Speaking about movies with religious undertones... I'm still pissed they're cutting all the references to religion from the His Dark Materials movie. Which is about a war against God and the Church.

Its like an expanded mutant registration. Only you don't have to be a mutant to have to register. Everyone with superpowers has to register.

I love some of the lines wolverine gets in the comics sometimes. Like in Ultimate X-Men when him and Cyclops are fighting over Jean and Wolverine is like "Why would she want a skinny geek like you when she's already tasted some prime Canadian beefcake right here." (since Wolvie and Jean got it on in the first storyline of the series)

I thought they were all friends with one another. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They're all members of the Avengers. So yeah, they're not only friends, they're teammates. You can still have differing opinions than your friends.

YES! Now, I wouldn't go as far as saying I hated Kill Bill, but I certainly didn't like it. And I didn't really understand what the big deal was. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Its Quentin Tarantino's homage to movies. It has references to like 18 different films with various shots, costumes, props and such. So film geeks absolutely love it, as do people who love violence. Is it a film masterpiece like so many people claim? No, its just a film geek's labour of love that happens to be extremely entertaining.

Lionheart was a lot of fun for the first half of the game. Then once you think to yourself "Hrmm, this is actually pretty good, I guess Reflexive sure showed all those people who were bitching at them to make a real RPG rather than an Action RPG" then BAM next chapter hits and its 90% combat for the rest of the game. Their reasoning for the first chapter being so good was that they didn't expect everyone to do all the quests in the first chapter. They figured people would do some, then come back in the 3rd to finish the rest. Meaning not only had they never made an RPG before... but they never played one either.

Its about this kid who is the son of earth's greatest hero and his father told him when he was like 8 that he'd be developing superpowers when he hit puberty. He develops them when he's about 18 and becomes a superhero. Then it turns out his dad isn't a hero but in fact he's the advance scout of an alien invasion and everything goes nuts. When he discovers his powers he's throwing a bag of garbage into the dumpster outside his work and ends up flinging it to England where it lands and people start worshipping it as a sign from the sky gods. Which is then furthered by him graduating and accidentally throwing his grad cap to the same spot which lands on some guys head who all the cult followers dub the chosen one.

I think he survived because Caprica 6 shielded him from the blast with her body. Anyway, this show just keeps getting better every episode.

A "civil war" is up and coming in the marvel universe. Apparently it will be Capt. America V. Iron Man. The lastest Spidey had Iron Man basically recruiting Spidey. The black guy is War Machine. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Its more than that, from what I've read, its about a Meta-Human registration act. Basically a superhero registration so superheroes can be accountable for their actions. I think Captain America is in favor of it, while Iron Man isn't, and Spider-Man is struggling to choose. Become a criminal by not registering, or publically unmask himself. Since he was a criminal from the day he became a costumed vigilante, I don't see that being any sort of new choice.

Playing GalCiv 2. Not as much of an improvement over Galciv 1 as MoO2 was over MoO. In fact, I think I prefer the first one.

Well, its not that I don't like The Big Lebowski, its that I don't think its awesome. I don't think it sucks, its just that everyone else seems to think its this amazingly awesome movie, except me. Blade Runner was just overhyped and it didn't meet my expectations. 2001 is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Until I watched that movie I had never fast forwarded a movie to try to find interesting parts. From Dusk till Dawn was just stupid. Though I'll admit Cheech was awesome. Then again, when isn't he?

Yeah, I don't like it. Both the design and the colors.

I just read the first 20 or so issues of Invincible. Good book, I like how it tries to parody superhero books while being a serious superhero book at the same time.

Closest I think you could do would be to edit a copy of the module of the chapter you're in in the toolset to have a chest full of the items you have, then start a new character in that module and bring him up to speed. I think the only drawback to this would be Companion quests. I don't think your progress in those quests will carry over so you probably won't be able to finish them.

Iron Spider Man?! Linkie? I can't see Kirsten Dunst signing up for more films after the third (especially for a low price), which is why I think the producers will take the opportunity to kill off MJ and introduce new f-buddy for Spidey. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Or at least have MJ take off for a while and reintroduce her in a later film with a good actress.

Ahh... movies I don't like that everyone else seems to... Dazed and Confused, The Big Lebowski, 2001: A Spacy Odyssey, Blade Runner, From Dusk Till Dawn.

My favorite moments in Star Trek were when they had the big wars. With the Klingons in DS9, with the Dominion in DS9, and with the Borg in First Contact. I think if they decide to do another series, they should start a war with the Romulans.

Sounds like the reasons I stopped playing. Bad combat, no story, uninteresting NPCs. Its like they were like "Ok, what makes a good RPG... deep NPCs... good story... good Combat... and Freedom... ok pick one and ignore the others. Balance is overrated."

Maybe they're going the Ultimate Spider-Man route and making him like a what-if Peter never had Uncle Ben type thing. I personally like that idea more than a bodybuilder/photographer rival who blames Spider-Man for everything thats wrong with his life.
