the A-10 is my one true love, I'm flying the Su-25T just for practice such a beauty in other news, attempted my first landing. didn't end well... missed the strip on my first approach and hit the tarmac at a high speed, gears went to hell at that point on my second approach I tried a crash landing, but the angle wasn't quite right, so I trailed off into the grass... easy to predict what happens next I still have a lot to learn

Look at Wildstar, you'll have to buy the box and pay for a subscription. basically, in the age of f2p they're saying "we're so confident in our game that we're certain a lot of WoW players will jump ship to play it". or are they? I think it's just a money-grab-scheme type of thing. first, get as many suckers to buy your game as possible, see how willing they are to pay a monthly fee for access. and then, when the numbers fall below a certain level, just spit in their faces and make the game f2p with a premium membership. I have personally read people in the industry saying this scheme is what most companies should be doing. it makes sense from the business point of view. and it also doesn't make any sense to buy this game or waste any money on it until it's not f2p. they're aiming at smomething similar to EVE in terms of community, what they seem to fail to realize is that EVE is a hardcore niche game that has no competitors on the market, it's doomed to have a stable following. unlike Wildstar that looks like just another WoW-clone (same goes for TESO) their actions really make me think sometimes that those companies are run by a bunch of idiots. but in reality it's the opposite. they know it's the smart way to maximize profits.

too early to say, only just started, have done the simplest mission (fly a bunch of waypoints and land). no combat missions yet. tomorrow will be my first serious mission with a bunch of friends. and I have nothing to compare it to, this is my first DCS experience. I'll probably be buying the A-10C after I am comfortable with this baby, then I'll know which one's the better one

yeah, I'd have to buy the level cap DLC on its own, and it didn't make financial sense and season pass was too expensive

finally am done with BL2, without the super vault hunter DLC I am stuck at lv 50, so the Ultimate mode is beyond my reach. I think I got everything I could out of it anyway. for some odd reason I really liked the Medal of Honor reboot, its campaign to be precise. it doesn't have that epicness that most of these modern warfare shooters have (I am yet to play any of the Black Ops games though, some say those are the best) and my new hobby

this is insulting to me personally not only is Ran better than Yojimbo in every respect. not only is Ran one of the best movies in the history of movies. hearing that Witcher will be to video games what Ran is to movies is just mind boggling. maybe it will be something worthy among RPGs. but video games? seriously? even Super Mario Brothers 3 is a better video game experience than any RPG will ever be. just because of the nature of RPGs. hell, even GTA 4 is a better video game experience than most RPGs. /offtopic

I don't like Chernarus for two reasons: can't enter most buildings, and too few urban areas. My favorite map to play on is Zargabad, but the FPS suffers a lot on it usually. the cool thing about new units is you can install client-side mods that will replace existing units with custom ones on the fly when you play in multi-player. For example I have 3 replacement configs: one for swapping low-res BAF units with hi-res Australian Special Forces ones, one for swapping vanilla US Special Forces with US Army Rangers, and one that swaps vanilla ACU US Army Units with those Multicam 82nd Airborne on the pic.

I hate that. makes sorting through my inventory a nightmare, I usually turn him to face the right side of the screen also, the dual-personality. he has a chance of hitting himself in the face instead of his enemies on every melee attack you make. sometimes it kicks off several times in a row, meaning it can kill you easily. and it's not the most annoying thing about this "feature", it blurs your vision for a couple of seconds, making you almost completely blind. this will cause a lot of frustration (especially during boss-fights) later on

Krieg's loads of fun. first levels aren't anything special, but once you go through his middle branch and equip yourself properly he becomes unstoppable (Law and Order for example heal you for the amount of DMG you deal on each hit, so if your melee hits deal good damage you never have to worry about your HP). also, his Fight For Your Life mechanic becomes different from others and is also very fun to do (you get a stack of dynamite and your movement isn't impaired, you run around tossing explosives at enemies, and once your timer runs out you explode, if you happen to kill at least one enemy with the blast, you are revived; you can also force the big explosion at any time during FFYL) I'm loving my Psycho

had to watch Eden again... because Jamie Chung. but while she gives a very solid performance, the rest of the movie is pretty good too. her character is very complex, supporting characters are good, directing is good, camerawork etc. the story is engaging. especially if we believe the "based on a true story" bit.
