  1. Hrmm, lets see, some of my strangest dreams... One time I had a dream where there was an undead horde making its way from the southeastern US across to the northwest killing everything, only the zombies couldn't climb stairs, so if your building didn't have wheelchair access you were safe. And after about 6 months of fighting the zombies, someone figured out fire killed them. Another one had Freddy Kreuger(sp?) owning a fabric store. Another one I was an SCV from Starcraft, My best one was probably the one where I was a half dead hitman the government kept in a suspension tank until whenever they needed me... that was awesome.
  2. Bah! Finally someone else who liked Insurrection. And while I liked Nemesis, I don't think it was top 3. My top 3 would be First Contact, Undiscovered Country, and a toss up between Wrath of Khan and Voyage Home.
  3. I'd rather law enforcement be armed with more than billy clubs and mace....you know, to handle the people who don't go through legal channels to acquire firearms. Again, not completely without reason. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I believe in Japan police still carry firearms, and have lax toy laws, and they manage to avoid shooting kids with toys.
  4. Well Yoyager is done. The crew has moved on, etc. What I'd like to see is a stand alone movie. One that has nothing to do with previous shows aside from maybe some cameos and recognizing the past events of previous series. Or maybe follow Riker and his crew on the Titan. That way you'd have a couple characters to link you to the old universe, and be able to introduce some new characters. Maybe, if its good, it could spin off into a new series.
  5. Fixed. Only Wrath of Khan, Voyage Home, Undiscovered Country, and First Contact were good. The rest were enjoyable but can't be considered good. The Motion Picture was trying to cash in on Kubrick's 2001, and just ended up being an hour long episode of Star Trek jammed into a 2 hour movie. Though it did have Spock hurtling through that giant space vagina.
  6. Well, with fake guns you can take an eye out with those plastic bullets. A real gun would just blow the person's head off, so they wouldn't feel any pain. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The thing is, if you give a kid a toy gun that looks real....well, mistakes have been made in the past where the law got involed. Accidental deaths due to thinking the guns were real, that sort of thing. It's dumb, but not completely without reason. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Notice how that sort of thing doesn't happen in countries where handguns are banned? Anyway, back to transformers. The "TRANSFORMERS EXCLUSIVE" they bragged about ended up on the don murphy forums several hours before. Apparently the announcement at Comic-Con was pretty cool. Peter Cullen apparently called in and annouced it himself over the PA in his optimus prime voice
  7. Ahh, yeah. Anyone find it kinda backwards that real guns are legal in the states, but fake ones aren't?
  8. I can also say, if you go to digipen, don't take a break after finishing there either, try to get a job right out of school. I regret taking some time off after going to Vancouver Film School because now I've been out of school for 4 years, work at subway, and find it incredibly hard to self motivate myself to work on stuff at home.

  10. it was actually not that bad today, it was only 32. Yesterday was 36. Which would be like 102 or so to you Americans. Not bad for the great white north eh?
  11. I'd post Armada Megatron... but he doesn't count. War Within megatron is really the only one that counts because not only does he look like g1 megatron in robot mode, but the tank mode makes so much more sense.
  12. It might actually be worth seeing now!
  13. Oh, by the way, Peter Cullen, original voice of Optimus Prime, has been cast as Optimus Prime in the movie. Frank Welker, original voice of Megatron, has auditioned and no word on his casting has come yet. But it was about a month between news of Peter Cullens audition and his casting.
  14. Amen. The customer is more often wrong than right.
  15. That sounds like fun. The whole magic/technology thing worked well in Arcanum, I thought - would you handle it differently? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, Magic is still more prominant than in Arcanum. Its just heavily regulated. You need to be a member of the Spellswords to practice magic, and nearly a 3rd of their ranks are dedicated to hunting down rogue wizards. It used to be a standard fantasy world but a crazy wizard caused an explosion of magical power that wiped out a continent and corrupted half the world, creating the various races. Elves, Dwarves, and Humans were the only races before that. So anyway, they don't want that happening again so we have the crazy magic police. The heavy technology nations are concentrated to one area, and divided between two sides. One believing their technology should benefit their people, and the other believing it should be used to conquer their neighbors. This has limited its spread as the side that wants to conquer wants to keep it to themselves, and the side that is battling them don't want to let others have it for fear of creating allies for the other side. Also, the way I see the steampunk-like tech is more like how it was in Rise of Legends than Arcanum. More of a high-tech rennaisance era rather than a high tech industrial revolution era. I see it more of a magic existing alongside technology, rather than them being opposing forces.
  16. The first game I'd do would be a squad based tactical combat game similar to Fallout Tactics, X-Com, etc. combined with a base building/company running simulation with base building tools similar to the Sims 2 construction tools. You'd start running a mercenary company out of a small apartment but eventually can build into a full scale army and weapons developer. Second game would be an RPG similar in execution to BG2 or Fallout 2, based in the fantasy world of my creation, where Dwarves are the masters of the seas, Magic is strictly regulated by a worldwide group seeking to suppress its strength, which has lead technology to advance in some areas to steampunk levels.
  17. I actually thought it was a photoshop so I had to check for myself. Thats funny.
  18. It would have been cooler if they had let people know it was Bucky. Russia's greatest soldier being the former sidekick of Americas? That would have been good.
  19. He's somewhat Marvel's version of Green Lantern, only not nearly as cool or popular. He's a member of the Nova Corps, aka Xandarian StarCorps, which were originally a defence force for the planet Xandar, but turned into a sort of interstellar police force. Recently all of the Nova Corps were killed and Nova absorbed the Xandarian Worldmind, the supercomputer that I believe was the source of the Nova Corps powers. He then got a big power upgrade and such. Um... Kyle Raynor(Better than Hal Jordan) anyone?
  20. but only two people actually stay dead (well one now) Uncle ben and buckey(buckey came back as a soviet) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Winter Soldier was hardcore.
  21. Well its good that they're trying for the most realistic transforming robots from outerspace. I wonder if the 'Matrix of Leadership' is somehow going to come into play. Also does anyone remember what they called that thing that lived at the center of Cybertron that could give life to the Transformers? It was the episode that they made the Aerobots and those decepticons that were all cars and trucks and such. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Matrix is apparently the reason they're on earth. Though its not called the Matrix because they don't want to get sued by WB, even though they used the term like 15 years earlier, and if they could sue Paramount for it, they could also sue all the hundreds of Math textbooks that use the term too. And you're thinking of Vector Sigma.
  22. Michael Bay is apparently going to address the crappy long nose flamer prime sometime in the next couple days.
  23. Will I need a new motherboard for one of these? Or can they fit in the LGA775 slots?
  24. Dangit... and I just spent $900 like 2 months ago on an upgrade...
  25. has anyone mentioned that the fallouts shouldn't be on the list yet?
