  1. My copy of Mario and Luigi Dream Team arrived yesterday though I haven't had much chance to really dive into it yet. Only played 30 minutes so far. The 3D is pretty meh so I'm thinking I'll probably leave it off for this game. We'll see how it goes.
  2. Damn. Saw this thread from the forum index and before even opening it I knew what it was going to be. RIP Tarna.
  3. I forbid you to ever give me your cards! I would never accept cards from YOU! I've already tried that tactic. He's immune to reverse psychology. He does this just to taunt me with his inventory of cards. Wait a minute... he has extra sleeping dogs cards! He's been trading with someone! D:
  4. Let's just say that all those small profits add up. I've made something like $25 on these eager anonymous card collectors, and tomorrow, I'll get my beloved Brigmore Witches for free. Thank you, Steam benefactors! You've been good to me. I've gotten a bunch of free cards from other people but I haven't sold anything. I've been hoarding or trading them with other people. I've been trying to collect enough System Shock 2 cards to get the level 5 badge so the more different cards I get from people, the more trade fodder I have for when I find someone with the cards I want.
  5. Provided you already have Steamguard enabled all you have to do is right click on one of your contacts in the friends list and then click "invite to trade". A notification will show up for the target of the trade and when it's accepted a new window will pop up for the trade itself which is just drag and drop. If you don't want your cards I will happily take them off your hands. I'm also willing to extend my generous offer of accepting unwanted cards to anyone else that has cards that they don't want. :D
  6. 72?! I still haven't hit 50 yet! My highest level character is only a 45 commando. Finally beat my original game of Dungeon Siege 3 so I can remove it from the backlog. I ended up backtracking 4 hours or so to an older save because I couldn't beat the the first endgame boss fight. Reloaded before going to the spire and went through the DLC first. Got some really nice loot which made the endgame much, much easier. Was kind of annoying beating the DLC final boss and then having my armour appearance glitch so instead of showing the top tier flame armour for Anjali I was walking around with the flame helmet, arm, legs and the second tier breastplate. Looked weird. Not sure what will be next. Mario & Luigi Dream Team will be coming in next week, but I'll need something to play in the mean time. Debating whether I want to finish something I've already started, or try something new.
  7. I'm torturing myself by trying to finish my Dungeon Siege 3 run on the hardest difficulty again.
  8. The package they sell on Steam has episodes 1-5. For some reason if you browse the specials it is listed with the price for the full Quake Con pack, but the actual page for the bundle had the correct $1.24 price tag. Kinda weird. Commander Keen is one of the first games I remember ever playing. I still have my 5.25" floppy disk copy of Goodbye Galaxy in the closet.
  9. Hubs has over 160k hit points now, I think, so it takes half to a full clip at this point if he's almost empty. And if he stands still. Darn hard to heal in mid-combat, too, when he's dancing around like MJ doing a fast moonwalk. How well does rocket launcher splash damage work with Siren healing?
  10. One of my friends that I originally played through Borderlands 1 with swapped over to the 360 for Borderlands 2 sadly, but he picked up the game again on Steam during the last sale. I hopped on with him and some other guy I didn't know as a brand new character. Trying out the Mechromancer this time since Krieg was already taken. Haven't really got much to say about her yet as I've only got 5 skill points so far and pretty terrible weapons, but I'm liking the character herself. She has some amusing sayings and it's nice to hear something other than Axton talking about his turret all the time from my other character. :D Also started up Zone of the Enders 2 yesterday as well. Enemies hit back in this one! I can't just spam the basic attack over and over without taking damage. Have to actually pay attention to what I'm doing now.
  11. I beat Zone of the Enders this afternoon. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The combat was too simple to be really interesting. The rescue missions where you had something objective other than just killing all the enemies were the best ones. Trying to minimize civilian casualties and collateral damage required a little extra work. With the way the story "ends" though it fels like it's only half a game. You get through the first act and BAM it's over.
  12. Zone of the Enders 2 HD recently got an update patch on PS3 to fix the shoddy porting job so I figured it was about time to break the collection out and start playing those. I started with the first game. Only about an hour or two in so far though.
  13. If I was going to do that, would I have stopped at just one game?
  14. Path of Nightmares?! What is this nonsense. Path of Silence is the one true path. In and out without anybody knowing you were there because being able to run without alerting everyone on the map to your location is the best ability. Sadly I played before the had leaderboard support on PC so I don't have any scores up.
  15. That's actually more reason to go wireless, a lot of crap with a lot of wires in close proximity is a recipe for trouble and indestructible knots. I don't know what kind of messy computer setup you have, but practically all the wires have always come out the back of all my tower setups (not to mention they're neatly zip-tied to avoid a mess) and the only wires coming out the front are whatever is plugged into USB ports, which 90% of the time is just my controller. The only wires that come anywhere near my controller wire are the keyboard and trackball wires, but those are neatly funneled through the sliding drawer so there's no chance of tangling with the controller wire. Yeah, even when I had everything wired, I never had a problem with wires getting tangled with each other. My desk was usually a mess so the mouse cable would get caught on everything else on the desk.
  16. My husband would like to differ with you. The whole purpose of the wireless PC controller is precisely so he can play a PC game on the big-screen TV whilst sitting with his feet up in the recliner with a cat on his lap and a beer on an endtable. Of course, he's not "most people." I sit 3 feet away from my tower at my desk and still have all of my peripherals wireless. I just don't like having to deal with cords. They're annoying.
  17. Sorry, the only information I have is that the ad was running on Neogaf around a month ago. I haven't seen it in awhile. I talked a little bit with Calax about it on Steam.
  18. Gee, I wonder if they are related to Imperium: Galactic War? Must have just changed their name. They also had the space marine one, but I don't have a picture of that one. For those that don't recognize the second image, it's a Terran Medic fan art image from Starcraft 2.
  19. 32 new games with Steam trading cards today. Sadly I only have 2 of them so only a few new cards for me. 20. Can't say it really bothers me. It usually pops up for a few seconds and then it's gone. Supposedly the version check is part of the directx installer and not something steam can do on it's own. That and it's checking to make sure all the little pieces parts that that specific game requires are installed and the newer ones aren't backwards compatible for games built using older versions.
  21. Mark of the Ninja is the only game I have played where I collected all the achievements.
  22. The last day of the sale is always a recap day. You know La Mulana and Of Orcs and Men are both on sale right? They have been for the whole sale. They're 50% off right now. They just haven't gone on a daily deal for 75% off or whatever. There are a lot more games on sale than just the daily specials that you see on the main page every day. Take a look. Yeah I know that, but I'm not giving in and buying at 50% off, it's 75% off or go screw yourself, GabeN. Okay. Just making sure.

  24. It's all cosmetic. Before the sale you could earn game discount coupons instead of the summer sale cards you currently get, but I haven't seen anything that was comparable to the steam sale prices so how useful that is may vary.
  25. http://www.polygon.com/2013/7/20/4540210/borderlands-2-dlc-ultimate-vault-hunter-upgrade-pack-2-new-level-cap I'm sure LadyCrimson will be thrilled. More inventory space!
