bingo. :D I had that exact thing happen to me last night while talking with Allan. I shot the Berserker 3 times, but he still had 4hp left. So I had my support, which was standing right beside the assault with the arc thrower, fire off a shot with his pistol. Took it down to 2hp and triggered the move and as soon as the close combat animation started to play I yelled at him "No you fool! I wanted him alive!" Shotgun to the face for 7 damage crit.

I like to roll with 2 snipers. In my first run the rest of my squad was typically 2 support, 1 assault, 1 heavy. In my current run I've been much more experimental with squad composition. I only have 5 slots open right now, and with two taken up with snipers, I've swapped around the other three. If I plan on capturing anything, 3 supports. If everything is going to die, then 3 heavies.

I've come really close to losing people and countries, but pulled everything off so far. I have 4 countries at 5 panic right now with 2 more at 4 panic. On the bright side, I have 5 sats ready to go and a terror mission to finish off.
