I figured they'd look at the last group of adaptions and see that the ones that treated their source material with respect (Spider-Man, Sin City, Batman Begins, etc.) went on to be successful, while the ones that threw the source material out the window (Catwoman, AvP, etc) failed.

That is supposed to be Megatron? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So we have Chrome Predator as Megatron, Chicken Monkey for Starscream, Optimus Prime is a skinny bitch, and Bumblebee is straight out of Bionicle. Its like the design team was like "Ok, how can we make this as little like Transformers as possible... because Catwoman was super awesome and this should be just like that" Its crap like this that makes me wish they shows some of the bad interviews of people coming out of the theaters instead of just the good ones. I'd love to see the commercials with quotes by audiences such as: "I thought it was supposed to be a transformers movie?" "I didn't think Alien Vs Predator 2 was out until later this year" "I want my 12 bucks back" etc.

Megatron... I sure as hell hope its a work in progress. It needs some serious redesigns of the legs. And arms. And body, and head.

Because the designers figured the Autobots needed to look like Bionicle figures, and the decepticons like mish mashes of different mechanical animals.

its all crap. The character designers need to be fired and blacklisted for even submitting such crap. They just need to hire Don Figueroa to redesign them all.

I nearly cried when I saw that the piece of concept art floating around a while back for Starscream that everyone said was so bad it couldn't possibly be even considered for Starscream, turned out to be his actual design. He looks like a Super Doom Gorilla Chicken. Megatron uprooted the ugly tree and beat him with it.

I went today and had a silly experience. I needed 4 extra shelves for my black bookcase. They didn't have extra shelves in black, so we decided to go with the brown black, misreading the price tag. We get to the checkout and find out it will be $80 for the 4 extra shelves. A whole new bookcase was $69, which got me the 4 extra shelves I needed, in the color I originally wanted. I now will give the empty bookcase to my roommate, who can go and buy glass shelves for it at $15 bucks each instead of 20 for the pressboard ones, to display his model cars.

Keep in mind it was just an announcement trailer. Didn't have any plot details or anything, it was just to let people know there was a TF movie coming and get people talking.

Barricade is the cop car, and we all figured that was Brawl, so now we have no idea what Brawl is. And evidence that they were listening to the fans: Changing Soundwave to Frenzy. Makes the character not suck anymore.

Well, most of the Ikea stuff you have to assemble, so it transports pretty easily. They also deliver. As for filling a flat, they had this one display when I was there last where they made a 300 sq ft apartment comfortable. It was crazy. It was pretty much a kitchen, living room, and bathroom, and using the crap you can get at ikea, they made the place fit everything you need.

Well most of the stuff under Wildstorm was Image properties they bought, so they couldn't merge it with their standard universe very easily. I do like the idea behind Vertigo though. Its not necessarily a mature readers label, more of a creator owned titles label. Well, thats what it is now. Its just that most creators given the opportunity tend to tell stories that they want to tell, rather than kid friendly stories that sell well. So most of the vertigo stuff turns out being mature readers.

Rise of Legends is about it.

I don't understand why all the old stuff gets released. Like we get new screenshots and they turn out to be like 4 months old and that kinda thing. I don't get it, its not hard to hit printscreen. Why would atari want to have screens that aren't representative of the game? Video clips are a little harder, as you have to cut them together and add the music, but if its just a simple one to show off gameplay, it shouldn't take more than a couple hours to put together.

I'm excited. That sounds awesome.

I was by the local comic store today and grabbed vol 1 and 2 of The Authority: Revolution, and Lucifer vol 10, which I didn't even know was out.

Its super cheesy. Definitely a fun watch. What it is is its people who made up superheroes, pretending to be their heroes in order to have their character appear in comics and a TV movie.
