But all your gnomes are lucid, right? Right? No gnomes.

One of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Closest I can get is Benjamin Franklin: "Well done is better than well said." I thought elves were goodies? In my world everything is all turned upside down. Dwarves are a seafaring race, Elves violent and vengeful, "drow" (though they're really just elves with a skin pigment problem brought on by magical corruption) tend to favor the arts and most of the worlds great plays, epics, and famout bards come from Darkling(my world's name for them) stock. Halflings are crazy mechanics, Goblins aren't evil (just disfigured to the point that people just assume they are)

Geek Squad gets sued: employee peeks at woman in shower

Don't forget that this isn't a criminal case-- the plaintiffs do not have to prove guilt "beyond a reasonable doubt," they just have to prove that it's more likely than not that the plaintiff is liable. And juries do not like the idea of repairmen planting devices to spy on their children. It may not be as easy as you think. In a civil case its usually the defendant's choice on whether theres a jury or not, so if it did go to court they could just have a judge, who would be less likely to be swayed by their emotions than a jury. -
BG had way better backgrounds. But despite its faults, I did like the NWN character graphics better. Mostly because the animations were so much better.

Very true. I find myself thinking of a cool idea, starting, then never finishing. Heres some shots of the starting town for my elven revenge mod. The basis for it was that centuries ago the Elves of my world were a slave race to a vast human empire. When the standard fantasy world planetwide disaster happened the empire was in ruins and the elves rebelled and escaped to form their own nation and plot revenge. Now its like a thousand years later, most of the humans have completely forgotten about that era, yet a good number of elves still live from that era and have been plotting vengeance for centuries.

The NWN toolset is simple to use. Seriously, that's it. A smoother learning curve means more people finishing their first module. This means less people trying to make their first module but getting frustrated and giving up. Once you have that first module out there, you get the positive feedback and you 'feel' like part of the community, and you're more likely to make a second one that's a bit more polished, and uses a bit more features. My problem is I love playing with the level design, but I keep getting scared when it comes to adding conversations and scripting and such.

I asked a chinese girl at work if all chinese could fly or just those trained in martial arts.

Hrmm, I liked KOTOR better than NWN because to me it seemed like with KOTOR they just ripped all the things they liked from NWN and changed the rest to fit star wars. Bastila = Aribeth, Star Maps = Ward Stones, etc. Only because it wasn't being made as an afterthought like the NWN1 campaign was, it had a lot more polish.

Its easily faked. If all they had is the memory chip, its probably very hard to prove its from his phone. This case would be very easy for Best Buy to win, but they'll likely just settle. -
I'm more offended that they aren't in any way funny or entertaining. I usually find racism hilarious unless it involves violence.

Pretty graphic too. I felt queasy when they tried to pull the napalmed guy out by his legs and just ended up stripping the flesh from his bones. I just saw "This Film is Not Yet Rated" and holy crap, the rating and appeals system is stupid. When appealing a rating, its in the appeals rules that you are not allowed to cite precedent. They also have clergy present at all the appeals. Of all of the members of the ratings board, only 2 of them have children under 20.

I demand to see the video. Otherwise I call shenanigans. -
I don't know if I'd agree with the better custom content support line. At least, if you're talking about support from the devs. It took Bioware quite a long while to get official 3dsmax exporters out to the public. Obsidian has quite a few things that could be worked out to be work more smoothly, but I'd rank them as equal or better than Bioware's support. I am, however, slightly perturbed at the apparent lack of new modules and custom content. Personally, as an artist and creator, I see virtually no reason to stick with NWN1, with its dated, muddy graphics and limited toolset potential. Yet, NWN2's community just hasn't seemed to take off yet. It's strange, and I wonder if it's just taking a while to heat up or if it just doesn't have wings, for whatever reason. One thing Bioware definitely did better though, was they had their Neverwinter Wednesdays, when they'd highlight new community stuff and the sort every week. I think that kind of stuff goes a long, long way in terms of keeping the public engaged and interested. Agreed on NWN2's poor optimization, but NWN1's engine was never a prize horse either, I felt. What I meant was that it seems like it was so much easier to add new heads and armor and placeables and such to the game. The standard heads for NWN2 suck really bad, and there were hundreds of custom ones for NWN, nearly all of them better than the Bioware created ones what with the ridiculous hats and mustaches.

NWN1 has 2 things on NWN2: 1)Better custom content support. 2)Better optimization Thats all.

Real Breaking News: Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer
Oerwinde replied to Sand's topic in Computer and Console
Have you played through NWN2 yet? Because all those questions you asked are answered. Boo. Since its epic levels I was hoping it would be more realistic and focus on character, scheming, story, etc. since combat at epic levels is boring and lame. -

Whoo! Sedin pulls it off in the end of the 4th overtime.

His daughter, if that is actually her, is pretty hot.

And again Volourn disagrees just to be the guy who disagrees with everyone. I'm not saying its a bad thing, its what makes him an interesting member of the community.

I've got a village I've been working on that can serve, just need to populate it and such... I might dabble and see what I can do.

I think the timer on the front page needs to be removed. I think its counted down to zero two or 3 times now, before being extended by like 2 months.

Well.. on the other hand, Morrowind has much better gameplay, storyline, and voice acting. It is also a couple of years younger than NWN2 and has much lower PC requirements. Morrowind had a storyline? The lack of a story and the crap gameplay kept me from getting further than a half hour into the game, which kept me from hearing most of the voice acting. Though 90% of the voice acting in NWN2 was ass so I'll accept that part as true.

Breaking news: NWN2 EXPANSION "Legacy of Gith" for pre-order!
Oerwinde replied to Tasaio's topic in Computer and Console
I agree that given what's been said, an official announcement on an expansion pack is likely to come soon, but this isn't it. Legacy of the Gith would be an interesting title, though - even if it was formerly used for NWN2 itself. I guess it refers to the silver sword, and the end of NWN2 did try to focus our attention on the fate of the sword. They did talk a lot about the fate of Gith near the end too, so if the expansion has planeswalking and such, likely Gith would be a part of it and the title would still fit. -
