  1. I like something I read a while back about how MS is going to start doing a brand type thing for Windows Vista based games, much like how Playstation and Xbox games have the banner thingy right on the package saying which platform its for, and they're going to start doing marketing campaigns promoting windows as a gaming platform in order to boost PC game sales in general.
  2. When these first started going around I knew they were fake right off the bat from the bad URLs and sending the emails to the wrong email addresses and such(I got the phishing site emails in one address, while my account is registered with another) and wondered how anyone could fall for them. Then lots of people started falling for them.
  3. When I preordered mine they didn't even know there was a LE.
  4. Hrmm, so its pretty much just going to be the story of the creation of the Roman Empire with its roots in Caesar with Octavius becoming the first Emperor. Looking forward to seeing more Cleopatra. The actress they got was perfect.
  5. Well... I guess since I already paid for NWN, getting FFXII next month shouldn't be a problem. Its just the debate of which I'll play first...
  6. Dammit, so I have to get that AND FF XII in the same day!
  7. My post count is actually more than double what's displayed, as like 52% of my total posts are in off topic.
  8. Surprisingly, his big break was in BMW commercials. The Hire, a bunch of short films done as advertisements for BMW by big name directors. Through that he got to work with people like Ang Lee, Guy Ritchie, John Woo, and Tony Scott, as well as some bigger name stars like Don Cheadle, Gary Oldman, Mickey Rourke, and Stellan Skarsgaard. After he did those his career took off.
  9. Absolutely not. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How about a movie where the corporation isn't a evil entity? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They should make a Wildcats 3.0 movie. Halo Corporation. Releases advanced computers for about 20 bucks each, and batteries that don't die, etc. Basically trying to make the world a better place through consumerism. Anyway, heard about this movie a while ago. Looks cool. Clive Owen rocks.
  10. My opinion on the subject is that they did land on the moon, just not when they said they did. They faked it initially just to beat the russians, then when the russians gave up they actually did land to collect the rock samples and such.
  11. Wasn't cancelled, they're just taking their sweet time with it. New season is sposed to start in January or something like that.
  12. So I guess this film is really coming along now after years of development hell. Theres been a tidbit out in the last little bit with some rejected costume concepts: http://www.comics2film.com/FanFrame.php?f_id=21953 As evidenced by the 3rd pic, this suit in the right light looks badass. So if this is a rejected design, I can't wait to see the final. My casting choice for Tony Stark/Iron Man is Ed Quinn. He plays Nathan Stark on Eureka.
  13. God I haven't played D&D or whatever in like 6 years. Birthright was my favorite setting.
  14. The only thing I wish the limited edition had that the LG/CE versions have is the full version of NWN1 with the expansions. It would be nice to own a copy instead of just borrowing my roommates all the time.
  15. I managed to get to sleep at a good hour last night leaving me cheerful in the morning when I had to cover the morning girls shift at work. Also, being the senior staff member, I got to choose my position for the day, leaving me in the back doing prep and dishes and not having to deal with customers. Also, my manager started giving me free coffee, so I get these excellent little caramel cappuccinos. Got off work at 4, letting me go to the mall. Got Dragonfoirce's first cd because they were out of stock of their latest. Its ok, not as good as what I've heard of their new one. No one had the Tick season one, so I'll just buy it online. EB gave me my pre-release toolset key without even checking my preorder. Went grocery shopping, which they had everything I needed in stock, and I managed to get out to the bus stop just as my bus got there. Pretty good day.
  16. You know, thats almost a cool idea. Clean it up a bit, make it a tad more serious. Make it kinda like The Movies, only with video games. Start with a little 2 man operation in a garage in the 80s and by 2006 you have a huge EA type corporation.
  17. I popped into EB while at the mall and asked for a key and they gave me one. Didn't even check my preorder.
  18. That newsweek article is almost exactly like this blog community I saw once where people were roleplaying as bloggers in a world where Gore won the election. Like pretty much everything that article talks about Bush doing is what Gore did in this make-believe world.
  19. I think a Superhero RPG would be cool. Something a little more serious and less linear and action based than Freedom Force. Heck, a single player version of City of Heroes would actually be really cool.
  20. Thor is ashamed of his short people.
  21. Basically from what I've heard, they needed to hire Bay as a cinematographer, and hire a talented director for everything else. I assume it was just cheaper to get Bay for the whole thing.
  22. The page is broken, it won't run under Firefox. Edit... hrm... won't run under IE either. Keeps saying I need to install IE6
  23. Could I have kidneys lacerated instead? ohohoh I know! Godzilla crpg! No wait. GI Joe crpg! Bugs Bunny/road Runner crpg! Totally awesome! Cartoon and toy crpgs for everyone!!1!1! *dies* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Megatron is not impressed.
  24. Thats stupid. Why wouldn't we get it with the CE?
  25. There are several things wrong with this idea. First of all, Activision has the rights to do Transformers games. 2nd of all, Hasbro has nothing to do with Atari other than Infogrames buying Hasbro Interactive a few years back. 3rd of all, a Transformers RPG would suck royal ass. Especially with the NWN 2 engine. A TF RPG would have serious limitations on character appearance, as the Robot mode should reflect the Alt-Mode meaning each alt mode in the game would likely only have one robot mode, because it would be a LOT of work to have multiple robot modes for the same alt-mode because they all have to be able to transform into the same vehicle. So likely what you would get would be a choice of 3-5 alt-modes, then color choices. Which just wouldn't give the TFs justice. I just think Transformers is more suited to the action adventure genre where its more acceptible to play as pre-determined characters.
