You haven't lived until you've killed an enemy patrol using nothing but a turtle.

Just plain RA2 or Yuri's Revenge? Prism tanks everywhere!

...and the new patch is here with the quote headers! Excellent! Much better now.

I find great amusement in the fact that Patrice Déselit left Ubisoft for THQ, only to have THQ go under and his team bought back by Ubisoft.

Apparently South Park is going to Ubisoft. I really hope we can avoid uplay for this.

I'm pretty sure i remember changing buttons manually in one of the files. Or maybe you should google it. Yup. Keybindings are kept in buttonmap.cfg. You can go in and manually change them.

Trying to finish up Outland. I got back into it thinks to a Tsilon challenge around Christmas and I've been playing it off and on since then. Mostly in 15 minute bursts. I'm on the final world area. Having enemies switch affinity on you in the middle of a combo is really annoying, especially when it allows them to survive long enough to counter attack you.

and all through the thread, not a poster was stirring.

It's still functional when looking at the reply box, but it's more annoying to use. The quote box below this message is totally invisible when creating a reply in Firefox. If you are going for WYSIWYG in the reply box, could we get the quote labels added in so that we can see who wrote what message. It's not a problem when only quoting one person, but with nested quotes or multi-quotes I'd rather not have to scroll back or or hit the back button in order to figure who said what.

I seem to be on Firefox 18.0 (although it says it's "applying update" right now haha). Let me restart.... EDIT: Still no dice Chicago. 18.0.1 and I just see the text tabbed :S The boxes definitely work in Internet Explorer (wow looks schnazzy!) Although, in retrospect, my Firefox at work has been a bit wonky.... I'll confirm if I am having the issues when I get home. I have the same issue. Also using Firefox 18.0.1 here. Was wondering what was going on with the quote boxes the other day.

Only to double check my spelling. I had Thaxil'ssilyia. Nizidramanii'yt is the one that I can never remember right.

You have trouble remembering "Thaxll'ssillyia"? It's not that hard.

Agreed. The problem for Gomez is that his finishing ability completely dried up. He was a good possession player and had no problem lugging the puck into the offensive zone, but then had trouble once it was there. He actually produced more scoring chances than anyone other than Desharnais, Cole and Pacioretty, but just couldn't make anything happen with them. NHL and the PA have agreed to an "accelerated buyout". Teams can buyout a player before this season, but would be on the hook for the full salary rather than 2/3rds. Gomez and Redden have already been waived in preparation for being bought out, so they'll have a chance to play this year.
-
It could certainly be better, but like I said, what they need is a 1C, not another 3C or 4C. Gomez is not that player. Neither is Nokelainen. He's terrible. Dunno why they signed him instead of bringing Halpern back for another year.
-
Yup. Gomez will still count against the cap for Montreal this year.
-
They are more desperate to get his contract off the books for when the cap goes down next year. If there was any chance of him playing this year, he would be on the team to start the year. They aren't going to risk him getting hurt and preventing the buyout. With the exception of a high end 1C, center is not a position that Montreal is hurting for. Desharnais and Plekanec can handle 1C time, Eller can handle 2C. Beyond that you have White, Nokelainen, Leblanc and Galchenyuk. The only center position they would have trouble filling, would be one that Gomez wouldn't be able to handle anyway.
-
They won't call him up, even if they have injuries. That would defeat the purpose of having him sit out in the first place.
-
Scott Gomez told he won't be playing this year. I have mixed feelings about this. His contract was really based off of his one really productive year and he was never going to be able to live up to that. His drop in offensive production after his first year in Montreal just made the situation even worse and with the cap going down you really can't afford to spend 7.3 million in cap hit on someone that would be receiving 3rd line minutes at most. That said, he was by all accounts a great team guy. I don't recall once hearing anyone except the fans complain about him and that was solely down to his production. He's still an NHL caliber player and even if his stats weren't great, the Habs were a worse team without him when he sat out with injuries last year. If we could somehow get him back on the team with a more appropriate contract, I'd go for it, but I believe you are prohibited from buying out players and then immediately signing them to a new contract. I understand why they are having him not play this year. You can't buy out injured players and based on his last season with his groin and concussion problems it isn't to hard to see something happening again this season with the compressed schedule. It's purely a business decision. :/

The wheel on the door is the big one that I never found a way around. You don't actually have to take down a blue to get the servers. If you run around the perimeter of the room, the blues will take out the servers while trying to hit you. I think it's possible to get past the MG trooper on the catwalk without taking him down, but it's much more difficult. I remember one pipe climb that was in an area with 3 of the PK guards that was possible to get around. There was an AC duct on the left side of the building that you could run up, twist, jump and climb up a short pipe that would let you get to the top without getting shot to hell. It's tough to recall, because it's fairly easy to get through without killing anyone and I think I'm mixing up a lot of "I can do that without killing" and "I can do that without combat" areas. I think I remembered another one. There is a section where a blue will pop out from behind a corner of the building and you can kick him off the edge of the scaffolding so that he'll fall down to the ground. I don't think you can get past him without fighting. There just isn't any room.
-
If you haven't tried them yet, look into the time trials. They've got some excellent stuff there that's more demanding of your execution than the main game is. Since you've just gone through the game, do you remember how many times you actually have to take someone down? I can't remember how many enemies you have to interact with. I remember two required fights and three or four more that I think you can do without fighting, but become much easier if you take down a guard.
