  1. Seriously right back at you. Little details like this greatly increase the replayability and stuff like this is in dozens of games, hell, it's even in STALKER: The Shadow of Chernobyl and some other FPS games. Admittedly, it would be a nice little touch. But it doesn't affect me wanting to replay a game. STALKER! I love that game!
  2. Agreed. I'm at 14 hours and i'm not finished yet. I also agree with what you said about DS4. Obsidian had my confidence with FO:NV, one of my all time favorite games to play. DS3 has cemented them as a good developer in my book. I look forward to future products from them. In the mean time, my mind is just spinning with DLC possibilities for this game. I'll likely suffer a stroke when they announce it (okay maybe not a stroke, but i'll be excited ) DS4 - if it happens - will rock the house, y'all. The waiting for DLC is killing me too. I've just finished it, so I'm really wanting some more. I'm so RPG hungry right now I just bought Sacred 2!
  3. Did you ever get around to playing it for longer than the first mission outside the tutorial yet? Unless my memory is foggy, you gave up on it at or just after Saudi, without actually getting to the meat and potatoes of the game (ie. the main bulk of the game, and where the choices actually show). To be fair, if AP hasn't got your attention by the end of Saudi, you can be pretty sure it's not your kind of game.
  4. Fair enough. I like it. That might have something to do with picking it up for
  5. I'm pretty sure that comes as standard with a lot of games, DLC planned or not. It could just be a mechanic to get the pre-order special items. Very true. This game is ripe for DLC though. It's an excellent canvas for pretty much whatever they wanted to do with it. This combat system and these characters could easily fit into several game modes. It has potential to have some great DLC, and the forums are brimming with ideas for this. Fingers crossed. If not, I'll just come back and play through it again when it's not so fresh in my memory. Could even rob an idea from FEAR 3 with their game mode "F**king RUN!". You're chased by a wall of death and forced to advance quickly through waves of enemies. If any character hits the wall, you lose. If any character is downed, and then killed, you lose. Very very intense and would actually fit in DS3 even though Fear 3 is a FPS. Its the theory I like. If I was wealthy beyond measure, i'd personally fund Obsidian to make a Last Stand mode. I know I sound like a broken record on that issue, but its because when I think about the potential there I get giddy with excitement. I'm really hoping for that too. An arena would be great. It's all about the replayability.
  6. I have never seen that... There are a ton of details in the game that make it obvious that it was built for console and ported to PC where it should have really been done the other way around. But then you would have had a ton of bugs and issues with the console versions, so someone is always going to have a problem depending on what system they have.
  7. I knew I shouldn't have set that krug free. I wish I had the option! (Bug)

  9. That's a matter of opinion, though. Obviously some people liked it due to the 700K sales. Personally, I really enjoyed AP. It had it's faults but it also had some nice ideas too. Well written dialogue and a very good story imo.
  10. Definitely no argument there. DS3 would have felt strange to me if I had played it on the PC too. My PC, my gamepad, and my big screen TV take issue with that. Oh, and actually, I've found I prefer to play Dungeon Siege 3 with a controller on my monitor when playing alone. Only on co-op do I prefer to switch to the TV. Okay, let me rephrase that. DS3 would have felt strange to me if I wasn't playing with a gamepad.
  11. Alpha Protocol didn't have a sequel because Sega didn't allow it, they have the rights for it as far as I know. Another publisher could have seen that there was something fresh in the design and the cult following would have at least got some DLC. There's an Obsidian interview knocking around somewhere that says Sega didn't want AP2 or further support for AP, but that's not to say that the mechanics that made it such a hidden gem wouldn't find their way into another IP of a different name...

  13. Could be worse. You could have gone to work without any trousers on.
