The Golden Age is the best place for ridiculousness. Marvel has a super-speed character who got super-speed because, while in Africa he was bitten by a cobra and was given a transfusion of mongoose blood(!) which countered the cobra venom(!!) and saved his life, while also giving him super-speed(!!!) He then donned a bright yellow & blue costume(!!!!) and fought crime as The Whizzer (!!!!!) I like Momoa too, so I'd like him to get a vehicle that works for him. It sucks that Conan tanked, because he was a great Conan. He was pretty much everyone's top choice to play Namor too, so I guess that was the inspiration for grabbing him as Aquaman.

WHAT I'll.....I'll see myself out.

The CG was fantastic too. Not something one normally says about a TV show.
-
I honestly don't get all the hate Aquaman gets. Sure he had a lame cartoon 40 years ago, but can we get over it already? Dude has been awesome for decades now.
-
So Zack Snyder showed off the first picture of Khal Drogo with a trident. Sorry its so large, I don't know how to resize it in the post. He looks cool, but he's not Aquaman. Poseidon maybe, but not Aquaman. Frankly I find the design

Evidence has been mounting, but its now official. You are my favorite person on this forum.

Its amazing how similar these arguments are to the ones around Gamergate.

What has traditionally been described as feminism isn't a bad thing. The term has been poisoned by the awful people who use it to describe themselves though. People associate the man hating my way or you're an awful person who doesn't deserve to live type people with the term now. When someone says feminist that's the kind of people that come to mind. When people like Sommers has to describe herself as an "equity feminist" so she isn't associated with the more common interpretation it says something about the perception.

I'm just not a fan of the post modernist view of feelz before realz.
-
Feminism started becoming a joke when it started being more about Disney Princesses and Boob Plate instead of women's rights. Its also experiencing the same backlash the labour movement is going through, where everything important has already been won and people are starting to see the battles they choose to fightas grasping at power rather than anything really important.

The whole 3 page sequence where Titania surrenders because femThor is a woman is just awful. -

Well its starting to backfire now. The SVU episode has caused a backlash against the gaming press amongst major developers now, with high ups in Blizzard and Ubisoft coming out in favor now. It just seems like just a matter of time before the support leads to a spillover into the mainstream media. Source? No one's coming out in favor per se, but a WoW slammed games media and Ethan James Petty has been calling out the bull **** narrative for a while. I also sent a girl the Valentine's image I posted earlier. Yeah, Mark Kern was the specific dev from WoW. And yeah, they may not have come out explicitly for gamergate, but they're calling out the same people for the same reasons, so it counts. -

Dunno, she's making 12k (?) on patreon per month. If I were on 144k USD p/a because of some twitter warrioring I wouldn't care even slightly if I came off as nutty as squirrel poo. If it is madness, yet there is method to it- to paraphrase Polonius. Yeah, it really doesn't matter at all if she's trans, even less so than that Milo's gay. It's far more important that she's done some distinctly questionable things to get her profile up such as sockpuppeting abusive twitter accounts or (almost certainly) faking fleeing her home. Breitbart is pretty terrible. They are, broadly speaking, on 'our' side but it's an alliance of convenience primarily and simply being on 'our' side doesn't make them not terrible; it's more an 'enemy of our enemy' situation. The 13k per month was due to a one time 10k donation. Its more like 3500. Which is still almost twice what I make per month. -

I really like The Newsroom. Wish they hadn't changed the intro tune in season 2. Season 1s was way better. ACN would be the news I'd watch. -
Garfield and Stone's chemistry was the best thing about the ASM movies. And I agree with you on Green Goblin. Harry's character arc was terrible. His dad lived to a ripe old age with his goblin disease. No need to freak out about dying with years of his research into staying alive. Its a shame Marvel doesn't have the full rights back. If I were doing it I would have him out himself during Civil War, and presumably die at the end of his first MCU movie. Then do a Miles Morales Spider-Man netflix series, which leads up into the revelation that Pete wasn't dead for the next movie.

It spawned one of my favorite music videos though

I could go for a Steampunk Pirate RPG. Sky pirates with airships and such.
-
All the negative reviews were scaring me because this is one of my most anticipated of the year. I've loved pretty much every Wachowski film.
-
They don't have the rights to either. And I doubt a kickstarter budget would be enough for them either.
