  1. There were people trying to figure out how the saves and the MP would work in DS3 for a long time. Plenty of people spoke up about perceived issues with MP long before the demo ever got released. Obsidian dodged questions about the mechanics of the game over and over. The writing was on the wall. Now the game is out and the camera, tethered MP, lack of persistent character saves is just generating negative feedback from fans and critics all over the internet.
  2. I was joking around ... gosh ... I mean, come on!
  3. People on separate consoles or PC's should have their own screen. PERIOD. The only time gamers should share a screen is if they are sharing a machine.
  4. I stand by things I sell to people. If they aren't happy with what I sell, I take it back. I was joking about the devs paying back out of pocket lol but Sega SHOULD refund people's money if they aren't happy with their purchase.
  5. Sacred 2? Nope multiplayer you shared a co-op screen. ie. not split screen. I know for offline multiplayer you shared one screen.. but online I am not sure about. BULLSNAPS BIG BIG BS. The only time you share a screen is when you are playing two players from one console. Any other multiplayer each gamer gets their own screen, that is for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Too Human. Each player gets their own screen.
  6. I'm glad you love the game so much! I don't know about best game ever myself, but it sure beats the **** out of the originals! LOL. Average title that doesn't try to do anything more than play it safe.
  7. This game is a modern day legend taking the ARPG community by storm. Probably the best game ever made. That's the focus of the game! Being the best.
  8. The Obsidian Defense Squad are big giant cheerleaders for streamlining, those 6 hour RPG's will be loved around here. Longer story? "Not the focus of the game" It felt like it was over too fast "Not the focus of the game" I can't choose what abilities to level up? "The game does it for you to keep your character in line with the lore of the awesome story and Obsidian dialogue, the focus of the game is to have your character be what the developers want at any time so you can fit in with the story better. " I kind of want a more in depth experience ... "Not the focus of the game!"
  9. Obsidian developers should refund your money from their personal funds. It's the honorable thing to do.
  10. I'm guessing real patching is probably not going to happen ... couple quick fixes. Things working as intended though most likely will not be changed ...
  11. NONE of this stuff is acceptable for consoles. There are PSP titles with more robust character ssystems and more features for MP than DS3. THIS IS NOT AN ISSUE OF CONSOLES. There are PSP games that don't have a shared screen in multiuplayer, don't give the host all the loot/gold in MP, and that allow for persistent character saves. PSP GAMES! The consoles are NOT the mother****ing limitation here.
  12. EDIT: NM finger pointing game. Divinity Series is great. Dungeon Siege 3 is an instant classic as evidenced by the reviews and sales. A new classic in the ARPG genre is taking fans of looting and character building games by storm.
  13. The most successful title in modern history, an instant classic!
  14. Dark Alliance 2 has much more features and replay value than DS3. So it's the streamlined spiritual successor? Not to mention shouldn't this game feel like the successor to DS1 and 2? Oh wait "NOT THE FOCUS OF THE GAME!"
  15. People on separate PC's or separate consoles shoud have THEIR OWN SCREEN. This shouldn't even be a discussion and this game should not have been released with a tethered camera. All this is is doing is hurting Obsidian through word of mouth all around the net. Not cool.
  16. That lack of "specific content that would make persistent play valuable" is also a big problem. Some may not see it as such but for some that lack of content and lack of gameplay options is a massive negative.
  17. The OP took his time to write out a response based on his opinions of the game. His post is infinitely more valuable than yours.
  18. My argument would be that not having persistent character saves takes away alot of the fun for me.
  19. That's all people say? I'll leave the verdict on that up to the people. I can name way more things than the distance of the camera from the ground wrong with MP. That's not all people say, that's all they say that's a valid criticism of the multiplayer beyond I want this game to be Sacred 2/Diablo/Dungeon Siege. You might as well argue that because MMORPGs are huge successes, all RPGs must have the similar multiplayer focus. This is absolutley disnengenous and intellectual dishonest comment.
  20. Icewind Dale is a major step up from this title but I'm sure someone could draw similarities. My issue with such comparison is that Icewind Dale is a feature rich title that provided value to the gamer and didn't trreat the audience like morons.
  21. That's all people say? I'll leave the verdict on that up to the people. I can name way more things than the distance of the camera from the ground wrong with MP.
  22. The MP is super gimp ... el gimptastico streamlinifico. Shared screen on separate consoles or separate PC's is inexcusable.
  23. AP is an ok title in some ways and an amazing title in others. Overall very cool and fun to play ... Some people diss the main character but I like Mike Thorton.
  24. I don't think anyone really looks at it as an achievement. Nobody WANTS the MP to be super gimped ... the people complaining want the game to be better. rafoca is just being pragmatic ... most people don't read forums and as such have no idea about the real mechanics of the game. They probably just see Dungeon Siege and think ARPG similar to the other ones. That's a pretty natural assumption unless the agme comes with abig fat sticker with a disclaimer on it. Some people are going to feel suckered.
  25. Console games don't have to be this streamlined though. If the OP is talking purely graphics then yes consoles are getting very far behind PC now ... but the engines should be more scalable then so the very high end is satisfying for PC gamers.
