  1. Anybody seen this yet? Its pretty funny. Major Victory is classic. Its totally a spoof on reality shows. Its so obvious some of it is staged. But its entertaining and thats what matters.
  2. so what kind of creature are people planning on making their first run through? I was thinking some sort of 4 armed bird lizard type thing.
  3. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/vbimghost.ph...layimg&imgid=16 Apparently thats ratchet. I wish we could go back in time and show Don Murphy what a terrible job Michael Bay is doing with the movie so he didn't even consider him for the job.
  4. *looks at RAM* Ouch dude.
  5. The last sports game I played was NHL2004. When my brother told me they took out create-a-player and you couldn't play a custom team in dynasty mode in 2005 I completely skipped that one. Pretty much all I do in those games is create my #1 line in create a player, then create a custom team and go dynasty mode. The GM goals sounded lame too. My brother got all angry because he was fired after 3 straight stanley cups because he didn't get the #1 draft pick. I mean duh, the only way you can guarantee getting the #1 draft pick is if you're in last place. I need to get the next major wrestling game too. Those are hella fun. Though the last one I played was Smackdown! Bring the Pain or something like that.
  6. Stronghold was fun. Stronghold 2 was also fun, but I stopped playing because it would crash to desktop every 5-10 minutes.
  7. I just bought the special edition DVD. It comes with a neat metal case. " Watched Life of Brian earlier though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dangit, my special edition didn't come with a metal case. My special edition of Boondock Saints did, but not V for Vendetta. Anyway, I loved the movie. Enough to spend full price on the DVD instead of waiting for it to come down to something more reasonable.
  8. The stronghold is one of the main reasons I like the Suikoden games. Though Suikoden 2 still has the best stronghold. I mean rebuilding a ruined town into one of the bigger cities is so much cooler than a big boat or an ancient ruined castle. Breath of Fire 2 also did a decent job too. Way better than the other incarnations of the series. It would be sweet if the stronghold in NWN ends up similar to Suikoden 2.
  9. Feargus said on some early interview that Obsidian is geared towards running three projects at the same time. I think they finally have hired enough people for three projects... Hopefully. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wasn't his plan like to have a PC only, a Console only, and a cross platform game all in development at the same time?
  10. I think the downgraded version would be too difficult for you to understand <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The downgraded version is just the good version without the memory card reader, wi-fi, a 20 GB hard drive instead of a 60, and no HDMI interface. In other words, no point in getting it.
  11. Um... $499 for the cheap version, $599 for the good version. That info has been around since May.
  12. I just ran through the Chinese Unification scenario. It was fun. Eventually I won through diplomatic victory, and all I had to do was pound one of the larger rivals into capitulation. That made me large enough for 2 other factions to swear fealty to me, which gave me enough votes for the win.
  13. I think he's right on most parts. The money spent on marketing stuff at E3 is just going to be spent marketing stuff anyway. Likely in big things like the Sony and Microsoft press conferences. Though those might be pretty cool for the major publishers like EA and Ubisoft.
  14. Well, the new Carthaginian harbours are cool looking. Mostly they're just the same building with an added bonus and different graphics. The preview at the top of the thread has it about right, it will just make it easier to choose your favorite civ.
  15. as long as they don't cancel Comic-Con before I get to go I'm ok.
  16. Ok... don't they already have that? Because I have a dual core 3.2 Ghz processor from Intel, and it wasn't even the best one. And I heard the AMD dual core ones were better.
  17. Any ideas for the next expansion? Apparently both Civ 2 and Civ 3 had two, so its likely Civ 4 will have another. Personally I'd like to see one based on revolutions. Civil wars and such. Its something thats been missing since the beginning. I'd like to see different cultural groups within the various empires seek independance through war or peace, etc. I'd also like to see the return of espionage. Staging revolts, bribing units, etc. And the return of building your palace.
  18. I got it. I'm not good enough to play the scenarios without cheating... and unlike the base game, they're no fun when you cheat. Other than the new civs, the base game improvements really aren't all that noticeable. They're the kind of things you don't notice until they're gone, like the different city graphics for different civs.
  19. Since you mentioned The Frozen Throne, I'm going to have to point out you missed Beyond the Dark Portal. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Warcraft II is Beyond the Dark portal <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Warcraft II was Tides of Darkness, the Warcraft II Expansion was Beyond the Dark Portal. Warcraft Adventures was the sadly cancelled Warcraft adventure game that followed Thrall's rise from an Orc slave to Warchief of the Orc Horde, bridging the gap between Warcraft II and III. Its style was that of the Lucasarts adventures at the time using hand drawn animation on static painted backgrounds.
  20. Since you mentioned The Frozen Throne, I'm going to have to point out you missed Beyond the Dark Portal.
  21. HAve you tried Galactic Civilizations II? Super cool game.
  22. That's why I hate, hate, hate such movies. According to Hollywood, anything artificial that can be more intelligent than a living person is a bloodsucking baby-killing machine. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Except Sonny.
  23. I think it would be neat if they avoided Star-Fleet alltogether and based a series around some pirates or something. Think Firefly in the Star Trek universe.
  24. Who are you again?
  25. You do realize that a guy in the plane itself is a much more creative thinker than a drone and if something wrong happens, like just say we were going to nuke someone but we found out they did nothing wrong and the drone won't deactivate or something like that, you're screwed. But a pilot could do something, maybe stop the missile from launching or crash his plane to stop the weapon. It's just that drones have too much blind obidence, they can't think for themselves or find out moraly right from wrong. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think he's trying to say have them be remote controlled drones. Like there is a pilot in a ****pit somewhere, just not in the actual fighter. Like a flight simulator that controls the unmanned drone. That way their best pilots could be shot down many times but still fly the next mission.
