  1. I don't mind the automated services that are like "press 1 for this" or whatever... but those god damn voice recognition ones... dear god they're terrible.
  2. Hey, this is my little internet world, you're not allowed here You don't even play video games!
  3. My parents have some nice leather furniture too. Its really nice in the spring and winter. But when summer hits and its 35-40 degree weather, I end up sitting on the floor.
  4. played a while ahead. Yup, he's going to declare war. After about 2 hours of play though, he no longer exists. His bloody war was enough to keep my growth stagnant long enough for the Persians and the Aztecs to take all the good spots though.
  5. For the curious ones, this is my wallet:
  6. Hrmm, I figured he was just pissed at me not giving him tech.
  7. it was a good season finale, but it didn't have the shock factor that the season one finale had. It was kinda neat to see the Chief and Kali get together, Starbuck with long hair, Adama with that horrible moustache.
  8. So my girlfriend wants to get me a new wallet. My wallet is fine. I like my wallet, it holds my money, it holds my change, I like the style, etc. But my girlfriend doesn't like my wallet because its 6 years old, and the velcro doesn't work. Is it wrong that I don't want a new wallet? We had an hour and a half conversation about this. Also, I don't like leather. Leather wallets, leather furniture, leather car interior, etc. I just don't like it. Is that wierd? My roommate thinks its crazy that I'd rather have a $40 timex than a $10,000 rolex. I told him I'd totally take the $10k rolex, sell it, buy a $40 timex and a new home theatre system. I just figure whats the point of spending 10k on a watch, when the timex is more accurate and you can read it in the dark. He also thinks I'm crazy because he said we should all go to this expensive restaurant and spend 50 bucks on a meal and I said I'd rather use that money to buy 2 dvds or a video game. This stuff makes sense to me, but other people seem to think I'm nuts.
  9. Ok, I'm giving it a try. 620 BC, first turn, sent our archer over to defend the northern city spot, and sent our axemen over to check out the barbarian city. Who knows, we might get lucky and they'll have barely any defense. 600 BC, Finished researching alphabet, traded writing to Hatshepsut for Masonry. Started researching Literature, started construction of the Oracle in Moscow since it was only 36 turns and that free tech is nice. 540 BC, Montezuma demanded pottery, I declined, so that will strain relations. Traded Mysticism for Fishing with Ceasar. Rostov founded. 520 BC, found London, Axemen got ambushed by some barbarian archers but managed to pull through to get the first look at our barbarian city here. It has a good supply of silks so might be worth taking.Montezuma cancelled the open borders agreement. 480 BC, Traded polytheism to Mansa Musa for Sailing. Founded Yaroslavl', Axemen were killed by barbarian defenders while I explored. 440 BC, Last turn. Montezuma founded a city to get that copper and cows. Doubt his culture level will ever let him near that ivory though. Sending one of the workers from Novgorod up to work those hills for moscow, hopefully cut down on the build time on that Oracle. 10. No, because then I couldn't get a job there until the development of personal teleporters. Heck, they're big enough, open branches in Vancouver AND Montreal. It just makes sense to open one in Vancouver considering how many 3d art and game development schools are here. Plus we have the big EA Canada campus here that apparently has people quitting all the time. We have too much talent, not enough jobs for them all over here.
  11. Would have been nice if they kept it in the country and started a branch studio over here in Vancouver.
  12. most importantly... did they fix the crappy combat and boring gameplay? I can't rely on reviews for that info unfortunately... since most reviewers actually liked Morrowind.
  13. I've had my computer for 4 years now without an upgrade, and it can run most new games at full specs. I am going to need a new video card soon though, my Geforce 4 Ti 4600 just isn't enough for all the newfangled features like bloom and such, and a lot of newer games aren't letting me use AA, while older ones do. Which I don't understand.
  14. I'd say the 2x500GB is excessive... but when I got my comp I figured 2x80GB was excessive, I filled that in like a month. GD TV shows filling my hard drives....
  15. That would actually be kinda cool having the PC version and PS3 version of some game on the same disc. Check out the differences and such.
  16. Well, for films I can suggest Firefly/Serenity of course. Also the Riddick movies aren't bad (Pitch Black, Chronicles of Riddick). Can't really think of much off the top of my head.
  17. Not only do we have our own Superhero team, but that superhero team also had the first openly gay superhero on it. We also had a dwarf. Hows that for progressive.
  18. Saw Hades talking about Blu-Ray discs and just filling it all with FMVs and thought of this. So with the huge storage capacity of Blu-ray, do you think PS3 games will start getting the DVD treatment, with special features and such? Like little behind the scenes featurettes, interviews with the designers, all that jazz? Would you be interested in that sort of thing? You could even have bundle packs with some movies like Spider-Man or Harry Potter that had the movie and the game on a single disc if you used the dual layer discs. Or at least do what Xbox has been doing and bundling demos of the games as a special feature on movies. Anyway, just something that came to me and I thought it might be interesting to think up ways they could use all that space.
  19. Suikoden V - I own I-IV and enjoyed all of them, and from what I've seen it looks like they fixed all the stuff I didn't like in IV. Neverwinter Nights 2 of course FFXII - Liked all the others except VIII and XI(never played), and this one is from the guys who did FF Tactics and Vagrant Story, two of the better Square games. Xenosaga III - even though I haven't started II yet. I need to finish replaying the first one so I can transfer my save data, but the one boss in the middle of the first one is a pain. Spore - Looks possibly like one of the funnest games ever.

Didn't they move him back now though? For his own series that is. Cuz yeah I remember members of Stormwatch post Ellis talking about him leaving at one point.
