  1. There is interest atleast, but it varies with age from what little I know, between stocks and just plain interest, and if you show any interest yourself you can make some changes in what funds to choose and stuffs like that. All I know for sure is that I have to work full time until I'm 80 before my pension is the same as my rather pathetic wage is.
  2. Dunno about the rest of Europe, but here a part of your taxes gets placed in state run funds, the employer pays a part of your wage into another fund and then you can save privately aswell if you're well off enough. I honestly haven't bothered looking into it, my pension is at 300 ish dollars so I'm going for the Gyttorp special pension.
  3. There is one thing in the series that elevates it to a ten for me, the use of a Swedish song as the sombre music for Raftalia when shes heartbroken.
  4. Really, CDPR? Really?
  5. Not gonna lie, I know some crazy peeps that wax their tailpipe...
  6. I like Johnny too much for my own good. Then again, had technology progressed as in the Cyberpunk RPG and such I'd probably have been a Johnny Silverhand. **** corporations.
  7. It's for transfers between terminals, i.e. from Gothenburg to Stockholm, Malmö, Örebro, Jönköping and such. So mainly it's for highways, though there are a few roundabouts to navigate, but as far as I know they have been rebuilt recently to allow longer vehicles to cut through the center part a bit. Like this
  8. My employer is going to start running a new combination soon, it's not as impressive as the land trains, but fullsized truck with container pulling a dolly with a link followed by a trailer. The bottom combination. I doubt many drivers are happy about this, but they have nothing to complain about since they're not the people that are going to have to finagle this combination together, that's my job. I get a headache thinking about how much work it's going to be, I ****ing hate links. We're not pulling 98 tonnes though, since parcels aren't that compact or heavy generally speaking.
  9. Hmm... yes, this'll fit nicely. Muse - Knights of cydonia cover by El Estepario Siberiano. Crazy good drummer.
  10. You're not imagining things with the radio station, they're releasing a patch for it.
  11. Mostly because she's quite bemused, and sometimes confused, by my attempts, and some of the teasing is directed at me from giving her more attention than other drivers. I learned today that she doesn't read lips either since she's only ever really used sign language in school and in private. Thankfully (For me) she's good at shaping words, so I can read her lips more than try to follow along her blisteringly fast signing, since I'm hearing impaired I've always used lip reading as support for my bad hearing. That said, with the exception of three coworkers, 9 are young enough that I could've been their father without breaking any laws. Edit; Thankfully, they aren't childish enough to make fun of someones disability, except ribbing me a bit when I can't hear what the F they are yabbering about over the radio.
  12. A deaf girl has started to drive for my workplace, and I've been hanging around her when she shows up to make sure she's ok, since I know a teeny lil bit of Swedish sign language unlike my colleagues. I feel bad for her when something is broken and her hands are full of grease and her only way of communicating is her tapping out messages on her cellphone. Naturally, merciless teasing has begun. And I've to both of our amusement noticed how much of an automatic action it is for me to turn down the radio when I stop to talk to a driver It does sometimes fall into David Armand territory for me though
  13. It's hard to believe they went that route after what happened with WotC.
  14. It's hard to make people aware of something when there is an information blackout though. Iraq, Syria and Ukraine had/has loads of images and videos come out, journalists weren't being kept out of the area and kept it in the news cycle. And people seem to not read news anymore as much as watch it, and a talking head with scant few still images is less likely to draw attention(Or views if you want to be crass) compared to the barrage that you can get from other places. Same thing with Chinas genocides, not considering that any real action against Poohs actions are likely to quadruple the price of said iphones.
  15. You know it's gusting pretty bad when you lift a trailer on the fifth wheel and the windgust causes the trailer to slide to the side... Very well greased fifth wheel though, must be said.
  16. That reminds me of the time I got to shotgun one of my driver friends in his Volvo FH16 750 dual clutch edition, granted he only had 33 tonnes loaded, but that truck went smoother up an 11% incline than my car does, I noticed the shift more from the change in sound than anything else, amazing stuff
  17. Worked, been back for a couple of weeks now but I still have alot of pain in my neck, so I've taken to sacrificing my knees for my neck to continue getting better by driving our small tug instead of bodycarrier at work. It's seat turns around 180 degrees and you can sit and reverse trailers while facing them, real handy when you don't want to hang out the window and look where you're going. It's a bit of a faff though and feels real weird, so I just used the mirrors instead and everyone was shocked how well I managed it. That hurt a bit, not gonna lie. Only reason why I don't use mirrors while driving a bodycarrier is that it has some POS mercedes inline-4 that shakes the tractor so badly that you can't see where you're going, making it extremely unsafe to use them. I've been pushing for us to get Volvo inline-6s (Balanced and smooth running) same as the tug has on our soon to be delivered new tractors, another plus is that the volvo engine has never really let us down except a faulty radiator hose, while the Mercedes engines breaks down atleast once a month. Savings and increased useability Also told them to mount side window wipers, because c'mon, we really need that to see out the sides.
  18. I'm looking forward to it, I've had immense fun with MW5. I don't like how they are emotionally manipulating me with the MW2 cover screen though. Dirty trickses
  19. Feel free to try it though, but make a mistake opening one of those cans and you will ruin your home for months to come. You would also be lucky to get one of those cans, since Swedens bass ackwards fishing policies we've overfished like crazy. I read that a can can go for upwards of 250$ on some trading sites.
  20. Don't be silly, that'd never be our national dish, it's not rotten enough. That said, it's not unheard of with salmon on pizza here. I'd say the tomato sauce counts for ketchup Salmon is a bit expensive to have on pizza though, but tuna is pretty common. Mackerel in tomato sauce on a sandwich is nice though.
  21. It's such a pain when it happens in tabletop, no saves to roll back to, it's straight back to the character editor
  22. I'm sorry but Red Alert 3 already has that claim.
  23. Yeah, without a completed inspection, not counting the grace period, the car is considered to be out of spec and as such your insurance(Mandatory by the way) isn't valid. Come 17th of September, if I haven't passed inspection the car isn't allowed on the road except to drive it to a garage, junkyard or inspection site. I'm somewhat lucky though, my car is new enough to have an ABS-system, but it's not new enough to be inspected with an OBD2 reader. It's my ABS warning light, the ABS system still works from what I could tell testing it on my gravel roads here. If it turns out that it's not just a sensor that is misbehaving but the ABS module, I'm just going to wire the dashboard so that the ABS light lights up during checkup so that he'll see the light works and then stays off.
  24. Went and had my car inspected yesterday, and it's fine, all is fine. Second to last thing the tech does is some inspections underneath on a lift, when he drops the lift down the last few cms from the floor the lift does a sort of bounce, and my car starts rolling off the lift into the carpark. I managed to slam the open car door closed in the last millisecond, so atleast that didn't get sheared off. The tech forgot to chock the tyres. He drives it up the lift again to make the last check under the hood, all is fine. He jumps into the car again to drive off the lift, turns the key and the starter does two revs before the battery goes flat... Nema problema, he has a booster so we get the car going again and drives off the lift and parks outside. Hands me the key and says that the ABS warning light has come on, tells me that I have a month to fix it.. And has the nerve to ask me for 60$ for the service off nearly ripping my door off. I got a wee bit pissed when he asked for money, though I think the death glare I gave him at that time had him change his mind as he waived the fee the instant after the words had left his mouth. Spent the day tearing apart the generator, to get a look at the charge regulator and it was definetly worn out. Got a new one and installed it, and now I hope that was the only fault. The generator does look like it has been through 450 000kms. The ABS warning light is still on though, not looking forward to finding what is faulty with that. If it's the abs module itself I'm proper ****ed as a new one is 2000$, or thereabout. If I can find one.
