What You've Done Today - We do not remember days, we remember moments
Azdeus replied to ShadySands's topic in Way Off-Topic
That reminds me of the time I got to shotgun one of my driver friends in his Volvo FH16 750 dual clutch edition, granted he only had 33 tonnes loaded, but that truck went smoother up an 11% incline than my car does, I noticed the shift more from the change in sound than anything else, amazing stuff -
What You've Done Today - We do not remember days, we remember moments

Worked, been back for a couple of weeks now but I still have alot of pain in my neck, so I've taken to sacrificing my knees for my neck to continue getting better by driving our small tug instead of bodycarrier at work. It's seat turns around 180 degrees and you can sit and reverse trailers while facing them, real handy when you don't want to hang out the window and look where you're going. It's a bit of a faff though and feels real weird, so I just used the mirrors instead and everyone was shocked how well I managed it. That hurt a bit, not gonna lie. Only reason why I don't use mirrors while driving a bodycarrier is that it has some POS mercedes inline-4 that shakes the tractor so badly that you can't see where you're going, making it extremely unsafe to use them. I've been pushing for us to get Volvo inline-6s (Balanced and smooth running) same as the tug has on our soon to be delivered new tractors, another plus is that the volvo engine has never really let us down except a faulty radiator hose, while the Mercedes engines breaks down atleast once a month. Savings and increased useability Also told them to mount side window wipers, because c'mon, we really need that to see out the sides. -
Feel free to try it though, but make a mistake opening one of those cans and you will ruin your home for months to come. You would also be lucky to get one of those cans, since Swedens bass ackwards fishing policies we've overfished like crazy. I read that a can can go for upwards of 250$ on some trading sites.

Don't be silly, that'd never be our national dish, it's not rotten enough. That said, it's not unheard of with salmon on pizza here. I'd say the tomato sauce counts for ketchup Salmon is a bit expensive to have on pizza though, but tuna is pretty common. Mackerel in tomato sauce on a sandwich is nice though.

I'm sorry but Red Alert 3 already has that claim.

Yeah, without a completed inspection, not counting the grace period, the car is considered to be out of spec and as such your insurance(Mandatory by the way) isn't valid. Come 17th of September, if I haven't passed inspection the car isn't allowed on the road except to drive it to a garage, junkyard or inspection site. I'm somewhat lucky though, my car is new enough to have an ABS-system, but it's not new enough to be inspected with an OBD2 reader. It's my ABS warning light, the ABS system still works from what I could tell testing it on my gravel roads here. If it turns out that it's not just a sensor that is misbehaving but the ABS module, I'm just going to wire the dashboard so that the ABS light lights up during checkup so that he'll see the light works and then stays off.

Went and had my car inspected yesterday, and it's fine, all is fine. Second to last thing the tech does is some inspections underneath on a lift, when he drops the lift down the last few cms from the floor the lift does a sort of bounce, and my car starts rolling off the lift into the carpark. I managed to slam the open car door closed in the last millisecond, so atleast that didn't get sheared off. The tech forgot to chock the tyres. He drives it up the lift again to make the last check under the hood, all is fine. He jumps into the car again to drive off the lift, turns the key and the starter does two revs before the battery goes flat... Nema problema, he has a booster so we get the car going again and drives off the lift and parks outside. Hands me the key and says that the ABS warning light has come on, tells me that I have a month to fix it.. And has the nerve to ask me for 60$ for the service off nearly ripping my door off. I got a wee bit pissed when he asked for money, though I think the death glare I gave him at that time had him change his mind as he waived the fee the instant after the words had left his mouth. Spent the day tearing apart the generator, to get a look at the charge regulator and it was definetly worn out. Got a new one and installed it, and now I hope that was the only fault. The generator does look like it has been through 450 000kms. The ABS warning light is still on though, not looking forward to finding what is faulty with that. If it's the abs module itself I'm proper ****ed as a new one is 2000$, or thereabout. If I can find one.

Most of his stuff is pretty old, but gold, that said he recently announced a new season of stuff coming!

If you're looking to hire another, I can recommend Thor, his... uhm... candies are real nice. Not that Scopes biscuits are bad though.

No, you're limited in AIM mercs, but not the extra ones. Or rather, you can have 15 AIM mercs, plus one imp, and then extras.
-
You're correct, you can tab through them though

That'd have fit perfectly as the expanded mag

I'd like to see modders get on fixing things like magazine size and such before that, it bugs the living daylights out of me that the FAL has a 30 round magazine as standard. Overall I'd like to see a solid balance pass, the only real reason right now to have a 5.56 is ammo variety. And fix some other details. Also, Grizzly with a shortbarrelled MG recks. Hard. Both the enemy and my ammo supply. I've had him chew through 120+ rounds of 7.62 Nato in one round...

Yeah, that mod didn't work as well as I had hoped. Atleast modders are starting to release mods outside of **** workshop. I wholeheartedly agree with the poor stealth system, I think it's worse than Jagged Alliance 1. Why they haven't kept cololur coded ammo counters is beyond me, not to mention the extremely lacklustre inventory system. Having my mercs deploy in the middle of the map all of a sudden instead of where I left them, at effective firing positions, and being forced to run to meet them feels very bad to me. And for some reason that is beyond me armies and mercs have started tig welding accessories to their firearms. Why I can't have two mercs teaching different things with one student is really annoying, but not as annoying as only having 10 "slots" in the repair queue so that you have to renavigate the operations menu every time they are finished fixing up their current things, just have the same kind of popup as when you train militia. Atleast the AI seems somewhat improved, atleast once better trained troops turn up. But I got some biscuits from Scope, so it's better now

It's not so bad, I can understand like 3-5% of what they're saying

I can't be bothered to dig through the webpage to find a direct link to the video, so here's a link to the article with the video of the Fagradalsfjall volcano first breaking through the ground. Looks pretty damn cool https://www.visir.is/g/20232439767d/grjot-og-mosi-thyrlast-upp-thegar-kvikan-bryst-i-gegn

Warhammer 40k 10th edition core rules are now free....
Azdeus replied to Gorth's topic in Pen-and-Paper Gaming
Yeah, I got a couple of hits from around 2007, but, hard to verify it. I think I've heard it mentioned in some Horus Heresy novel aswell, but I don't have a searchable copy, besides the Heresy series spans a few years. -

My google-fu is pretty weak, but I've seen refrences from before that, though I don't know how reliable that stuff is because I don't know how to verify the date that google tells me. Edit; I'm fairly certain I've seen it mentioned before, since I've got Astra Militarum in my pen and paper notes from ~2010. But I don't know if that is because we might have heard it in a novel or such. -

Dammit, don't know why that slipped in, brainfart. I was even reading the text that said Munitorum... Aha! From Dark Heresy 2nd edition. -

I might get it mixed up with Departmento Ministorum, but Astra Militarum really pokes at my memory about something. I've consumed way too much content to place it though, the only thing I've never really read are the codices
