  1. Hmm...maybe instead of justifying spending $750 on a computer game...how about $750 for fine original artwork, with a video game kicked in? ...wish I had that type of disposable income....
  2. Great Grandma Gontkarski blesses me with with riches! Best game in a long, long time.
  3. I don't know how we could possibly not agree with MC?
  4. In the camp of IE style. Shared XP only for present party members.
  5. Obsidian will be implementing group formations and tactical mechanics akin to the IE games, and IWD specifically. Additionally, based on comments by Bobby Null, they will be playing around with some ideas to expand on it. Thankfully, combat won't be anything like tactically deficient NWN or DA, let alone the a-RPGs
  6. They have worked together in the past Plus, the vision and leadership of the game seems to reside with Sawyer and Adam Brenneke.
  7. Lolz. This will never get old. Putting on repeat!
  8. It's a small but definitely elite team. Heavy hitters in this lineup.
  9. Weightless coins. Gold > Silver > Copper Universal currency Dragon Age actually got this aspect right.
  10. BG-like. Each level up should feel special and significant. NPCs also level independently from each other and are assigned shares from the XP awards.
  11. I'll be happy if the manual includes some recipes from Tim Cain.
  12. King of Dragon Pass on the iOS. It's a superb (and superior) port of the original. It's a turnbased strategy game that akes place in the Glorantha/Runequest setting. Basically, you role play the part of a barbarian clan chieftan and you try to forge a tribe out of the neighboring clans and eventually form a kingdom. The music and art is surprisingly very good, especially for an indie game, and the C&C are as good or better than any AAA game out there. Can't believe I missed it the first time it came out.
  13. Will the XP come in multiple copies? Say your reward tier includes multiple downloads of the main game, would the same apply to the XP?
  14. Let's make all health potions highly addictive. It makes sense...for one thing, I imagine they are effective at numbing pain...they give you bursts of renewed energy, and they make you feel good. Take a page out of Fallout, like the super stimpacks.
  15. Too bad GOG doesn't offer a manual reprinting service. There's something to be said about having a tangible old school game manual.
  16. This is one of the games that I pre-ordered a while back that I forgot I actually pre-ordered.
  17. I wonder when someone is gonna make a kickstarter taking advantage of the nostalgia for the classic Total War games (pre-RTW)? -Board game style turn-based strategy -2D background + terrain + animated sprites for tactical component
  18. That entire quote is my exact same sentiment.
  19. I may have to try out the PC version too. I wonder how seamless the save files are when switching from iPad and PC.
  20. PS For the noobs.... Never refer Jefferson/The Black Hound as BG3. Especially not within earshot of Sawyer.
  21. Jefferson and Van Buren. Salut.
