I work for a Subway too. My old manager was giving me 40 hours a week monday to friday, then she got promoted and the new manager came in and now I'm getting 27 hours a week, but the shifts are different every week. She doesn't schedule enough people then yells at us when we don't get everything done. The assistant manager has already threatened to quit because of it. Luckily she's gone at the beginning of may. I hope that means the new manager will be better.

By 10 comics are we talking Issues or Trades? Issues: Global Frequency Trades: Lucifer(not yet finished, one trade to go), Transmetropolitan, Preacher

Try some other stuff by those writers if you liked those. For Garth Ennis try Goddess, its short but pretty good, also, his run on Punisher is probably the best the book has ever been. Reading Preacher, Goddess, and his War Stories stuff made me wish he'd do Punisher, and then BAM, Marvel did the right thing and got him and Steve Dillon(artist on Preacher) to do Punisher. For Warren Ellis check out Global Frequency, and the first 2 trades of The Authority(you might want to check out his run on Stormwatch before you read The Authority though) Basically its Warren Ellis saying "Why the hell do superheroes only react to things after the fact and only fight supervillains and planetary threats?" So he makes them take down dictators, and god, which is in fact a giant alien organism. He is also in the middle of a couple series, Fell, which is a series of one shot detective comics in 16 pages. Its kind of an experiment of his. 16 pages of story, with some extras at the end, like the script for the issue, sketches of character designs, etc. Also, Desolation Jones is something that sounds like it would be similar to Transmet in feel. Its about Jones, an ex MI6 operative turned Private Investigator in Los Angeles, which happens to be kind of a retirement home for ex spooks.

Have you even read Preacher? How can it remind you of Priest other than the name? Priest is a western about a Priest who sold his soul for immortality to fight fallen angels and Preacher is about a former texas Preacher empowered with the word of God searching for God come to earth so he can tell him he's a ****, in the meantime he's being tracked by a secret organization so they can use him as a messiah to bring about armageddon. Nothing is similar except the name.

MCA and Josh, after that they can choose their own team, only requirements are that it has to be and RPG, and has to be Steampunk, or at least contain heavy steampunk elements. It should also have a town of some sort that the player can build on throughout the game. Something to spend his/her money on and such. Should be as big of a game as BG2.

When I read the thread title the first band to come to mind was U2... which wasn't on that list. I totally agree with Audioslave and Coldplay though.

Yeah, I just read Birthright and Red Son recently. Both were quite good. From what I hear, Xavier's disappearance after House of M will be explained in an upcoming event called Onslaught Reborn.

Wow... that slideshow was really.... uninteresting.

Ok, just looked it up. Wow... I was WAY off. We supply more like 20%, with Venezuela and Mexico in 2nd and 3rd place with around 16 and 13. I need to learn to actually look this stuff up before posting instead of just relying on stuff I've heard. We're still the top source of imported oil to the US, which I doubt many extremist conservatives realize when they talk about how useless canada is to the US.

If I remember right, the US gets something like 60-70% of its oil from Canada.

Playing Suikoden 5 right now. It was a little slow to get started, and they went and changed the GUI so its not as easy to use, but its better than 4 and 1, and could possibly be better than 3, but I'll have to beat it before making that decision. I think one of the better things about the Suikoden series is how they make the conflict you're swept up in more important than your character's problems. 4 made your character more important than the conflict, and so you just got this "so why am I doing this now?" kind of feeling throughout the game. 5 was like Konami saying "Gee, we screwed up with 4, so lets fix it." so they brought back 6 character combat, skills, a good character artist, and continued the timeline from the first 3. (The prequel was a bad idea.) So they basically made up for their blunders in 4.

What new games are you looking forward to?

bought Suikoden V the other day, so I can that that off my list. So far its better than IV. They brought back skills and 6 person combat parties. They even added combat formations which gives some bonuses. The GUI is crap though, and its a little slow to get going. Suikoden 2 is still the best so far, with 3 coming in 2nd. -

Raph Koster looks like Ben from Short Circuit. Also... why is the creator of Tetris on there? Sure he was hot **** when tetris came out but seriously, has he actually done anything other than tetris variations since then? -
thats like a word you shouldn't be able to trademark. Its like trademarking "Road" or "Bread"

I'm a C.O.W.Boy fan.

Ok, found the story... yeah, basically what has been said for the last year, it might happen, it might not. Its also a year old news story.

Ok, Steve Norrington, Guillermo Del Toro, or David Goyer? Also, if they've confirmed it, why isn't it on SuperHeroHype? I know David Goyer and Ryan Reynolds were talking about it while filming Blade Trinity, but then David got the Flash gig and decided to use Ryan as Wally West. Ryan reportedly said he was really interested in playing Deadpool, but that he pretty much played him in Blade Trinity only without the costume and powers. Speaking of Deadpool, they just introduced him in Ultimate Spider-Man. I like his regular marvel costume a lot better. But we haven't got a good look at him yet. EDIT: Oh wait... wikipedia has one: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0...atedeadpool.jpg Still like his normal costume.

Just because you're getting paid minimum wage doesn't mean you should be treated like crap. I wouldn't mind being treated like crap if I was getting paid 40 bucks an hour, because I could think to myself "Well, at least I can go home to my giant home theater system". But not when I'm getting paid barely enough to pay rent. Its pretty bad when the managers find more and more ways to screw around their underlings just so they can get a bigger bonus check. Where I work for instance we used to have a really good manager, everyone was getting good hours, we had pretty much the same schedule every week, we had enough staff scheduled to handle the workload without exhausting everyone, it was a great work environment. Then she got promoted. So the new manager came in, decided the store was paying too much in labour, so she cut one person from each shift. So now we have 3 people handing 4 people's workloads every shift, plus the manager keeps coming to get one of the staff members to go do other stuff for her, taking away from our already short staff, plus she totally screwed up the schedule so now its different every week without needing to be. (I used to work 11:30-6:30 M-F. Now its different every week.) And its really hard to find good workers. Since I started we've gone through about 20 new staff members, 3 of which are still there, the rest either quit within the first 2-3 days, or were fired for being horrible workers. So I don't understand why managers would treat the employees who are actually good enough to stay so badly since its so hard to find decent replacements.

http://www.beyondrobson.com/city/2006/02/mutiny_at_the_cafe/ I know stuff like this has probably happened before, but making it so public is awesome. I myself have a crappy manager, so this is even more awesome.
